Himalayan Curry Kitchen

I found the perfect indian restaurant in Richmond Hill when I was craving Indian food. The dishes were served warm and quickly, and everything were tasty. I'm not a fan of spicy food, but the dishes weren't overly spicy, which I appreciated. My husband, who likes spicy food, was also satisfied. The staff was very friendly. During our first visit, we ordered a few dishes, but we noticed most people were enjoying the buffet. We plan to try the buffet on our next visit. The only downside was that the floor was quite slippery. The parking lot is spacious, and the place is clean. It was great experience.

We were looking for a place for dinner on Christmas eve, and this was one of the few open. we were not disappointed! The place was full, but the service was quick and the food delicious. My kids got hooked on the free papadums they brought out and finished them promptly. the server brought out another basket right away. Overall a great family experience.

Me and my spouse visited here for the first time tonight and it was fantastic! Lots of new flavor profiles and very nice staff. I had the butter chicken and he had the lamb Marsala. 10/10 would recommend.

Incredible menu, all of which tasted outstanding. Great service, very clean establishment, plenty of parking. Asked for mildly spicy, which was perfect. One and only complaint, and it's minor one - the main dishes came out almost immediately after the appetizer, I would have liked there to be a little time between the two. Still 5 stars all the way, though!

If you’re looking for authenticity of Indian cuisine, try this restaurant. This is by far my favorite restaurant in town. My family and I eat various items from the menu at least twice per week for the pass 2 years. Our favorites are House Special curry chicken, House Special curry lamb, butter chicken, chicken 65, Garlic Naan Bread, and let’s not leave out the Mango Lassi drink. The service is also phenomenal. The dining experience is amazing and also family/kid friendly. My children also love the food. I also had the chance of interacting with a few staff members. The staff is very professional and punctual. The food came out hot, fresh, and speedy. With my experience tonight, I have a new found respect for the manager. It’s not an easy task running a restaurant but he’s doing an amazing job. If you’re in town, check out this restaurant for lunch or dinner, takeout or dine in. Either way, you won’t be disappointed. Great job continuing to give our Community Authentic Indian Cuisine.

Was recommended this restaurant by some local residents. The food and service was excellent. This was my wife and I first time eating Indian Cuisine and we were thoroughly impressed with the flavor. The portion sizes were great. Waiter was friendly and very attentive. When we got to the restaurant, it was not too busy, then it started to fill up. I would go again.

This restaurant was FANTASTIC! The owner and two waiters were so genuinely nice. They all wanted to make certain I enjoyed what I ate. That being said, I didn't understand Vindaloo's "mild" was very hot for me. I got it with chicken. They asked me did I like it? I said, "Yes, it is spicy, but I like it." They brought me a yogurt mint sauce to cool it down. The owner got me the mild sauce. That should have been what I ordered, but I misunderstood. It was my mistake, not theirs. Yet, they were truly invested in whether I enjoyed it they kept coming and checking on me.

The owner discussed with me the menu, showing me what would be spicy or not for next time I come in to eat. I can assure you, there WILL BE a next time!

Order the Garlic Naan if you like garlic, it was wonderful.

Love eating whenever I get a chance. The taste is really authentic. The buffet was absolutely delicious and the decor was really nice.

Real decent food for the price. Wasn't as keen on the ground lamb dish but I did like the chicken curry and the vegetarian dishes. They had something else in there too maybe it was goat. I'd be back if I was ever in the area again.

This is one our favorite spots. Actually it's our only favorite spot. Always fresh, cooked using herbs and spices not seasoning. Also a very nice menu with vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian options. They will ask you how spicy you want your food. Note I said spicy not hot. Hot food has no favor, spicy food has spice to it with favor. Everything is always amazing perfect no matter what time you go. Check out their lunch buffet too.

Great place for Indian food. Can't to wrong with most dishes.

This place is a gem. It was my first time trying Indian Food. It was fresh and tasty. They sure know how to spice things up. The owners and servers were incredibly accommodating. It was busy but we got our refills and food on time.

27 July: we have been back 3 times since the initial review. Each time, trying different menu items. The food is always incredible and staff very friendly. Still a 5 star review.

First:The food is amazing. I had the Milk Chicken and Garlic Naan. My wife had the Chicken Korma. All of it was excellent. The service was spectacular. The server helped us decide which food was gluten-free He even gave us a side of rice to-go since we were bringing home some our chicken.

Sag paneer
Milk Tea.
Food was so good and service was awesome.

We visited Himalayan Curry kitchen during our visit to Savannah for dinner. We were greeted and asked to wait before the seats were available. Once seated we were served with complimentary papad and chutney. We ordered chicken nuggets and rice for the kids. For us we got Gobi Manchurian as appetiser and Goat curry with butter naan and tandoori roti. The food was delicious and tasted like home. We enjoyed our dinner.

Wow. What a wonderful restaurant. Just incredibly delicious and authentic Indian food. Imaginative, perfectly prepared, and superb quality ingredients. The flavors are intense and joyous. Raz -- the attentive and courteous manager -- and his knowledgeable and professional dining room staff took great care of us first-timers. We stopped here for dinner on our way south on I-95 -- and will look for excuses to come through Richmond Hill again just so we can eat here.

Stopped for the lunch buffet during a roadtrip on 95 (conveniently located a few minutes off the highway) and I must say we were all impressed by this small town Indian restaurant! Everything was fresh, well cooked (moist tandoori chicken in a buffet is rare!), delicious, and so popular that they were trying their best to keep up with demand! All the basics were done well and even though slightly Americanized for our Indian palette, we were more than satisfied by the flavor and freshness. Plus, all the servers kept checking every table, and they were all keeping up with the back-to-back seating of parties. Highly recommend, I can see why this place is so popular - not a table was empty for more than a few minutes during our Wednesday lunch buffet visit!

We just came upon this place by chance and boy were we in for a pleasant surprise!

The food is very delicious and service and is quick and friendly. The food was quite spicy even at “medium” levels but very flavorful and enjoyable.

Definitely recommend the Rogan Josh, the Manchow Soup and the Tikka Masala. The momos were fried (not steamed) but delicious anyway

Great Indian place! Stopped here on our way to Florida and had a great meal with great service. Employees were very attentive and the butter chicken, tikka masala, and samosas were delicious! Definitely worth a visit!
