Kathryn's Steakhouse and Seafood Restaurant

So this was my first time going to this restaurant. I read the reviews, and one of my former co-workers told me about this place, and I've had other people tell me this was a great place for good food as well as live music. So, I ended up taking my wife for her birthday, and she loved it. Now I will say that we did have to wait on our food, but when we did get it, everything was hot and fresh. Both my wife and I loved the wings that were on the appetizers menu. Another thing is you have to book a table early or get there early cause the place gets packed quickly. But I will definitely be going back.

What’s not to love about this place. They have wonderful food in a really pleasant atmosphere filled with people laughing, dancing, and enjoying music. The service staff is rather friendly and professional. It’s a great place to have an amazing date night or time out with friends!

I asked where to get a good steak on a Sunday evening, and a lot of folks pointed me in the direction of Kathryn's. We haven't been here since celebrating New Year 2020, not that it wasn't good, but my cravings always landed on their peak dinner hours. If you know Kathryn's this place is always hopping and lively, it's best to make reservations as they have limited seatings.

We LOVE their seared tuna steak app, but I'm trying to stay away from raw fish for obvious reasons (I'm 🤰🏻), so we started with the mushroom stuffed with crab dressing instead. As our entrée, we ordered the 16oz ribeye, had it topped with feta. I got the Redfish George, which is topped with succulent jumbo shrimp, crab meat, and sautéed mushrooms. Each entrée includes a side, we opted for the loaded mash potatoes, and I got the boiled tomato too-doo, we traded out our house salad for their soup of the day which was beef and vegetable. Everything included complimentary fried bread and butter.

This steak is just as amazing as we remembered it! Perfectly cooked medium rare, nicely seasoned (no kind of sauce or au jus needed) the tan line (sear) on it was so mouthwatering sexy 😆 We've never had one bad steak here, and whoever they have on that grill, they need to give them a grill master apron. I enjoyed my redfish, but yall, that tomato and deep fried bread is so good, I couldn't stop eating it. Our sweet server Angie even asked if my fish was cooked right because I barely touched it, it was, but man... that tomato was love at first bite all over again for me. My husband isn't a salad guy, or a soup guy, but he'd take soup over salad any day. He finished his soup and even said it was really good and hearty.

Our service was MORE than amazing. Angie was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and came by to check on us often. Fyi, check out their daily dinner specials, it's an awesome deal especially for their redfish plates!

Food quality and taste is amazing! Service exceptional! Shout out to Billy and Trenton. Live music and great atmosphere. Steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were yummy!

The food, and atmosphere were outstanding. The service was good but a litte slow. The server was super busy not her fault they needed more help.

So much love in this place. Oooo I felt just like family!!! The food come in highly qualified!!!

Enjoyed the whole evening. Love music by the Traveling Band. Excellent show! Food was delicious and the entertainment interacted with the crowd. Made it so much fun. Never disappointed when I dine here. Thank you guys. Will return.

Walked in to live music on a Sunday night, they have $17 prime ribs and red fish specials. Got there around 7:30, but didn't leave until 9:12pm. The food came out pretty fast, but wish staff could take our orders and deliver checks faster though. Over all it was great, and we'll be back! I'll make sure to order food and drinks at the same time, so we don't stay for more than an hour.

Great experience, typical Monday night and we had a good time. The server was prompt and offered us the daily special which was a half off prime rib. That prime rib was deliciously cooked and i couldn't have asked for more. The love music was getting ready to start when we left but looked like a great time.

I absolutely enjoyed the food. Haven’t had a ribeye this good in a while… not to mention their tasty sides!!! Definitely will be back …

So, many shrimp, big fat ones in our Alfredo.
This time, it was Tenderloin steaks and Jalapeño Potatoe soup. Fantastic! Live music was awesome..

From the outside it's a strip mall. On the inside it's absoluty astounding. The filet was cooked just how I ordered. Don't let the outside turn you away, Kathryn's is a must visit.

Very good and great wait staff. We just beat the crowd soon reasturant was packed.

We decided to return, over a year later, for a 'last meal' of sorts before a c-section. Kathryn's did not disappoint. The service, from the moment we walked in, was fantastic. We choice to sit on the quieter side, away from the live music, because it was my first night in almost a year without any toddlers dining with me, and I wanted conversation and silence. It was calm and pleasant on the other side. We started with the "wet fries" and the gravy is amazing. Cannot beat it. The salads were good and fresh as well, and the fried bread (fried pistolettes) is addictive.

Then came our food. The ribeye, my husband ordered. He said it was delicious and had leftovers, because it was huge. I ordered the filet medallions and they were melt in your mouth amazing. My husband enjoyed his twice baked potato, while I wasn't such a huge fan because of the bacon bits in it.

All in all, great atmosphere, service, and amazing food.

Sat in the bar. The bartender/server was so sweet, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Music was fantastic. Food was incredible. Had the scampi to tomato and gonocha (sp) a spinach dish with bacon! The combination of flavors was incredible! Will definitely be back!

Feels like an old fashioned supper club. Beef done perfectly. Generous and tasty sides. We drive from Vickburg to eat here.

Food was great. Fried dill pickles with some amazing ranch. Waiters are cool and nice as well.

Update: 7- Jul. We have been to kathryns just about every weekend since and quite a few week nights. The story below hasn't changed. Good food, good service, good crowd. I've gone through the menu and I recommend...everything

My wife and I visited for the first time, today. It's a Saturday and some friends recommended arriving early so we got there close to open time at 4PM. The service was attentive and plentiful. We were impressed with the menu options and the worst part was deciding what to try first. We had 2 appetizers, fried green tomatoes and the stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms had so much crab meat and the tomatoes were light and crispy with a great smokey comeback. I had a Pittsburg rare strip and my wife a mid well, bluecheese filet. The cook on both was as ordered and the flavor was on point. Good sides and salads as well. The place was quiet when arrived and slowly filled up from 4 to 6PM but the crowd in the space was pleasant and never overwhelming. We will absolutely go back and try the rest of the things on the menu we struggled not to order tonight.

Did I mention the service was incredible?!?! More please! 🙏
