McKay's Charlotte Hall

I hope this grocery store is always open. This McKay’s grocery store is a absolute treasure amongst grocery stores. They have GREAT friendly service, EXCELLENT hot foods , the Breakfast buffet bar is awesome, you can’t get REAL HOME COOKED breakfast foods like this at you local fast food joint, the price you pay for some combo meal at a fast food joint, you get REAL FRESH FOOD, and you can actually get full. More, better, and for less. Great salad bar, Great produce section, it’s just a really great grocery store. One that you don’t find anymore. GREAT PLACE

Absolutely LOVE this place! It's got that 'Mom n Pop' grocery feel. You can always find an employee if you need help with anything. They have a great selection. My husband and I especially like that we can shop for our alcohol while getting our groceries. The environment is very friendly and comfortable. You don't feel rushed and it hasn't been packed when I do my shopping which is pretty amazeballs!

McKay can always be defended on to have fresh fruits and vegetables. Meat quality varies by location but you can find pricing much better than larger chain stores. Plenty of parking with friendly and helpful staff.

SUPERB LOCAL FAMILY store which are a QUICKLY DISAPPEARING relic. (SO INCREDIBLY SORRY ya'll are going outta business!!) 🎂🍰 McKay's has/had some of the BEST pies & cakes around, particularly their Coconut Cake, made onsite! 😋

Such a sweet, country style grocery store. Unique set up and they sell wine and beer! One stop shop with unique selection that you can't find just anywhere... like alligator! Such a cool place.

A nice local grocery store. Feels very personal. They have a good selection of fresh produce and quality products. The hot bar makes great food if you need something in a pinch or just want a little extra. The seafood and deli staff is friendly and always willing to help.

Produce was fresh. I watched one of the produce handlers in action. Unlike some other grocery store handlers this individual actually placed the produced down rather than just dump the produce. Found what I wanted and check out time was quick.

I love this family owned small chain food store. My only issue is that it tends to be a bit more expensive. However, they have a good selection of produce and meat and also a gluten-free aisle. It's a great place to shop.

I drive a truck that delivers their groceries and just happened to eat lunch there after my delivery! Huge store and their deli is amazing! Had the salad bar and if you don't see it you don't need it! Very nice place!

Our family has been shopping here for over 30 years. It's cleaner and neater than Food Lion and has a Pharmacy and Liquor section that Food Lion does not have. If you actually want to get in and out of a grocery store without spending 20+ minutes in line in the afternoon come to McKay's!

I love McKay's. I've been a customer since my mother was pregnant with me. I had my wedding cake made there, I've gotten my prescriptions there since I was born...in fact they're probably sick of me, but I'll keep going as long as they'll have me!

Love the variety I see in this store but the cashiers could be friendlier. The few times I've gone since moving here over half of them have been pretty snippy. Then again I'm from the Midwest so maybe I'm asking too much. /shrug

I love this store I drive from Waldorf, MD just to shop here. I usually find everything that I am looking for.... There is a New McKay's that open up in Waldorf where the old shopper's use to be but that McKays just can not compare to this one.

McKays has the best seafood choices in Southern Maryland hands down. It’s more than a grocery store, they have items you don’t see everywhere. Different spices and during the holidays you will find something on the aisle that is unique and festive!

First time in this store. Was pleasantly surprised. Good salad bar and produce selection. Just like a big name grocery store but cheaper prices. I wish I could come here all the time.

McKay's in Mechanicsville Maryland is a very nice grocery store.It is kinda small but they have everything you need in there and it's very clean and well run. They make everyone wear a mask and are always cleaning. I drive 45 minutes out of my way just to shop there.

My favorite supermarket in St Mary's County. Store is very organized and surprisingly clean. Prepared food choices are excellent which includes a salad bar.

Great store. I love the customer service and the quality of the products and the food is very good. They also have a great loyalty program.

I use to live in Charlotte hall an McKays was where I would go to do our shopping. I stopped in there afew weeks ago an i just loved it, their prices are much better than these other grocery stores, i was telling my daughter I should go do my shopping there, she said ill go with you, its only like 15-20 min drive, but well worth it!! Love this store!!

I love McKays they have a lot of things that other Grocery stores just don't have. Only down side is that most of there stuff are marked up $2.00-$4.00 more than other stores.
