Came for a Sunday Brunch.
My table got the sweet and Hot Chicken and French Toast specialty and the white chocolate pancakes.

The sweet and hot chicken was alright but my friend liked it. White chocolate bread pudding pancakes were def my favorite!

The beignets are delicious too. Plenty of powered sugar to go on top.

The wait could be long so consider calling ahead of time.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Ruby Slipper in downtown Pensacola and I must say, it was a delightful experience. Despite a slight wait, the restaurant went above and beyond to ensure our comfort by providing us with a device that allowed us to explore the area while waiting. This thoughtful gesture made the wait much more enjoyable.

Our server, Jules, deserves special recognition for her exceptional service. She was incredibly attentive and promptly fulfilled any request we had. Whether it was extra napkins, hot sauce, or additional creamers for our coffee, Jules brought them to our table with remarkable speed. Her attentiveness truly enhanced our dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the food. My wife and I decided to split an appetizer of pig candy bacon bites, and they were absolutely fantastic. The combination of sweet and savory flavors was a true delight. As someone who typically avoids sweet breakfast options, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try the Sweet Heat Chicken & French Toast Bites. Let me tell you, they were beyond amazing. The perfect balance of sweetness and heat made them an instant favorite, and I can confidently say they will be my new go-to dish.

My wife opted for a build-your-own omelette with mushroom, spinach, and tomatoes, and it was exactly as she wanted it. The ingredients were fresh, and the omelette was cooked to perfection. The quality of the food at the Ruby Slipper truly impressed us.

Overall, our experience at the Ruby Slipper was outstanding, and I attribute much of that to our server, Jules. Her attentive and efficient service made us feel well taken care of. Combined with the delicious food, this restaurant is definitely a must-visit in downtown Pensacola.

One of the best brunches I ever had. Great service, great food, great drinks! I had the One Tomato, Two Tomato Eggs Benedict, Citrus Mimosa, the Mimosa flight. I like the citrus mimosa best. Everything came out fast and fresh.

I am so used to being disappointed every time I go out... This place was such a nice change! The service was great! The food was exploding with freshness and flavor!!! I didn't want it to end! I suggested to my wife that we just stay until we get hungry again, lol!

I had the migas, so good! Only thing I could say bad is that I didn't like the shape of the chips, I'd rather have fat, normal looking chips than French fry cuts.
My wife had a chicken St. Charles and an eggs cochon with the pulled pork, they were also amazing, I liked the pulled pork one better. The hollandaise was fantastic!

Beignets and bacon were really good!

The tables, chairs, and benches could use an update.

Overall, I am only mad that I hadn't tried them sooner! I have heard the Pensacola location is the best one and cannot wait to go back!

Hands down the best breakfast in Pensacola! We had an excellent time, our server was knowledgeable and friendly, he kindly gave us a quick run down of the menu since it was our first time.
The kids meals are plenty big, our 2 and 4 year old girls split a kids pancake meal and they can do any of their pancakes for the kiddos meal. The bacon candy was superb, the sweet potato beignets were out of this world (I'd love to find a recipe for the sweet potato custard that went with it), we really enjoyed the Cajun bennie, my inlaws got the eggs cochon, I don't like overly sweet coffee and the ice vanilla latte was perfect.

I don't think we'll ever go anywhere else for breakfast, everything is made in house and fresh to order, and now I think regular family breakfasts are in order.

For what you get the prices are perfect. We'll be back!!

Absolutely loved this place! I had the Ruby Special which was three of their most popular eggs benedict’s and they were great. The french toast bites and candied bacon was also fantastic. Loved the bloody mary as well. Highly recommend - great amount of food for the price too. Also the service? Absolutely top notch. Adored our waitress.

Great experience all around! The service was fantastic. I arrived shortly before they opened; they had a large crowd, but was able to seat everyone quickly and no delays on food coming out! The food itself was fabulous. We started off with the loaded taters. The gravy had an amazing flavor while not being overpowering. The roast was nice and tender. I ordered the Chicken St. Charlie’s Benedict for my main course. It was outstanding; the chicken had a great crunch, yet it was super juicy on the inside. The biscuit was tasty as well. The gravy really helped everything come together!

I ordered the catfish and grits and it was to die for. Easily the best grits I've ever had, and the catfish was way up there. The included biscuit (with honey butter?) was great too.

