Burkburnett / Wichita Falls KOA Journey

I called them the day-of, paid over the phone for the little basic cabin (sleeps 4, no bathroom), and they left the key out for us since we arrived at night. (Friendly service.) Folks at another cabin had started a fire in the community fire pit, so we roasted hot dogs and shared our s'mores. Restrooms were clean. Great little play area for the kids. Gas stations and a few fast food places are five minutes away.

Stayed here long term very quiet and peaceful atmosphere with a country feel. Well kept property. Dog Friendly. It was fair priced at the time but I hear the owner is trying to concrete the park to charge more. Hope it doesn't happen to the long termers

Campsites are well laid out with plenty of room. Grounds were well kept up, and facilities kept clean. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Came out for Labor Day weekend. The kids had a great time in the pool, the campground was very nice and well kept. Everyone we spoke to that worked there was very nice and friendly and helpful when we needed something. The location was fantastic and there is a lot to do in that area. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our quick overnight stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Bathrooms and showers were very nice and clean with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Site was very long and perfectly level with hookups lined up perfectly for our trailer. Easy access on and off the interstate, but no noise from the road. Internet was good. Pleasant surprise to get to see NATO forces training out of nearby Sheppard AFB.

They took us in last minute. I'm so grateful. Great KOA staff and amenities. Loved it. Note: the sunset was beautiful, but make sure to turn off outdoor lights at dusk, because many different bugs will join your party. Just an FYi, not a negative at all.

I got my mother set up in her new RV on July 4th, 2023. The staff was amazing, and took care of us! This is clean, beautiful area and we love how easy and quite it is. Everyone is helpful and a great salt water pool. I highly recommend this place for either a visit, vacation, or extended stay, great prices! Thank you KOA, ya'll rock!

We live here, but there are many visitors. Clean, safe, laundry facilities, bathrooms, convenient store for those little forgotten things. Super nice staff and always helpful. You can bring your own camper or they have cabins to rent. Pool in the summer months. Sweet little playground for the kiddos. Covered pavilion for small groups.

We loved our month here! The park is very well kept, super quiet & felt very safe. Lots of monthly sites & none of them were cluttered or run down. If we weren't leaving the area we would have stayed longer. Patricia is the park Manager & she was beyond helpful & very responsive to any questions we had. Will stay here again if ever in the area.

Nice facility, The pull throughs are long and level. We were on our way home from a long stay in Wyoming and Colorado and stayed connected to our rig for the one night stay. Would stay here again.

This is a very nice place for short or long term stays. Couldn’t ask for better staff. They’re very friendly and ensure that the amenities and grounds are cleaned daily. They also make sure that everything is in working order (which is huge). They really go above and beyond to take care of their guests. This KOA is conveniently located 35 minutes from Ft Sill and 15 minutes from Sheppard Air Force. It is a very military friendly place to stay. We will definitely stay here again.

Very nice location! The staff was above and beyond accommodating, nice laundry room, clean restrooms & Showers. Very nice parking pull thru with grass on both sides. Pet friendly! Will definitely be coming back super nice people working here.

Northwest Texas has a nice KOA with very friendly folks. We were there on Easter Sunday and was invited to a big potluck dinner in the community center. The park has all of the necessities to make camping comfortable. It's a very good stopover place.

I should give reviews to the campgrounds that stand by their policies with KOA. Kudos to this campground! I was planning a trip to see my son before he left to go to another AFB far away. When I found out I could only see him for 20 minutes I called all the campgrounds that I had reserved for my trip out and back. Thank you Burkburnett KOA for standing by the KOA policy that is stated on the KOA app! I did not mind paying you the $10 cancellation fee for the KOA “Kabin” even when I gave two weeks notice! I will definitely keep you on my favorite list for whenever I take that airman’s youngest siblings on our yearly month-long summer trips!!

We rented a cabin which was perfect for my husband, myself and our two dogs. Lots of room for the dogs to run and play out back. We stayed in cabin dk5. No problems at all. Lots of shade along with everything we needed for a couple of days. Only bad thing was there were a lot of stickers In the grass.

Very nice, clean and friendly park to stay in. We would stay there again and recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

Pretty with lots of trees. Very quiet! We had rainstorms overnight. Woke up to lots of puddles, some sights definitely need more rocks/pebbles to avoid slight flooding. Neat park for kids and pool with a slide!

So far so good. I think it would be great if one could rent or buy a grill,and purchase basic charcoal. The grills in the tent area were old,rusty and dirty. I also maybe see they could spray the the camp ground for mosquitoes and flies after each guest clear out. However it's really a great place. I will try again in the future.

New mgmt really keeps things updated. Planted more trees that aren't cottonwood! Keeps the grounds and pool in good order!

Travel Nurses here! Lived here for almost 5 months. Nice crushed stone sites, full hook ups, cable, laundry, and dog pen. Pool in the summer is great. They have made many improvements. Brand new bathrooms, and they are adding more full hook up sites. There are cabins, and tent sites as well. Very nice KOA off the highway, 15 mins to Wichita Falls. 👍🏼
