I was only able to come on time before my Tater Tot passed away but they were nothing short of excellent.

The vet tech, Courtney, honestly has to be the sweetest human being that I've ever met. She went above and beyond to make sure that I had as much time with my little Tot after they passed. She did not hesitate to bring them back in the room after I had asked for them to be taken away and she was so comforting. She went above and beyond with TaterTot's foot print and was careful to choose some of the prettiest feathers for it. Thank you for going above and beyond to comfort me and make this sad experience bearable, I cannot thank you enough. 💕

After they passed, Dr. Kersting made a point to call me and pass on kind words.

If you have a bird, I would highly recommend them. If I ever have another bird, even though I live 30+minutes away I will 100% be coming here.

Dr. Kersting and his team are amazing. I went here with my pet chicken and they were able to quickly get her back on track. They have made sure all our questions and concerns were answered. Dr. Kersting has some of the best bed side manner I have ever seen. He really cares for every patient, big or small. Highly recommend anyone to come here and see them.

My daughter's hedgehog fell ill and I was able to get a same day appointment. The vet was kind and professional and weighed out our options with kindness and compassion. Our little guy passed away at home, and we were well informed and prepared by the vets office about what to expect in his final days.

This is a wonderful place. As a vet, I'm never pressured to do unnecessary things. The vet talks to and explains things to me. Super friendly and fun to talk to. The staff has always been very sweet to me and my birds. My birds LOVE to go here for boarding if I need to be out of town. The staff takes excellent care of them and tell me everything when I pick them up. They also encourage calling to check on the birds and will text pictures. The cost is very reasonable here as well. This is a really excellent office.

We live in Springfield, IL which hasn't had a bird vet for several decades, so we gone to Dr. Kersting for a number of years during which time he's treated our Catalina Macaw, Chip, and a couple of other birds. It's an excellent facility with great bird care and boarding service.

Every front desk assistant, technician, vet puts everything into every animal they see. Before covid they would give first timers a tour of the entire office, which I've never had a previous vet do. The vet technicians are quick but gentle if your bird needs to be toweled and are so sweet always baby talking my birds. The vets inform you of options like blood work but never force it on you, go over absolutely everything and answer any questions you have. I live an hour away from this office and the drive is 110% worth it to get the care my birds deserve.

I moved to the area for my work and will be relocating back home sometime next year. Dr Kersting and his team will be something I will miss the most about Missouri. Every time my bird was sick, they tried their best to accommodate the schedule to see my bird asap. Not just Dr Kersting provided best care for my bird, he also gave me many important information. Best part was when they would give me call few days after the visit just to check how my birds were doing. They certainly do empathize how pet owners feel about their pet and they appreciate when pet owners love and care about their pet.

Only veterinary lately that treats both birds and animals. I have a dog and two ducks that I bring to this shop. They were able to figure out what was going on with my pug, which another vet couldn't figure out. They are good and reasonable. Really like this place.

I live in Indiana and have no access to a vet clinic that can treat a bird. My Chicken was mauled by a dog and the staff was able to walk me through what to do without hesitation, they were patient and kind and my bird is on her path to recovery.

Dr. Kersting is lovely...so gentle but thorough and generous with his time.

This is the best veterinary clinic in the bi-state area. As a wildlife rehabilitator it can be very hard to find care for mother natures creatures. But Dr. Kersting and his staff have provided nothing but top notch support. Whether you have birds, dogs or any other sort of critter I cannot recommend them enough.

This place is amazing Dr Kersting and his staff were very caring and compassionate with my sun conure they went above and beyond with information and they gave me a tour of the facility and it was spotless! I highly recommend taking your bird to bird medicine and surgery for all your birds needs!
