Ma's Place

Our family ate here after a weekend on the lake & it was so delicious & the atmosphere was laid back & inviting. The lady who took our order and brought our food was so sweet. Oh, they have grits as a side and they were divine! It is difficult to find good grits in this state. We will be back!!

Food was good & we received plenty. It was late, but our server was wonderful. We all were satisfied with our food & ate it all!
Tenderloin dinner, Ruben & fried chicken were delicious, as we all shared a little of each item. Can recommend those at least! The tenderloin, chicken & mashed potatoes were my favorite things.
Slightly dated & worn interior might mislead some. Look past the style, the food was really good!

Savana is amazing as well as other staff! Awesome breakfast food!! Fresh,fast,and delicious!! Good spot for a family morning to start the day.

The restaurant had many awards on the wall but I didn't see one for The BEST OATMEAL. Jessica Dukes was great actually all of the servers.

Large portions. Biscuits & gravy excellent. Home fries top notch. Apple cinnamon pancake bigger than plate and husband said it was great and would have again. Friendly place.

Came in to have breakfast (part of the American Legion Legacy ride that weekend). Wonderful place for meals. Staff was warm and friendly, food hot and delicious, and the patrons (locals) were very friendly. Like going to grandma's for breakfast with the family

But today we found a Hidden gem at Ma's Place in Kimberling City, MO.

Hidden Gem in Kimberling City, MO just outside Branson! Bring your appetite, because the portions are huge. The food is cooked delicious. The staff is very friendly. Don’t forget dessert!

Wow. We stopped here on our way to Table Rock Lake. Based on the pictures of the menu, I figured they'd have food for everyone in our group. We were greeted by our waitress, Jenny, with a big smile and shown to our table. She was quick to get everyone their drinks while we looked over the menu. My mother in law got the Sloppy Joe, which was the special of the day, and she said it was great. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich and almost finished the whole thing - which is a lot compared to her normally eating half or less of her meal. My oldest son got the cheeseburger and said it was almost better than his favorite burger from a spot at home (shot out to Buck's in Venice, NE). My youngest got the chicken tenders and I got the fried chicken sandwich. I'm not sure what they're doing at Ma's with their chicken, but I hope they never change a thing. The breading was light but crunchy and the chicken was juicy. My youngest is quite the picky eater but he devoured his food. He wants to go back and try the fried chicken dinner. Jenny checked in multiple times during our meal to make sure drinks were topped off and to see if there was anything else she could do. She even got to talking about fishing with my kids, who were excited about hitting the lake for some fishing. This is a fantastic little greasy spoon spot and I hope we make it back sometime to try the breakfast.

Best beef brisket I have ever tasted and I have been around. They could also teach other restaurants how to make potato salad correctly (potatoes not to hard or soft)

This is a great place to go for breakfast! The omelette was large with lots of fillings. The eggs were done perfectly. Our server was attentive and friendly.

It is worth the drive just for the rolls and fried chicken! Delicious comfort food and friendly staff.

The waitress was perfect and the Biscuits and gravy some of the best I’ve ever had and that’s saying a lot!

Friendly staff and delicious food! All the food was tasty, but I especially liked their soft dinner rolls, bbq beans with pulled pork in them and sweet tea. We were so impressed that we returned the next morning for breakfast.

What a breakfast! Ma"s place definitely didn't disappoint! If you want great customer service and a good meal, eat here!

I enjoyed my food and I believe everyone else did. I got a Skillet Gravy thing and it was great. Their bacon is thick. I was a little sad to hear they were out of cinnamon rolls though.

I love little diners. The food waa amazing tasted like homemade. They served us whatever we wanted off the menu. No one was told that ia only served at breakfast etc..

Clean, friendly, home town feel. Had breakfast here the last day of our first visit to Kimberling City. All four in our party approved. We ordered standard breakfast fare and left stuffed! We couldn't even finish all our food, though we really wanted to. The place was busy but service was great. Sierra was our waitress, she was the best, great service, super friendly. A young man named Evan was bussing tables and helping with service. He was exceptional as well, so polite and attentive. And the desserts! We only got to look at them since we had a long drive home and we were too stuffed to try. But we will be back. Have to try dinner and dessert here next time we are in the area!
