Nice little aquarium. We showed up in time to see a dolphin refresher training. The dolphins were so cute! They have a lovely aviary where you have beautiful birds walking very close to you. The fish area is a very large tank with different viewing areas. Rays and sharks and colorful fish. There's a lovely petting tank where most of the denizens will come over to you and let you give them a pet. I thought Rays would be rough like a shark, but they are extremely soft! Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I'm very glad that I visited.

Had a very good time here. Not a super big aquarium, but they have just enough to see and enjoy. You can even do the dolphin encounter to interact, feed them and have them put a little show for you. There are a few other animals to see from birds and few more. Had a good time passing through.

We had so much fun seeing all the animals and walked by a few while they were getting treats from the employees which was really cool to watch. It wasn’t crowded at all and it was an amazing experience overall. Can’t wait to visit again🐬

Came today 2/27 for a little me time. I was impressed though not the biggest aquarium I have been to it certainly was quaint and well put together. I stopped first to Aquatic Wonders and a nice woman named Maureen had greeted me and asked me if I was ever there before. To which I politely stated no, and she proceeded to give me a quick 1 on 1 tour of the area and some of the aquatic life. She was so knowledgeable and friendly. I learned some new things I never knew before and was extremely grateful. Then I proceeded on throughout the exhibit and loved it all. Then went over to the Changing Tides which was a quick yet pretty exhibit area showing some sea life as well as land creatures (some frogs, snakes, and more!). The layout of the rest of the aquarium was mostly outside. I loved the otters they are so cute and got to see them eating. The aviary part was cool too! Also a volunteer that was working near the dolphin tank was so friendly and I am sorry I didn’t get her name but she was awesome. Also the staff working in the gift shop were phenomenal as well. Overall I was extremely happy with my visit, I spent about a good 2 1/2 hrs here worth it in my book.

We had the best time at the aquarium last weekend. We came from Mobile and got there right at opening. Loved the low crowds on Sunday and the staff was amazing. I would recommend bringing a hat or some sort of shade for the little ones. I didn’t realize there was so much outside and wasn’t prepared. Thankfully, the gift shop sells sunscreen if needed. We will definitely be back.

Incredible experience! We absolutely love the Mississippi Aquarium. This is our second year visiting the area on vacation and we made sure to come back to the aquarium. The outdoor atmosphere is fun and beautiful. One thing that I loved was that they have activities for the kids that keep them interested and engaged during the entire visit. They give each kid a punchcard that when they visit an animal, the kids can stick their card in a box and punch their card… thus sticking the memory for them! We also loved the new interactive fish tank where the kids can color their own Animal scan it to the interactive fish tank! It was so creative and the kids loved it.
We will absolutely be back, see you next April!

Great aquarium! They have dolphins, y'all! We got there at 2:30 and there was a scheduled feeding in the giant tank/ main attraction. Luna the white shark and the sea turtle were the stars and there was so much more to marvel at. We also saw a sloth, armadillo, parrot, and beavers. Small enough to do in a couple of hours but interesting enough to stay longer.

Parking is in the garage! Even though there are signs directing you to the garage, once you pull up there is no museum signage on the garage, but go on in because that's where you park to enter the museum.

Me and my husband have a great time. It was so amazing and so awesome! We are from Georgia and have been to the Georgia aquarium multiple times and honestly this is just like it without all the crowds.

The aquarium is smallish but was surprisingly uncrowded for a Saturday. The octopus was active, which was fascinating. I was delighted to see the sloth. The touch pond was larger than I anticipated. However, the highlight of the trip was the SeaTrek experience, which is WELL worth the extra money. This attraction will be the reason we return. You get an opportunity to hand feed the fish. The first person down spends the most time in the water. Please be cautious when changing out of your wetsuit in the changing room. The floors are MUCH too slick considering you are changing out of wet attire. I slipped twice but managed not to fall. Although, I did fall on the boardwalk leaving the dolphin/aviary area. It is uneven and, obviously, a fall hazard (signs are posted). I skinned my knee, but security called a medic so that I could clean the area and add a bandage. They informed me to let them know if I needed any other assistance. Also of note, they keep the caps to water/soda bottles and do not provide straws for the safety of the animals. Overall, this was a fantastic visit and I look forward to participating in the SeaTrek experience again.

