Carmella's an Italian Bistro

Started with a nice glass of wine and fresh hot bread with oil to dip it in. So good! Ordered the Chicken Parm and loved every bite of it. Such a great place to visit. I will be back!

Olive garden had nothing on this place. This is scratch made Italian perfection. Soft ravioli, mild but complex and steak cooked perfectly. Service is top notch but call ahead and make a reservation the day before, this place is popular.

The Alaskan Halibut just made my Top 5 Best Foods I've Ever Had list. Not only was the entree incredible, but Christy was an excellent server and made our group feel so welcomed and well taken care of. Thank you for an incredible dining experience!

Possibly the best food my family and I have ever had. Hands down the most amazing filet mignon. The service was fantastic. The food came out with enough time to eat but also never waited for the next course. Do yourself a favor and get the chocolate cake.

Update 2-28-24 again Carmella’s for the win. Waiter Frankie was great. Non-menu Appetizer - Napoleon was fabulous!
This time salmon and veal for entrees. AMAZINGLY GOOD! Chocolate Cake best ever!

Previously - Great food, great staff, looking to go back and try some more. Wednesday, 4pm Fried Calamari, Veal Francese with green beans over linguini, delicious lemon white wine sauce. Took home a cannoli- so good!

Carmella’s is a gem for amazing Italian food! The friendly staff adds a warm touch to the dining experience. I accidentally left my sunglasses, and the owner went above and beyond by offering to mail them to me in Minnesota. Don't miss out on their incredible bread, butter, and olive oil- a must-try!

Being our first time here, I do not think we realized it was a fancier atmosphere with typical reservations taken. Thankfully they had two open seats up at the bar which was perfectly ok with us! And even tho we were not "dressed up nice" we were still treated and served and taken care of without judgement! My fiance knew he wanted the chicken parmesan right away! He also ordered us both a bowl of the tomato bisque...🤤I had a difficult time deciding between two dishes. I asked our bartender/server and he suggested one of the two right away and I was soooo pleased with the pappardelle! The bread Service was so good that we ended up getting two orders of it too! Eating at this beautiful restaurant ( being an Italian girl myself...) This was the best and most authentic tasting Italian food that I have ever had in this area! I have craved this place everyday since going there and can not wait to go back! Next time with a reservation and maybe dressed up a bit more lol.

Honestly, my favorite "treat yourself" restaurant in the area!

My mother and I got the seared sea scallops appetizer to share, and the scallops were melt in your mouth delicious.

Her go-to meal is the chicken marsala, whereas mine is the pappardelle and both were so flavorful and cooked perfectly.

The food was excellent. The service was great. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and checked back just enough to make for a great experience. Definitely will go again.

What a delicious little Italian restaurant! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was SO good! The dishes were a nice size for the price and plated beautifully. Would definitely visit again!

A friend recommended Carmella's and being such a fan of Italian food my husband and I decided to make reservations and check it out. It was well worth the two hour drive. Their staff were welcoming, friendly and well knowledge of their winery's and dishes. Clean environment, and safety precautions in place. Food was absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere was great. I had the pappardelle with shrimp and the boulder creek lamb chop, both of this are a must try both are mouth watering. My husband and I absolutely enjoy our dining at Carmella's. We'll definitely be coming back.

We visited on a Wednesday night. We were seated promptly and the wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The ambiance is relaxed and welcoming. The food is amazing! The fresh bread they place on your table when you are seated is delicious! Highly recommend the fusilli if you are a shrimp fan. The portions are large so you can get a lunch out of your entree as well. The chai creme brulee was unreal. Sooo good! If it is the dessert for the day save room, order it! You won't be sorry! We will definitely be back!

My family and I had another fantastic dining experience at Carmella’s today! Food was outstanding as usual. I had chicken parmigiana & a side of mushroom risotto (my favorite item on their menu to date). Was so excited to dig into my plate that I forgot to take photos until dessert. 😝

Best Italian food we have around this surrounding area. Amazing staff members and host up front. I'm not sure if that's the owner or just a manager but it's really nice they check up on you as well as the waitress/waiter.

We stopped back in again tonight and they impressed us even more! The chef specially crafted my Fiancée's meal and he couldn't have been more satisfied! It made us feel so treasured at each member of the staff not only remembered us, but made a point to share a happy conversation! Thanks so much for an amazing dinner! Easily the best Italian restaurant in the area. Low lighting and a classy atmosphere paired extremely well with the excellent service. I didnt have to wait long to be seated and served at the bar and the food was phenomenal. Truly wonderful from salad to dessert. The ceasar was savory, salty, cheesy, and not overwhelmingly so. The spaghetti and meatballs were divine. The noodles were perfectly al dente. The sauce wasnt overly acidic or sweet, but bursting with flavor. The meatballs were savory and juicy and locally sourced too! Dessert was an interesting take on Tiramisu. I took it at the suggestion of my wonderful server Laura. One trip and I'm already salivating at the idea of going back again. If you want to take someone out for an excellent Italian meal or just treat yourself to some of the best cuisine Appleton has to offer then you owe it to yourself to come here.

We stopped in at Carmella's early on Saturday without reservations, and they were able to accommodate us with a small 2-person table in the bar area. The food was excellent and the service was very responsive.

I’ve been in Appleton, WI all week and this was the best dinner hands down. A bit on the costly side, but totally worth spending the companies money on a thank me dinner. Tiramisu to go; and it was delicious. Great job!!
