J&G Pizza and Steak House

This place is a little gym if you're in the area you must stop by and eat there I just happened to be passing through caught a glimpse of it stopped ordered my food the service was phenomenal the chicken gyro was amazing probably the best I've ever had the pizza was very good. The only thing I see they can do different is the hostess wasn't the most friendly person in the world and she stayed on her phone about the whole time that I was in there. That is the face of your company and you might find a different position for her.
I would drive an hour and a half just to eat there again !

It’s wonderful to be “surprised” when dining in an area you are unfamiliar with. I was in Manchester and stopped at J&G Pizza and Steak House for a quick bite. It was 2:30 pm and the place had several tables occupied and the entire time I was there it was a steady stream of folks. My server Natasha got me a water and Mr. Pibb (haven’t had one of those in FOREVER) and she highlighted the menu for me. Natasha informs me the menu may look Italian but the place is owned by folks from Greece…and many of the dishes reflect this. I saw pizzas and subs delivered to customers which looked good, so I went with a 10” pizza with sausage (they make the dough and sausage in-house) and the half-meal Greek style marinated grilled chicken with some pasta salad.

The pizza was different…the crust is very thin, crispy, and baked perfectly. The cheese, sauce, and sausage went well together…this is a solid and very good pizza. The sausage is not your “standard” Italian sausage…you could tell this was a richly flavored pork sausage and it was very well prepared. I liked they had a 10” so you could do a pizza as an appetizer and order a meal too. The chicken…seriously incredible!!! I don’t know what they marinated and seasoned the chicken with but I would drive the hour down here just to enjoy the chicken again!!! The pasta salad was very good too…perfectly Al dente and the vinaigrette was not overpowering. Overall this meal was outstanding and the service from Natasha first rate…I will come here again.

This place opened in the 1970’s and the décor may look like it needs updating but Natasha explained it and it made sense. All of the décor was hand cut/made to highlight the Greek heritage of the owners and the wood murals actually have meanings. Ask your server for a tour…LOL

Don't let the dated exterior sway you away! This restaurant has been here and run by the same family since 1972. It is super clean, staff is professional, and the food is amazing! The pizza is on crust made in house and has homemade sauce. The salad was wonderfully fresh! The dessert, well, just look at the picture! So glad we took this recommendation from the local we chatted with at the gas station!

We love j&g. We eat lunch here with my in laws anytime they are in town and often get takeout for lunch on the weekends. Regardless if your dining in or getting takeout, you’ll have the same great standard of food. Host and servers are always friendly.

The grilled chicken from J&G Pizza is about the best I have ever had. Whatever they marinade it in is unbelievable. All the food here is really good.

We absolutely love this place! We haven't been in a while, but everything was just as we remembered. Great tasting food, friendly service, and good prices for the portions.

First time here and we thought it was very good. The baked spaghetti portion was huge and my wife really liked the beer batter fish. We will go back the next time we are in town.

It ain’t much, but it’s ours. For almost half a century Lisa and Jim have brought some of the best service and food that can be offered! 1 of the few loves of mine in this town. Simply the best!

The goal was to find a Small Town Diner and we had the money on this. Drawn to it off the side of the road with its flashing lights J & G's Pizza and Steakhouse sounded pretty good. Once you walked in we were greeted by not only the service but also guess that we're leaving. Definitely a small Southern town feel. Once you walk in the decor and the interior design is something else. Almost out of a children's book the walls are decorated with what seems to be a Viking theme and definitely a pleasant surprise. Service and food was great. It seem to be a very popular local restaurant as locals were coming in and getting take out often throughout our visit . Great experience overall.

Excellent food and service! The portion size is good sized for the price. My server, Natosha on a scale of one to ten, was a fifteen! I go in just to eat and talk to her. She has my drink on the table before I can get seated! I can't say it enough, excellent food and service!

My wife and I went just to try it out. I had never been there but my had in the past. It was very busy so we had about a 20 minute wait. After we got a table the service was great. The food was cooked perfectly.

Meet up with family and had a great time here, the food was fantastic. I ordered fried mushrooms and hot wings, then for dinner the ribeye steak with a baked potato and steamed broccoli. The meal was perfect. The waitress was perfect. We all had a wonderful time.

This was our first time eating here. We really enjoyed our food. We will visit again soon.

Ihave been coming to J&Gs ever since I moved to TN in 95, and their food never disappoints. I really should change up my meal when I go, but their cheesecake & rice is my all time favorite go to meal.

J&G, as well as the Oak are the 2 best places in Manchester. I don't get to go to J&G much any more but I try to go atleast once every season, as a treat for myself

Great pizza and staff, we ha Natasha as our server and she was fantastic. I had the pork chops, grilled. They were so good. My new favorite.

I love the cheese steak sandwich I got mine with the spaghetti lunch and a snack perfect they went up on the price a little to high it will be awhile before I go back

Just found this lil gem of a
resturaunt. WOW great service prices were unbelievable, atmosphere awesome. Two thumbs up.