My family and I were so pleasantly surprised at what a great aquarium this is. It's the best one I've ever seen. Everything is played out in a way that allows you to really get up close. We chose the penguin encounter and were fortunate enough to be the only ones scheduled for that time. The trainers are friendly and very knowledgeable, and next time, I would love to do the dolphin encounter. The actual aquarium is huge!! Everything is very clean and nicely showcased.

We try to visit an aquarium on just about every road trip. This was our first time in Gulfport. The aquarium was really nice! The outdoor exhibits were great, loved the dolphin tank. And walking through the tunnel through the aquarium was awesome! Highly recommend!

Beautifully designed aquarium, aviary and dolphin pool. Well-timed educational presentations by staff. Opportunities to view and touch rays with two fingers in touch pool.

It is a great display of aquatic life! Was very serene until we heard incessant screeching. Thought it was a screech monkey display until we caught up to the one child with the uncontrollable screeching! Was a bit unnerving.
Overall, it's an excellent aquarium!

This little aquarium is pretty good. It has dolphins, and aquatic touch area, two indoor aquariums and an outdoor one. It packs a lot in such a little space. The annual passes are worth it and they do events all the time there.

The outdoor area has fresh water fish and otters. There is a nice Avery outside too. The main indoor aquarium on the top floor has the aquatic petting area. You can do helmet dives and dolphin experiences here too.

The second building, newly opened has smaller critters like sea horses, octopus and there's even a drawing area for kids that scans and animates their drawing.

There's a parking garage attached or you can park across the street and take the new above Hwy 90 walkway.

We always have a great time when we go to the aquarium. Had my granddaughter with me who is three and she loved it. The staff were very friendly and super helpful.

Not a super big aquarium I agree, but the dolphin exhibit is really wonderful and so are the very large aquariums and the touch tank. I was pretty displeased that we spent so much money in the aquarium and they charge a full day price in the parking Even if you go over two hours by one minute, it’s the full day cost. That one part in particular may make me change my mind about going there.

Great place to take the family or just a little day time date. We loved how everything was separated into groups . They have inside and outside attractions. Even a little place to set and eat while u look .

I've been here twice now. First time I came here was in the summer and it was way too hot to really enjoy the outside exhibits, we spent about 2 hours here but mainly inside. I came back again in February to do the sea trek experience and OMG I loved it. My ears did start to hurt near the bottom of the ladder but the scuba diver helped me get through it and I was fine. From the kind lady at the ticket booth to the kind lady in the gift shop and everywhere in between, the staff was amazing. The scuba divers were awesome and the lady that went over the sea trek information with us was absolutely wonderful. There are more exhibits to see which was awesome. We were able to fully enjoy the freshwater exhibits outside this time. I loved petting the sea animals on the third floor. The staff have always been great to me. I lost my parking ticket thing so I ended up paying $11 for parking but I'm not mad about that because well, I lost my parking ticket lol. But even the lady at the gate offered to wait so I could search my car and I appreciated it.
I will definitely be back.
P.S. If anyone suffers chronic migraines and are sensitive to air pressure changes like me and are looking for feedback regarding the sea trek experience here it is. I personally was just fine in the helmet. I was worried about the pressure change (I get a migraine when a storm rolls through) but it did not trigger a migraine or headache of any kind. I know everyone is different but for the life of me I could not find any information anywhere. Even my neurologist gave me a "maybe." It's been 6 hours since I went under and my head feels fine. Just my personal experience. I'm glad I did not let the fear of migraine stop me from having this experience.
