VFW Park

What a hidden Katy gem! Wild night-herons abound in this secluded, quiet sanctuary. I almost feel bad posting it publicly. Beautiful.

I love how shaded this park is, so many parks around the area have the sun just piercing down on you but the VFW park is an already established park with tons of big tree’s. A covered pavilion with picnic style tables are great for an afternoon lunch in the park, there’s enough tables and space for even a classroom of little ones. As you can see in the pictures my daughter loves to ride her bike on the paved trail around the playground. Definitely one of our favorite spots to hang out.

Nice park for a car show. Restroom on site. Museums to visit. Walkable to downtown Katy.

Find this park in off peak hours and you'll discover a quiet peaceful getaway. Children's play area is nice and not frayed and weathered. Grounds are kept very clean. I've rarely seen any big bugs or ants. Only the occasional mosquito, but that's it.

Used to take my child here quite often. Also, have recently used it for a quick photo shoot. The large trunked towering trees offer both shade and great background.

Enjoy this park, it is small but really great for workouts, family gathers, and just to relax 😌

Love love this place for my clients. Family photos are perfect here. Lots of trees and when the sun sets behind them it's beautiful.

Love this park. The kids have fun on the shady playground. Benches and tables are well placed to watch the kids from. There is a circular path around the area and a green space in the back which is great for exploring. Bathrooms are clean and there is a covered pavilion with plenty of picnic tables! The city hosts campouts here twice a year. I haven't been to one, but I hope to soon!

playground, bathrooms, trails, fenced in, huge covered concrete picnic benches (bonus during summer bc they stay cool so feels nice to sit on), but most importantly tons of giant oak trees providing tons of shade for the playground and most of the park honestly. how we have not found this b4 is beyond me but it's a real hidden gem.

This place is massive! Walking with lights cement trail around entire area. Serval benches and trash cans. Two separate covered areas with benches. Bathroom area that was kept up very nicely. There are a ton of birds that have made nest in the beautiful trees here, be aware of droppings.

I love this park. I attended a big picnic here and it was supper fun. Theres playground for kids theres shaded areas. There’s restrooms and water supply 👌🏽

Our favorite park in all of Katy! Usually empty (best kept secret). Playground with a walking track around it. Shaded. Restrooms and water fountains. Walk the track while the kids play.

My family visits this park a minimum of once per week. It's our favorite place because of the location being nestled away from any road, abundant tree coverage, great playground, and available public restrooms. It's really the ideal park for many.

Great playground, a lot of space to walk or bring a ball for a soccer or flag football game, big covered area with tables to have a pot luck or picnic

We were here for a birthday party. Plenty of seating for the kids. Swings, slides, a rope type jungle gym. My youngest was entertained the entire time. Not to mention it was really clean which is a bonus.

We came for a company party but the kids had alot of fun on the playground. Plenty of trees for shade, picnic tables and there are restrooms.

Great little park. Lots of shade, playground for the kids and the perfect place for a quiet walk. City of Katy has special events here regularly.

Great shady park that's not too crowded. It has a good playground, large covered area with tables for a large crowd, and bathrooms.

Good, clean, safe park for families. Well kept. Bring picnic lunch. No grills, BBQ pits which is okay. No chance of fires.
