The Box Waldorf

My first time there was last week, I was greeted upon entry. Immediately, I love the variety and flow of their Humidor they have a lot of classics that I haven't seen in a while or that are hard to come by. The lounge and bar atmosphere was great from the music was nice and not too loud. It was also very relaxing and have a nice variety of seating whether you want to sit high bar stool style or low in a soft chair. ONLY THING I would maybe incorporate is a section of recliner style chairs. The customer service was awesome, and the waitresses were very helpful and attentive, even recommended some places to eat close by. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and will go again.

Great atmosphere, great people, great music, great drinks, great cigars on Grown n Sexy Fridays with DJ Dirty Rico...and most of all NO DRAMA....Staff is knowledgeable and very attentive to customers. I love this spot.

I'm not a cigar smoker so I was there with friends that frequent the Box Waldorf. It was a busy Friday night but somehow, our group of 5 got a table off to the side and for me, a few steps from the door (fresh air). Shout out to the bartender, servers and the guys in the humidifier or whatever you call the enclosed room with all the cigars. The guys were super-cool and explained to me the room because I didn't know why the door was shut and why I couldn't bring my drink in there. He was cool AF and after the 'tour', I was educated and won't bring in my drink next time! The place was an all-out vibe with a DJ playing hits that took me back. The crowd was old(er) heads, but no drama and super chill. I would hang there again but after about 9, 10, the room clears up and not many cigar smokers like when I arrived at 6-ish.

So I’ve been meaning to get over to the Tinderbox for a long time. I find finally made it the other day and I was not disappointed. The selection of cigars in the walk-in humidor is excellent and so are the prices. While you can probably find better prices online if you are searching for bulk orders of your favorite stick, when you want to try out a variety of sticks to find your next favorite, you can’t beat walking into a local establishment like this and grabbing a bunch of singles. They have great sales too, as I ended up getting an additional cigar for free with my purchase. If you love cigars and are looking for a great selection in the Southern MD area, there really is only one place to go.

I despise smoke, but my girlfriends insisted that I join for a Friday night chill session. It was Smoky, but I stayed and enjoyed the DJ & the live band 🔥 The pizza was amazing (chicken & onions). The staff was friendly. AND I learned that the owner is launching the first black owned cigars from the East Coast (Six). Get you some if you smoke and head over to give the place a try... It might be your cup of tea or brand of smoke🍹

Just moved here a few months ago and was disappointed at the low number of cigar shops. I walked into this place with low expectations and was definitely surprised. Their selection is pretty large, their prices are fair, the atmosphere is great, and the staff is extremely helpful and seem to be happy to assist with even the most novice questions. I haven't even used their lounge yet, but it looks nice and the people occupying it seem to be enjoying themselves every time I'm in there. Highly recommended for any cigar smoker of any level.

I moved away, however when I was in Laplata I used to frequent this shop a ton. The atmosphere is great, weekend and evenings here are amazing. During the day you can come grab a couch or chair and have a smoke. The workers here really do learn about the customers and will literally talk about anything. Great cigar shop.

Older crowd but that was welcome on our visit. Great HVAC system to clear out the smoke while you at the facility. You will still leave smelling like cigars though so beware. Great cigar price points and they also had some whiskey specials which made this a cool after dinner spot.

I am in love with this lounge. I was professionally greeted at the door, and the atmosphere was so tranquil. I enjoyed my Manhattan drink immensely. I will definitely be back.

Great place to enjoy a smoke and drink with friends. Well stocked walk in humidor and even live music on Fridays. Staff is friendy and knowledgeable. Lockers are also available. Comfortable seating includes leather sofas and many high top tables as well as a bar. Servers are pleasant and personable.
