I have had good service from GEA/GLPS over the years, however, I had a traffic situation with one of the drivers. I reported it to GEA and the very helpful staff at GEA remedied the situation with the driver. The driver contacted me and apologized and his supervisor followed up with a call as well. They were very responsive to the unfortunate situation.

I was there 2 days ago to set up a new account, and Dawn helped me through the entire process.

I was excited to hear the news when GEA announced they were rolling out fiber internet. I've had fiber in office environments, but never in a residential setting. I had GEA Connect installed, so far so good! Impressive for a new rollout. I had an advanced technical request, and their support (someone local) helped me out right away.

For those that don't know, fiber internet is actually pretty special. Fast (both download and upload), low ping times and more reliable especially during the evening. A lot of larger cities in America still don't have fiber internet. GEA is setting up Greeneville to be a technology leader.

Their guys out in the field are a great group of caring and helpful people. Thank you!

We are new to the area and called ahead to find out what was needed to get our power turned out. The lady told us we'd need a state ID and our social security card.

Unfortunately, we didn't have our social security cards with us (they are 10 hours away in Illinois). The lady transferred me to Joy (who we were told could help us work out a different form of ID for the social security number proof). I left a message for Joy and we headed over to the office to get in line before closing time.

Joy called me back while we were waiting in line and let us know a tax return would work too. I thanked her and told her we were in the building and she came out and got us over to the counter right away and let the lady at the counter know that our tax return could serve as proof of social security number. Both Joy and the lady at the counter were sooooo friendly and so helpful! I can't praise them enough!

The lady at the counter even advised us to wait till the next morning to officially have the power turned on because we could avoid a $50 after hours charge that way. We thanked her for the insight and went with that option!

It was a really good experience from start to finish!

We've had several accounts with GLPS over the last 24 years. Their engineers will go the extra mile helping plan and establish new construction projects The office staff are extremely knowledgeable, always friendly, and seem to work hard fixing any issues you may have. On the rare occasion where we've had service or equipment problems, a field team has arrived to fix the problem within hours. We've had 24 years of great service. It's obviously a well managed and led outfit.
It appears most negative reviews are based on paying bills. I find that if you pay for what you consume, you avoid problems. Power in this region is relatively inexpensive. It's much more expensive in other parts of the country.

Power went out this morning and in less than 2 hours the crew had everything sorted out and back on. Don't know what the cause was but a couple of trucks and 4 guys and all was back to normal. Greatest light and power company I've ever run across. Great job guys.

A FANTASTIC business place! One of the BEST in Greeneville. We have lived here for quite a while now and have never had any problems with this business. Joy is super helpful, Thank you all for your kindness and always professional attitudes!

I don’t understand these reviews. I have found them to be very supportive, helpful and resourceful.
We had an outage last night and they were on it! Within 30 minutes our neighborhood was restored. Thank you GLP!

Excellent and very affordable service. Very little down time. Less than 30 mins for the year. Deposit was promptly posted as a credit after one year. Couldnt ask for any better service and are appreciative to all who work there.

I am grateful for this power company and everyone that works for it. They do a good job of keeping our power on and I just wanted to say thanks!

They came almost imediately to fix my outage and I live out in the county. Great service.

Excellent utility company. They do a great job of keeping our power on throughout stormy weather.

Sure it sucks having to pay your electric bill.. But the receptionists here are very friendly and helpfull
