I have worked in social services my entire life. The staff at this school are not able to communicate with parents about serious issues when they involve the students. My grandson has only been a student a few months. One day the school was on lock down. He was required to hide under the desk for over an hour. Not one person from the school informed parents. When my daughter called asking what happened she was told "It was handled" but no other information was given. Last Friday my eleven years old grandson was offered cocaine on campus. The police were called. I have not heard one word from school official. I am wondering if this school district would like to cover all financial and pysical aspect of raising our Grandson since they appear to believe informing parents of serious issues does not matter. How can we the parents and grandparents have the life lesson conversation needed if the school fails to contact the family.