Let me start by saying my family loves this place! It’s a tradition for us to stop on our way back from the Florida panhandle. Some helpful tips when coming here, use the Google app to add yourself to the waitlist if you’re coming at a peak (brunch) time. You’ll save time and a headache. Parking can be difficult here, so be prepared to parallel park in the street. Now for the food, it’s satisfying, and there are sweet and savory options for the whole family. We had the breakfast tacos with shrimp, avocado toast, florentine omelette, white chocolate bread pudding pancakes, New Orleans style iced coffee and a kid’s chocolate chip pancakes. Our server Donna was attentive and knowledgeable about menu questions. We will definitely be back here again very soon!

This place was PACKED. Had to wait an hour to get seated. But that wasn’t an issue because it was WELL worth it. Even as busy as they were, they were very attentive. Got our food in less than 30 minutes. And it was AMAZING. I was blown away at the quality of this food. They got all of our orders right and it was all hot and fresh. The biscuits were the BEST I’ve ever had. Made fresh and so soft and fluffy. I’d give 10 stars if I could. The eggs Benedict, just wow. The chicken was crispy and juicy and so fresh. The shrimp omelet was perfect and so cheesy you could stretch the cheese to the ceiling. Not enough words to describe the satisfaction we had from the restaurant.

The Ruby Slipper Cafe is a true Gem!

I started with the pig candied bacon bites and a seasonal beignet, both were yummy and left me craving more.

The specialty pancake was carrot cake. I had to try it and I’m so glad I did! Fluffy and flavorful!

I had the grilled fish St. Peter. My first plate was overcooked but when I expressed my concern, it was immediately replaced. The grilled fish, shrimp and cheesy grit cake paired with the freshly sautéed spinach and tomatoes, topped with creole hollandaise…delectable and amazing!
I love this dish so much and I am sad to note that it was a specialty item that has been removed from the menu.

Our server was incredible and the atmosphere is warm and inviting! It felt good to be in a place where the staff was smiling and accommodating!

I have dined at Ruby Sunshine in Charlotte and now, Ruby Slipper in Pensacola. I am happy with both experiences.

This was amazinggggg!!!! Everything was sooooo good! I had the breakfast tacos with the pork sausage and it was phenomenal. The grits were also good as well. Literally the best grits I've ever had. And the vanilla spiced latte was too good!!! That is literally the best coffee I've ever had. And Kaylee was such a joy. She was an amazing server and she was so kind and attentive. This is literally the best Ruby Slipper I've ever been too and I've been to several different locations. This was one is just different. Great vibes, great energy, great food, 10/10 definitely recommend.

Our server was amazing!! I believe Kelly was her name; the food was delicious. I had the omelet with fresh fruit and cranberry juice. I highly recommend The Ruby Slipper for any meal. It is a variety of food. I'm sure you can find something great to enjoy. Let's not forget mimosas, coffee, juices, and sodas. Whatever you order; you will enjoy and go back time and time again.

I have been 2 other times, and it wasn't my favorite TODAY was DELIGHTFUL! Even having to wait 45 min to get a table, everything was deliciou, and our server Crystal was on point! I had the shrimp and grits. Very different from others around town, but i very much enjoyed them, only criticism i that they needed to be a little hotter. They were warm but not hot. Pur table also had french toast bite, and they too were delicous. Very pleased over all and will be back.

Large breakfast crowd but handled well - we didn't have to wait long. Five of us ordered something different and everyone enjoyed their fresh food

I was pleasantly surprised with the great tasting, high quality options. The staff was friendly and attentive (even offering water for my puppy as we waited for our food at the outside dining area). The food was delicious, served hot and fresh. The ambiance was very inviting.

The restrooms were impeccable, which speaks highly of this very busy and rightfully popular restaurant.

My daughters and I made a last minute decision to come here and try brunch and we're so glad we did. Bloody Mary is pretty spicy so keep that in mind if you order one. I also tried the breakfast margarita and that was good. They were busy but we were still seated within 5 minutes of us arriving. I really enjoyed my Bennie. The fried chicken on it was cooked perfectly. My oldest daughter said it was the best omelet she ever had. The biscuit really tasted homemade. And you definitely have to try the butter with the biscuit. You'll thank me later.

Cristal was great! So friendly and helped me pick a delicious meal. I got the breakfast tacos, a biscuit, and an iced vanilla coffee. The tacos were SO good and I've had many a breakfast tacos! The butter that's made in house for the biscuits was really good as well-- like a savory sweet treat. The coffee was okay but I forgot upon ordering that I don't really like nutmeg so that's no fault of theirs. Ruby Slipper is a bit pricey for the portion sizes but they make up for it with the service, flavor, and atmosphere. Outside seating is comfortable despite the summer heat with the shade and several fans going.
