Texas Sunrise

This is a great place for breakfast but I did 3 stars only becasue I was so hot I'm the place and the ceiling fan wasn't on. The ice water cooled me off and it helped. The banana walnut pancakes and so goodddd. Walnuts are in the pancakes and a banana is slices on top of it. Big portions too and we didn't wait long for our food to come. We ordered and I believe our food was out in about 10 minutes which completely left me surprised

I was jonesing for some breakfast this morning and Texas Sunrise did not disappoint.

I came on a Wednesday morning, few days after Christmas, around 11. The place was very busy but they got me in quickly. I’m guessing it is the owner who was navigating the incoming guests, he ran it like a drill sergeant.

Great menu of selections for breakfast and lunch. I opted for a mimosa and the Gulf Coast omelette with Shrimp and crab. So. Good. Served with home fries, choice of toast. Perfect with the salsa served. Eggs were light and fluffy, crab was fresh. Home fries had a nice crunch.

Decor is simple and unassuming. There are dollar bills on the ceiling and country decor around. I sat next to a sheet metal wall with magnets, that was fun.

Texas Sunrise is a block off the Main Street, I was lucky and found a parking spot down the street. Highly recommend for an outstanding breakfast.

I had the Papa Bear breakfast with biscuits and gravy with a shirt stack. We went early so there wasn't a wait or lack of service. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The gravy wasn't too thick. The pancakes were delicious. The only complaint was the coffee could have been stronger. We will be back.

Chicken fried steak is great. it large and flat with just enough batter. Then the banana 🍌 walnut pancakes will have you looking for a place to lay down. The Employees are great and your coffee cup will not get empty.

Breakfast tacos were tasty and generously topped with fresh, sliced avocado. Hash browns were a little heavy and too brown as a side. Fresh sliced tomatoes as a side were ripe and delicious. Hot sauce was thick, spicy, and fresh. Owner Chris was very accommodating and allowed us to do take-out because we did not want to turn off our car, as we had to jump it to get it started earlier that morning. They normally don’t do take out because they are so busy. A line to enter was forming by 8:30am. We did have to wait awhile to get our food but it was good and hot when we got it. So much so that it melted the Styrofoam container! They offer a 10% Veterans discount. They charge 3.5% if you pay with credit card. Breakfast tacos for 3 with 20% tip was $55 with no drinks—just tap water. I would return here and eat inside.

Everyone loved their meal. We had breakfast tacos, the Denver omelette and the 1/4 lb dungeness crab eggs benedict. They use the good quality canned dungeneess crab, the hollandaise was not packaged-expensive but at least worth the money. Portions were generous and service was excellent with multiple coffee refills.

We were put on a wait and were seated faster than the estimate given. They said as long as we answered the phone when they called, they would hold the table - so we were able to wander to some nearby shops while waiting. When we got seated, drink order was taken almost immediately. Once food was ordered it came out in about ten minutes and was hot and delicious. I had banana pancakes - soft, fluffy and hot! Very good. My wife had biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon. All of it was freaking perfect! We are just visiting but if I lived here, this would be a go-to breakfast stop!

Great place for a hearty breakfast off of Main Street. We all loved our choices. Highly recommend!

Our first time here and we enjoyed it a lot. Good atmosphere with great and I do mean Grrreat service. The food was better than decent. Fried steak a little over done and eggs a little under done. The pancakes and hash browns were amazing. Our server had a great sense of humor. Sorry about my shadow hands in the pictures.

Excelent restaurant for breakfast or lunch. It's located in the heart and soul of Fredericksburg, which makes it perfect. The food was delicious. Their customer service was great. We arrived 30 min before closing, and we're provided A+service. The prices are very reasonable,and you get a lot for food. This was the first time I didn't get to finish my burger, so big. The loaded potato soup was delicious. This has become my to go restaurant every time I visit Fredericksburg for lunch. You can park right across from it, and walk around after your meal.

I had the Huevos Rancheros and I must say, they were the best I ever had. I was blown away by the combination of flavors and textures along with the perfectly cooked eggs that were perched on top of the crispy tortillas drenched in rich flavorful sauce. The portion was generous, making it a good value for the price.
Overall, I highly recommend the Huevos Rancheros at this restaurant for anyone who loves breakfast with a Mexican flare. But also, I’m betting all of their breakfast dishes are delicious as well.

I wanted breakfast for lunch so we decided to try Texas Sunrise. They exceeded our expectations! The food is absolutely delicious! The staff is great and they all take care of the customers, not just one server per table. We will definitely stop here again when we make it back to Fredericksburg.

This is a great bite. Food cooked to order and arrived hot at the table. I had the Mama Bear and my niece had the Pancake Breakfast and both were delicious. Gina gabe stellar service. Will come back again

It was our second morning in Fredericksburg and we came across this restaurant. It did not disappoint. The biscuits & gravy were amazing and the pancakes (not pictured) were so good! Be prepared to wait as there was a long wait period but worth it.

Super cute place. Came here for breakfast 🥞. Had their banana walnut pancakes. Everything was delicious and fresh. Personnel was friendly and attentive. Coffee refreshed regularly. Would totally recommend to friends.

We enjoyed dining here so much for breakfast that we came back for lunch! Both the management and the staff were very friendly and helpful. This restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch and offers a wide variety of food to fit anyone’s tastes. The dining area was clean, and we felt very welcomed. This is a “must try” for anyone visiting Fredericksburg!

We visited in January, so this is LONG overdue. That being said, this place is absolutely phenomenal.

The staff was the most attentive and polite of any restaurant staff we'd encountered our entire trip. Some servers just know how often to check on you and how to keep your beverages full. She was just excellent.

Ok, the food: The menu choices are quite elevated considering the setting and atmosphere. The dishes are sophisticated choices, including things like crab meat toppers and avacado elegantly splayed across a carefully constructed omelet. The food was ridiculously delicious. I requested that my server specifically thank the cooks for such a delicious meal.

Don't be fooled by the non-assuming decor and the laid-back lunch-diner feel the place appears to offer. You are in for a true culinary experience. We went to much more expensive brunch places during our trip, and Texas Surise by far had the best food and the best service. 10 out of 10. We love this place. If you're staying in Fredericksburg and love good food, this place must be on your list.

We arrived at 1.30pm and were half expecting to be turned away with a "sorry, kitchens closed", like we have experienced in Australia. But no, a warm friendly welcome, full menu and prompt service.

Customers were still turning up at 2.05pm after the close time and being welcomed.

Food was delicious and we'll portioned and in my view, offers the best variety in Fredericksburg. We were made to feel very welcome and I highly recommend this restaurant. 🌯🥙🥗
