5 Star lunch! This was our first visit and wow, this place has a sizable menu to chose breakfast or lunch from. Today we ordered regular size Three cheese Grilled Cheese, regular sized Chipotle Grilled Chicken sandwich and the large sized Beer Braised Brisket sandwich. All sandwiches are served with house-made lattice cut potato chips. We also ordered a side of German Potato Salad. They served each of us a fresh hush puppy to try and it was tasty with a lite kick of jalapeño at the end. They make their own bread in house which is tasty and soft. Everything is very flavorful.
The meats were very tasty and even though the chicken was spiced with chipotle it was not too spicy at all. They recommended the Beer Braised brisket and it did not disappoint. Very nice flavor and very moist and tender.
We met the owners who spent some time sharing the menu with us. The staff is nice and friendly. The small cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating.
We live about 45 minutes away and this is where Yelp brought us to on our visit to Longwood. The is definitely a great place to experience.

I love this place! The owners are some of the most hospitable group od people that I have met. Everything that I have tried from here is amazing . My favorite is the crunchy chicken sandwich which has kind of ruined have a chicken sandwich from other places. Things come out fresh and piping hot which is awesome. They also have great hush puppies. I'm definitely not one to ever like hush puppies but the ones here are great.

Great spot for a Good , Affordable, Lunch. Definitely unique food and you get Hush Puppies while in line. Lunch is about $20-23 for 2 people. The sandwiches are great and the chips are very unique. It feels very family owned unlike the typical chain restaurants. I would recommend highly.

I was recommended this place by a few people. I was around the area for lunch and decided to drop by. I was immediately greeted by a tasting, the person at the counter was super nice and explain the menu to us. I when for the crunch chicken it was pretty good I’ll be bringing my wife here for sure.

Great little sandwich shop in Longwood. Hot and fresh..must also try the hush puppies that are amazing. Waffle potato chips are spot on too! Crispy chicken, braised beef and cuban sandwiches are the top choices.

I been trying to stop in here since they opened and boy did they not disappoint. I entered Aj's and was greeted by Andy (owner) and daughter. She told me the favorites on the menu and gave us 2 hush puppies as a sample and they were delicious. Jalepeno and bacon hush puppies with a mild sauce A+. I ordered the brisket sandwich and the pork mojo sandwich. Both sandwiches were A+, very flavorful, bread was soft yet crispy. Being a former New Yorker myself I highly recommend Aj's and I will be back for sure. A+ food A+ service!

2nd visit:
Once again AJ's did not disappoint, I had the crispy chicken sandwich with a cup of chilie and the chicken sandwich BLT. Both sandwiches are flavorful, fresh and will leave you satisfied. Cup of chilie was also fresh, with a mild spice and plenty of meat inside. The staff is super friendly, welcoming and accommodating to all customers.

Had to post a review after I had the large crunchy chicken. The price is reasonable for a great lunch.

A friend of mine recommended it. I had the Cuban sandwich and I also had some of the jalapeno hush puppies. The sandwich was outstanding and the hush puppies were the first ones I have ever liked to my life. I highly recommend it and I will definitely be back. My friend had one of the breakfast bowls and said he has never had a bad meal there. Everything has always been outstanding.

Absolutely amazing flavors! I had the Chipotle chicken pressed sandwich. The black beans and the sauce and cheese and the WHOLE DARN SANDWICH! *actively drooling thinking about it* Also the fact that this is a family owned/family run shop. The service here is something to be modeled after. Andy, I loved this experience and will definitely return, VERY SOON.

Ordered the breakfast Torta sandwich and added bacon and it was delicious, everything tasted fresh and good proportions. Atmosphere was nice clean and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this spot.

So good!! Customer service AMAZING! We are visiting from Cali and definitely will be bragging to family back home. Cuban & MOJO pork bomb!

What a wonderful place. The staff is super friendly and helpful. This was my first time there and will definitely be back. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was delicious!!! My boyfriend had breakfast and my dad had the Cuban and they both loved theirs as well. I have a feeling that this is one of those places that does everything well.

BEST HOT SANDWICHES IN TOWN !!! I got a Cuban from them one of the best Cubans I have ever eaten.and the Smores brownie was good as well.

Ate here for the first time today with my son who has eaten here many times. He told me they have the best Cuban sandwich in town. He was correct. I grew up in Miami and I've never had a Cuban sandwich this good. Very nice place. Excellent food. (They let us sample a hush puppy with a spicy remoulade type sauce. Also delicious.) The owners came around to see how we were and introduce themselves. Very kind and friendly. It's also a bonus to support a small family owned business rather than the giant chain restaurants. I'll be back many times to be sure. Take my word for it and give them a try!

My Dad kept talking about this place and I finally tried it today. This was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The bread was amazing, chicken was perfectly grilled and the sauce/salsa was delicious. Not only was the food outstanding, but the staff and owner were so nice and even gave us a free jalapeno hush puppy. I can't wait to go back and try a breakfast sandwich.

I just tried this place for the first time because I have been having medical issues and medicated so my coworker ordered my lunch. I want to say I am impressed with the menu options due to the many options and varieties. They use nothing but high quality ingredients rich with nutrients so its refreshing to see a restaurant on the healthy side of things. The food is delicious, they use boars head meat and arugula greens and it was made to order fresh and delicious! I am a gourmet cook at home, cooking runs in my family and you can tell their establishment is also Family owned because they don't treat your order like another inconvenient number, they even wrote a thoughtful "Thank You" note on my food container, they got everything correct on the order and overall I had such a great experience that it made my day a little better so thanks for that! Highly recommend to anyone!

A friend brought me here for lunch last week, and wow, I'm impressed. Simple food done right by a tight nit family. You can tell it's a family run business, its warm and inviting, and the staff is super nice. Food was hot and fresh, and delivered quickly to the table. Those hush puppies! Yum!

Absolutely love it! I had never been until today. I got the grilled chicken BLT sandwich, it was delicious. The kind cashier, Sydney I believe was her name, offered me a hush puppy to try and OMG it was so good. Will be back again soon!

Our first time here was today and it was fabulous! Get the hush puppies. Amazing! We also got the crispy chicken sandwich and the cuban sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious. And the family greeted us and really catered to us. Such a great little family owned place and we will definitely be back!!!

Honestly love this place, I try to go at least once a week since they've open and make sure to tell everyone about how great their sandwiches are! The hush puppies are definitely tasty and different from other places and the sauce that goes with it is great. If you decide to go make sure you get their Crunchy chicken, I can't seem to get enough of it. The service is awesome because it's family owned so they try to remember your face and the owner always comes out to greet each person which I think is so refreshing. I would say if you are ever in Longwood give this place a try!
