I had a friendly welcome the second I walked in. I let the host know I have a dog with me and without hesitation they said that’s fine. The first thing I ordered was the fried chicken, collard greens, Northern beans, macaroni and cheese. it came out fast and it was super delicious. I was hungry after that because I’ve been camping all week and I ordered the hotdog. I got sweet slaw, relish, and onions, and it was delicious. Thank you so much for the great experience Lisa.

It's been a solid ten years since I last set foot in the Mason Jar, and man, was it a comeback worth making. I dove straight into the Hamburger Steak Dinner. Talk about a homerun choice. With corn, green beans, and collards on the side, it was a feast fit for a king.

They even tossed in a piece of cornbread on the house. It was a bit on the sweeter side for my taste, but still hit the spot perfect for mopping up all that hearty goodness.

If you're around the area, the Mason Jar is a no-brainer. Trust me, if I'm ever back this way, it's on my must visit list. Big thumbs up!

Wow, wow, wow, if you love a home cook meal (comfort food), you have to visit Mason Jar in Dona Vista, FL. We have eaten fried fish in many restaurants, but their All-you-can-eat fried fish special on Friday was the best we have ever eaten. Generous portions, delicious sides, and food was nice and hot. Our waitress Nicole was awesome (btw, all who were there serving were very nice). She took care of us for sure, but what we loved the most was her happy disposition. We will definitely visit Mason Jar, and you all should too!

PS. We went back on Sunday for their All-you-can eat fried chicken 🍗, just as delicious as the fried fish. 😋 and the Coconut Pie 🥧 to die for!!!

I absolutely love this place. Everytime I'm in Umatilla I make this my go to lunch spot. Never had a bad meal! I've had the Reuben, philly cheesesteak, and the Mason jar club. All very yummy.

Great breakfast. The staff is exceptional, friendly service. Biscuits and gravy were very good! Got a piece of banana cake for our friend. I’m sure it’s wonderful too!

Great little diner type sit down. We had the breakfast and it didn't disappoint. The staff was extremely friendly and got along with each other like family. The food portions were large and the quality was excellent. I'm not sure where they got their bacon from but it was amazing. The grits were great also. I asked for soft scrambled eggs and got this what I wanted. We we're not there for lunch but for lunch like a good option to try if ever you are in town.

Had the corned beef Ruben and crinkle cut fries. All good.
They offer many specials daily.

Lots of parking, great experience. Wish this jewel were closer to home (some 700+ miles away).

The place is always packed when I drive by and decided to stop w my hubby on way back from a weekend away. We really enjoyed the country feel and forgot to take pics of food. The staff is very kind and food is delish, we had biscuits/gravy, pancake platter and french toast. Literally ate it all before we realized!

Locally famous. A must stop. The service is excellent and the food is even better. Some of our breakfast favorites are pancakes, country fried steak, biscuits and gravy with home fries and hash browns. Don’t forget the sweet tea. Southern hospitality with that family feeling we all know and love. Mason Jar just keeps getting better, adorable! Something for everyone.

The Mason Jar is a great family friendly restaurant with great service and amazing food. 👏 the biscuits are top notch! Service here was fast and friendly and the menu has lots of tasy options it's hard to choose what to eat. The parking lot here is huge, we had no problem parking. The atmosphere here was clean and had lots of cool stuff to look at. Definitely worth checking out!

Lovely country cooking diner we found on our road trip. Staff was friendly and service was great. The food was oh so good and delicious. Served fresh and hot. Very comforting and satisfying.

Was visiting family in Eustis, and my niece took us here for lunch. I had the fried chicken, collard greens, mashed potatoes, and pickled beets. The chicken was perfect crunchy on the outside moist on the inside. The wait staff were super friendly and very attentive but not intrusive.

My husband and I have been coming here for years, it’s our favorite breakfast spot in the world, literally. The food is always good (the home fries are to die for), the service is top notch (the waitresses are all friendly and so on top of everything, the food comes out so quick & the wait is never very long), and the atmosphere is great. They have continued to offer exceptional food and service when other restaurants have slowly gone down hill with time. My only recommendation is to bring a sweater bc they like to keep it chilly for us Floridians.

Consistently one of the best restaurants we've ever eaten at. Service is great food is wonderful and we will continue to go there and send other people there which of which we have many.

Dried large Lima beans with ham, stewed tomatoes, rice, and a corn muffin. All washed down with a huge glass of iced tea. Home made cherry cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. The food is incredible, southern home style cooking. The service and prices were great. I'll be back!

The best experience of my life! The food was outrageously good..
I ordered the all you can eat fish fry. Where I come from there's a fish fry every Friday this is the first fish fry I found that was THAT good! The service and my waitress was amazing! My waitress actually told the staff it was my birthday she brought me out a dessert and everybody in the restaurant sang to me! Like that wasn't humbling enough, I walked to the register and the gentleman in front of me said you must be Susan when I said yes he said let me take that for you, he and his wife paid my bill!! You don't just meet people like this everyday! The people of Umatilla and of the Mason Jar restaurant those are my people! I believe God puts you where you're supposed to be, I'll forever be grateful that he put me there on that day! I will definitely be back! Thank you for the best experience ever! ❤

Good simple food done right. For noon on a Thursday the place was packed. Got seated immediately, drink in under 2 minutes, salad less than 3 minutes after ordering. Chicken parmigiana came out screaming hot (and super juicy) in less than 10 minutes. Again, surprising considering how busy it was. portion size was massive. Meat sauce was a pleasant surprise. Staff is a pleasure. They came recommended by some locals and I see why.

We frequent The Mason Jar a few times a month and love everything on the menu. The servers are very attentive and personable. They are quick and always have a smile on their faces.

I've been waiting on visiting for the first time since moving to Central Florida. I had the fried cubed steak, mashed potatoes, great lima beans, and cornbread.
Highly recommend and will return!
