Harbor Winds Hotel

This little hotel by the water was fantastic. Quiet, clean, economical and friendly are words to describe it. A very nice continental breakfast comes from room. There was also a amazing little fish market across the street that sold delicious seafood dinners. We met the owner of Harbor Winds, Luke who was also very friendly. We later discovered that the owners have another fantastic hotel in Lake Geneva called Maxwell Mansions that we are looking forward to staying. Fantastic Experience!!

Super friendly and helpful staff. This hotel is a cut above others in its class. Quiet, clean, nice amenities and great location on the river. Some rooms overlook a parking lot, others the river. Walkable, with restaurants nearby.

Hotel managers are recent grads, new as of 2023, with degrees in Hotel&Restaurant Management. They were personable, joyful and kind. We stayed here for our anniversary and my husband asked the manager to bring me a surprise continental breakfast to our room and she was happy to do so! Continental breakfast was full of yummy, toastable goodies, yogurts, juices, etc. We especially liked the microwave-able waffles!
Rooms are clean! We enjoyed the river view and watching the bridge open for boats. This is also the first time I've seen make-up remover wipes provided by hotel room sink.
This hotel is in a nice location right on river, walking distance from the lake, Pacifico restaurant, Blue Harbor Resort and the lighthouse!
Would gladly stay here again.

I absolutely loved my stay here with my honey! This is our second time staying here. Emely (manager) was so very attentive to guests needs. Anything we needed something we just asked and got it. I absolutely love the Belgian Waffles they the best part of the breakfast. All the breakfast is great to me but those Belgian Waffles are so good and they go quick! Just like the coffee! But anytime the coffee is out you just go to the front desk and ask for more and they will refill it. Very laid back place.

My experience at Harbor Winds was fantastic! It sits in an ideal location right on the water. The staff is wonderfully attentive to details and quite willing to go above and beyond. Emely, the Manager, is approachable and kind. The next time I come out for a visit, I will most certainly be staying here again. Thank you so much!

This place was Amazing. Stayed here during our Road America trip because there were no rooms to be had anywhere for Vintage Weekend. Girl at the desk was very friendly. Rooms were very clean. Awesome views all over. Would definitely stay here again!

Quaint little place, you can see the shores of Lake Michigan. Rooms were clean and nice, staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nothing to write home about, but its nicely located near local and chain options. No noise problems, the walls were solid.

Location was perfect, but more importantly, the staff could not have been better. Samantha and Ann were very accommodating and very nice. Great view of the river from our room. Complimentary breakfast area was clean and offered alot more than other hotels. Overall great experience and I'll be back for sure!

A lovely small hotel right on the river. Breakfast room has great view and sunny. New owners are very nice and helpful. We will stay again when in the area.

This is a great two star hotel! We loved that it was close to the beach and the state park. You can walk to restaurants and the shore. We brought a box fan as noise travels from the hallway. The full size beds were too narrow for my husband and I so we brought an air mattress for our kids. We got a room with double beds that was non smoking. The room was clean and smelled fresh. There was a generous breakfast with juice, frozen sandwiches, coffee, yogurt… the staff was nice and responded to our requests. Overall it was good for its rating and we kept our vacation on budget.

My family stays here while they’re in town visiting and I also recommend this hote to all of my charter fishing guests.

The rooms were beautiful... the hallways were full of laundry and cleaning carts the whole time we were there... it was odd not sure if they were short staffed or what ... only thing I was pretty upset about was their pool was closed due to covid... I have stayed at countless hotels and motels while covid has been a thing and all their pools were open! They really should state it on their website. I would 100% stay their again.

The lady (I didn't get her name) that was on when we showed up looking for a room on a very "tourist" busy weekend was excellent. She knew the area, made a great suggestion for dinner, and was just all around the queen of hospitality. Very quaint facility, great location on the wharf. We were very pleased with the whole experience, but especially the lady that worked the evening shift on June 30, '18 👍👍.

This hotel was fantastic. It felt like the rooms had just been redone. They were clean and up to date. The staff was as really nice and the free breakfast was better than we had hoped. We will deffinitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a five star rating because compared to any other place to stay near by it is a tremendous value. Hotels near by with the same price point do not have the comfort and location. Hotels with the same location are twice the price. Also the breakfast included real Kringle.

Can hear this hotel for the price. Comfortable beds, nice shower, and a better than average breakfast buffet. Did not lounge with nice view of the river. Will stay there again. Only caveats are no pool, no elevator but clean and comfortable.

This hotel is the absolute best I have e er been to and not because it's a 5 star. I've stayed in many hotels during work travel but this one has the best and friendliest staff. I felt safe and cozy. I slept very peacefully last night. I honestly wish I was able to stay another night. But I moved into my apartment so... lol. But I would recommend it to anyone traveling to this area for a night or for a month.

Was as advertised. Great location on the river. Close to bars/ restaurants. Rooms were clean. Parking was fine. Neighborhood is nice. Price is good for the rooms. Would stay again next trip

Such a scenic place to stay during fall. I didn't realize it was right next to the river. Such a scenic location. Lovely. Great place to stay. Very good receptionists to welcome you even at late night and give your room.
