What a pleasant surprise. We were traveling and so hungry! We chose it over Cracker Barrel which is across the street. The interior is older but the food piping hot and everything we had was delicious. I asked a man at another table if he was from there and he said all the locals do. Good food and good price. The friend chicken was a hot item. Would stop again!

It was a quiet setting though there were a lot of people. Food was good and I would definitely tell everyone to go to Emma's

This is where the locals eat. You will notice that we all know each other. The food is great and atmosphere is like dining with family. Lots of history here. There is a Cracker Barrel right next door to filter out the travelers who don't know any better. Emma's is so much better and friendlier. It might be crowded, but that should be a clue that it is worth the effort.

Absolutely the best! Great in qualityriented food, hot, cooked just perfect, and many choices. Service, wonderful. The ladies were so sweet, checked on us a number of times, and never let us go without a drink or anything we needed. Atmosphere was wonderful. Family oriented, also many older single eaters. Prices are in line with others but much better food for the money. Can't get better.

If you want some home cooked food like grandma made...come to Emma's Family Restaurant! I made sure to sample everything on the buffet bar...thats' right BUFFET bar and it exceeded my expectations! Everything was fresh and just like grandma was cooking. These are pictures of the buffet bar: fried chicken, country fried steak (with gravy), macaroni & cheese, cabbage, mashed potatoes, potato salad, pinto beans, lima beans,etc... The best looking salad bar and for dessert: banana pudding, peach cobbler, chocolate Jello, strawberry on cake, German chocolate cake, etc. We went for lunch at it was only 9.99 for the food buffet! Yep..not a typo...if you leave hungry it's your own fault! Best bargain in Manchester and surrounding areas!

A bit difficult in a wheelchair to maneuver around to find a seat at a table. A gentleman saw my dilemma and offered to give me his seat at the end of the table row. I accepted, thankfully! The only problem then was my wheelchair stuck out a bit too far or something because people kept bumping into my chair. Also was getting those "you're not from around here are you" looks. Also, a man walked up behind me and was upset that I "took his green beans" when I scooped up a partial spoonful of the last of the beans. Honestly, if I knew he wanted them I wouldn't have got them. Most importantly, the food was good. Service was good except the server told me to go sit at end of the row near the windows but I couldn't get my wheelchair past seats of people. Later she made a comment that I traded seats and did refill my tea. Next time in the area will probably go back. I have recommend to others.

We stopped here on our road trip from Florida to Minnesota. We were going to stop at Cracker Barrel across the street from Emma's but the parking lot looked pretty full so we decided to stop in and check out Emma's and we are glad we did! It is not a fancy restaurant by any means but it was clean, friendly staff and amazing home cooked food! After eating at so many restaurant chains on the road this was such a welcome surprise. The food was so good! If we are ever making the drive again we would definitely stop there again even if it means going out of our way a bit.

Yummy home cooked lunch buffet. Can’t beat the speed of a buffet. All was excellent- fried chicken, greens, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, hamburger steak, peach cobbler and so much more. Sit at the liar’s table if you dare!

This is the absolute best family restaurant ever . It's 50 miles east of Nashville TN on Hwy 24 exit 110 . We made a special trip there to have lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed the buffet . It was full of delicious home cooked food .

Let me start out with I had past the restaurant for many years and said I was gonna stop in and have breakfast but usually opted for the Cracker Barrel across the street. I decided today I was gonna give Emma's a try. Emma's is a local restaurant (small town atmosphere but welcoming to travelers) I want to 1st acknowledge the young lady that was my server. She was welcoming, attentive and helpful in my selection of breakfast selections. She was on the spot to help keep my drink filled and checked in on me throughout my dining experience without being overwhelming. I selected the 2 egg breakfast with sausage , grits, home fries and country gravy, The meal was very good and most items were still warm. Eggs cooked perfectly , grits nice portion and warm, biscuits were excellent (fluffy and buttery) , home-fries and sausage were a lil cool but still good. The ice tea was excellent. I would say this is a 4.5 star for food and 5 star for service. My bill was reasonable ($11) for these days and the portions I received. I will be back again every time I'm in town.

A must visit for anyone looking for a down home buffet. Great price and atmosphere, I noticed my server got frustrated when she noticed I was gone to the buffet because she didn't know where I was sitting. Other than that, she was pleasant. $12-13 for buffet and water. Fried fish, mashed potatoes, corn and Mac and cheese was flavored right. Stop in and enjoy some great food and a friendly and country meal.

This is a real, small town, home cooking meat and three style Buffet... Go out of your way to eat here. Drive two hours, take a plan and rent a car. Try this food. I regularly drive from Nashville to get lunch.

An absolutely fantastic spot to stop when crossing the state. Lunch buffet was great. The fried chicken was to die for, and the gravy and cornbread are also excellent. Very attentive service and a nice quaint vibe. Would highly recommend.
