My wife and I like to treat ourselves to Michelin Star caliber restaurants for special occasions. The Immigrant Restaurant did not disappoint! Our servers--Angle and Cori--did a fantastic job of making us feel welcome, helped make recommendations, and let us feel like royalty for an evening. John--the sommelier--provided us with both great wine pairings and great conversation.

I was hesitate to try the Pacific Sea Urchin dish, but gave it a shot at Angle's recommendation. I am so glad that I did! It was delicious, and the type of dish you can only find at a restaurant of this caliber.

My wife enjoyed the five course vegetarian menu and I enjoyed the traditional five course menu. Both were great! But, with her getting different dishes, it did give me the chance to sample a whole other side of the menu.

Thanks for the great experience!

I give it 5 stars based on our experience. First the team/staff/servers were amazing. We have three ladies serving us and we do not have to wait for our food long to arrive. The drink I had Old Wisconsin Old Fashion was the bomb. My wife had the 5 course dinner and I had the lamb chops. Food was exceptionally good! Happy tummy. The price was actually not bad at all.

The Immigrant Restaurant was a great, special dinner for us. Definitely on the pricey side and formal wear was required. The food was exceptional though, definitely the best of our honeymoon trip, and nice for our last night staying at The American Club!!

We had some great drinks, especially the Tommy Boy and the Old Faithful Old Fashioned.

They started us with a small spoon with some cheese, fig, and pistachio as well as a variety of bread with mustard butter (just a hint of mustard flavor from the mustard seeds).

For dinner, my wife had the Halibut with Lobster gnocchi and I had the Wellington. Their take on the Wellington was unique and fantastic! Just a small piece of the puff pastry, not wrapped fully, laying against the perfectly cooked beef. The freshly shaved black truffle, trumpet mushrooms, and purple potatoes were perfect compliments to each bite of the beef.

Overall, this was a great experience and a nice, fancy night out for me and my wife. We really enjoyed ourselves and the food was amazing.

I absolutely Love this place. The food is top notch! The different tasting menus are all wonderfully thought out. And even if you are not in the restaurant, but just want to pop in the bar, the service there is also very good.

Jenna, Justin, and Callahan were absolutely amazing. We had a Manhattan contest to see whom made the better Manhattan. Callahan edged Jenna by 1% with Justin’s recipe with honorable mention.

This is by far, the best meal I've ever had. Prior to my dining experience here, I never truly understood why chef's went to school for cooking a delicious meal. The pairing of flavors and textures here **chef's kiss** made it all clear to me.

We dined here a few weeks back, while we were staying at the Wood Lake Inn, Kohler. We had the vegetarian tasting menu. Food was tasty and unique. I did not particularly like the Risotto (I don't like cheese/cream to begin with - weird I know), but my spouse loved it.

Ambience was good, and service was good too. It was pretty pricey. I always question the $$$$ for a vegetarian meal, but at least everything tasted good.

They have ala-carte options too.

It was convenient that there was a shuttle service from the Inn to the American Club (where this restaurant is located), and was available even as late as 10:30 PM.

Great service. Amazing food. Probably one of the best restaurants in my opinion in the Midwest. We travel from Minnesota to visit the spa and the Immigrant as a special experience twice a year. Highly recommend them. Love love all the courses.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at The Carriage House and on our second evening enjoyed the five-course dinner at Immigrant Room- we both agreed it was the best meal we've ever had- together or apart! Mary Jo was our waitress and she was such a doll. She took care of us all night, from pairing our exact taste in wine to the meal we were about to enjoy, to checking-in on us regularly to make sure everything was tasting okay. It was such an intimate experience, tucked into the basement of The American Club. The menu was incredibly varied and each dish tasted so very unique- we loved every bite! While the dishes change on a regular basis, depending on what's in season, we would highly recommend the seared scallops, the lobster bisque, the 30-day aged tenderloin, and the quail eggs and pork belly. If you can, request to have Mary Jo as your waitress- she'll take great care of you.

My fiancé and I had an outstanding dinner here. The service was also outstanding. We like to share our dishes to maximize what we get to try, and were pleasantly surprised to find out that the tasting menu could be done in tandem with a la carte options. We were not disappointed with any of the courses, although the Japanese A-5 (that evening's special) was definitely our favorite --- I preferred The Immigrant's wagyu composition to Per Se's. The sommelier was also one of the best I have ever met. After just briefly describing the characteristics of wine we look for, he brought over three fantastic options which all fit comfortably into our budget. We opted for a 2009 Pape Clement --- yum! He also made adjustments to our tasting menu's pairings, intuiting our own preferences. Although expensive, I feel this was a great value restaurant. We would not hesitate to go back during our next Midwest visit.

The only truly 5 star restaurant in WI. Unbelievable food and service! Suit and tie required. Servers are helpful, formal, but never "stuffy" unlike other 5 stars. Huge wine and liquid offerings... wine guy comes to table and helps with selection. Wonderful "feel". Expensive, but worth every penny! Never too crowded. Go for that special occasion and enjoy every minute!
