This was such a great experience for my pup and I! The receptionist was so happy, uplifting and kind made it so easy to check in. I then had the most amazing tech she was so nice and friendly. Made conversation and also informed me on the next steps of the appointment she was awesome. After, another woman came in and she was so so sweet!!!! She showed me her fur babies and was so kind to Wilbur! Lastly I met the sweetest doctor. She was so nice and so smart. She explained possibilities of what can be the cause to certain issues with my pup and how I can go about fixing them! She also told me about why certain vaccines are important and how the illness could be contacted! This was such an amazing and easy experience for us! Thank you so much ladies!!

Dr. Greenland is AMAZING! Our vet experience with him has been the best of any veterinarian anywhere ever. He went over everything and took the extra time to explain everything in perfect detail. The rest of the staff at VCA Spanish River have also always been incredibly nice. We travel here from Hollywood and will definitely continue doing so!

We took our 5 1/2 year old American Bulldog to VCA to get neutered. We thought his prostate complications were from not being neutered. It ended up being bladder cancer that was inoperable. We had to make a decision that moment to take him home for a few possibly good months (most of them probably in pain) or send him to doggie heaven. It was the hardest decision we ever had to make. With that being said, everyone from the front end girls to the back team and the vet were outstanding. He explained the whole process with us and gave us our options. Everyone was beyond compassionate and made us comfortable until we said our good-byes. They definitely went above and beyond in giving us all the time we needed with our baby and helping us through this. This was our first time at VCA Spanish River and we are so grateful we found them. Even if it was our first and last visit. Thank you all for everything and you are just amazing!

Dr. Greenland and his staff are fantastic. He's taken care of my animals for years, and has been through two knee surgeries with our 100 pound dog. The staff definitely cares about your animals, knows who you are as soon as you walk in, and calls after you leave to check in on your fur babies. Dr. Greenland is amazing and takes time to explain in detail anything you need to know; you'll never feel rushed and you'll always feel like your animals are getting the best care. Highly recommend this office to anyone.

I have had a very positive experience with the VCA Animal Hospital, they take excellent care of my cats! Dr. Greenland is so kind, and takes the time to answer all my questions. The staff are very nice and obviously enjoy pets. We never have to wait long, and I appreciate that the office isn't overcrowded or crazy-busy; I feel like me and my pets are special clients there. They have also clearly told me what each service costs, and have made me feel comfortable choosing the less expensive options. Thank you for your care!!

The vet basically across the street from me where I was referred are very snippy on the phone and couldn't get me in when my dog was sick so I called VCA Spanish River and they could not have been more accommodating and nice to deal with. Glad the closer vet on Federal & Happy Valley was unfriendly and refused to see us. Doctor really spent good time with us checking my little girl out and explaining everything to me. Tech was super friendly and warm as was the front desk staff and manager as I left.

I have been going to VCA Spanish River for about two years and have nothing but great things to say. Everyone there is so kind and helpful! Dr. Greenland really takes the time to explain things and listen to your every concern. We recently moved to Hollywood but find it absolutely worth it making the drive up to receive quality care for our babies.

I was very happy with the quality of care that my pet Skylar received at VCA Spanish River. The vets and staff were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. They spent a considerable amount of time discussing the options available for treating and caring for my dog. They clearly explained my dog's test results in an understandable manner and addressed all of my concerns. They even relied on other vet specialists within the VCA family to gauge their opinions on the test results and treatment protocols to make sure that my dog was receiving the best possible care. I would highly recommend this hospital to all pet owners.

During this crazy COVOID-19 time, yesterday, we had to put our cat to sleep. I was very concerned that we would not be able to be there during the procedure, as other vet offices are not allowing anyone into offices - even for euthanasia, but the staff informed me that euthanasia is the only exception they were making for owners entering the facility.
VCA staff made us feel as good as a pet owner can feel in this sort of situation. There were safety precautions in place, of course, but we were able to say our final goodbyes appropriately. Dr. Greenland is the best vet, and truly cares for you, as an owner, and your pet.

Dr. Greenland is the most caring vet I've ever seen for my dogs, now dog. Like an old fashioned family doctor, he takes the time to talk to you and explain your pet's diagnosis.

Staff is also very pleasant and friendly.

I can't say enough good things about this place. From the moment you make your appointment to the moment you leave it is an easy and stress free experience. They almost always have same day appointments even if it's right before they close. Dr. Ley is now my favorite person. He is extremely thorough and calm and walks you through every step. I have a new puppy so I had a ton of questions that he didn't mind answering no matter how insignificant they may have been. He was also extremely helpful when my older dog got sick. I know that non profits are more appealing since they are cheaper, but Dr. Ley prints you out a price sheet before you agree to do anything that breaks down all of the costs. He also lets you know what your dog absolutely should have done and what is optional. They also send you a follow up text to make sure everything is okay once you get home. Love this place and all of the staff!

I have used Spanish River Animal Hospital for my animals care for many years. I recently had to make a difficult decision on one of my cats as she was getting very old and starting to suffer. I was fortunate that Dr Brian Young and Sherri were there with compassion and professionalism to ease the pain of a decision we sometimes have to make for a sick animal with senior endstage issues. The staff at Spanish River have helped to keep my animals healthy and happy for many years. They were very comforting in helping my cat to end her suffering and move on to a better place without added pain.

Our Molly (she's a 4 pound, 2 year old Morkie) had her first visit with Dr. Young at VCA Spanish River Animal Hospital in Boca Raton, FL, yesterday. The facility is very clean, welcoming and cheerful :) The staff was great and very caring and so wasn't Dr. Young - he is great! Molly (and I) felt comfortable right away. We are so happy with our new veterinary home, so close to home, for Molly!

The doctors and staff at this office are wonderful! Our difficult Boxer mix was his normal spazzy self and they were really great with him. He was particularly cranky with an ear infection, but they made him comfortable and he actually calmed down so his ear could be treated. The doctor seemed to care about Bruno's health and spent time doing a thorough exam. Results are all good! Happy that Bruno responded well to the doctor & his team.

I've been going to VCA Spanish River for about 5 years for my cats health needs. Dr. Greenland is a very compassionate man and will offer you the best sound advice he can for your pet. He has always given my cats the best heath care and he worked very hard to help take care of my foster cat when she came down with feline hepatic lipidosis. Anytime something changed with my foster he or his staff would contact me.

I'm not sure what these other people who have reviewed this facility are talking about but usually when people write ugly things about pricing or people being rude its because they're usually rude first and because they don't realize how expensive pet healthcare can be. VCA offers financing and they ask for a percentage of the treatment up front. Talia and Ashley in the front office will do what they can to help you out but you have to be willing to work with them too and not make ridiculous demands from them. As far as Dr. Greenland he has NEVER been rude to me in the 5 years I've been coming to him. So all I can assume is the same thing is that the other person got rude with him first or was making unrealistic demands concerning their pet. To the other person that says they saw an estimate of treatment costs prior to persuing treatment, YES they do give you that up front and they let YOU DECIDE what you choose to do for your pet. If you feel their costs are too expensive you can shop around with other vets offices but even if you find someone less expensive you can't guarantee quality care. Also yes, Dr. Greenland and Sherry his Vet Assistant, will explain everything to you concerning your pet in everyday terms. If he uses vet-speak then he will tell you exactly what the term means. There is no sense of being overwhelmed with technical terms when it comes to him. He is very thorough.

I love VCA Spanish River, Dr. Greenland, his Vet Assistant Sherry, and his office team. They're all WONDERFUL people.
