Spanish River Athletic Park

This is a large park with lots of different areas for playing sports or working out. A walking/running path goes around the lake. There is a tunnel under East Palmetto Park Road connecting to the path around Big Lake and to the Pondhawk Natural Area. A covered workout area has machines for different workouts on the east side of the lake.

There is a nice covered area with a few picnic tables, bathrooms and water fountains. There are a few other places with benches to sit at. The parking lot is large and I’ve never seen it busy even with a few games happening on the different sport fields.

My husband and I really enjoy this park. Hubby plays soccer here regularly. From the first time I visited this park I was impressed with how well maintained the grounds and facilities were. The park looks brand new but it’s actually been around for a few years. They have a walking trail which is really nice (no dogs allowed FYI). **not to be confused with Spanish River Park by A1A. The names are super close and often people mix up the two. ** This is a great park to bring your kids and families as well as sports teams to practice and play here.

I really love this place. It’s peaceful for walking, for relaxing, for picnics, for biking, … I can do many interesting things there .

Awesome HalfBike riding today. Ease of access. Lake is gorgeous and serene. Space enough to breath without my mask. Several species of birds: storks and herons and turtles.🐢

Fantastic park! My son loves it. It’s got baseball fields, soccer fields, a playground for kids, and much more. This is a wonderful place to go for a walk or a bike ride. It is kept very clean and has accessible restrooms.

The baseball fields are usually empty so you can run around them if you want. There are often city leagues playing on the soccer field but they are also just as often empty and available.

The playground is really nice and fenced in so you don’t need to worry about your little one running off.

We went fishing here and it was nice. It was hot but it was a quiet park and it was really big if you have a pet you want to bring here. There were a few games being held. Theresa a really bug walking space and even a bridge that connects to the lake next to the library. The bathrooms were also pretty decent. I will definitely be coming back here again.

Best fields in south Florida.

BEST PARK in all of Boca Raton. Was there yesterday for the first time and it was a huge WOW!!!!😜

Fitness area has three pull up bars. Overall good time. The iguanas only side eye you hard if you walk too slow. Watch for snakes are on the library side by the natural area/lake.

This park has so much to offer. Ball fields, walk around the lake and access to the north big Lake by the library.

Good place to skate. Nice gravel, easy on the wheels. I skate on 90's so no major sharp turns or heavy debris. Tuesdays there's a skate meet up around 6pm. Some skaters come on tri skates. You can skate on a path around the baseball field and soccer field or choose the nature path.

Such a big park. Lived in Boca for 30 years. Didn't even know it was there across the street from the Spanish River library. Could walk for miles, baseball fields and soccer fields. Very nice

Had a nice day first Sunday of the month, under the trees to the north of the lake. Having a flow props jam, And could hear the drum circle guys practicing or just jamming out. Was wonderful.

Spacious and clean. Great place to roam and wonder.

Fabulous for walking or bike-riding. There is a miniature zoo it's about two-and-a-half miles long. At the end of the trail is a beautiful library the library and where you park your car there are restrooms

Very nice place to take the kiddos. Well kept up & clean. Great place for kids who are in sports & need a place to practice. My daughter practices for softball there all the time & loves the set up SRAP has to offer.
