I had a great time reconnecting with an old friend. I was glad he took me to this restaurant. It’s been in Austin for years and years he used to run his business out of there and it’s so nice dining at a restaurant that’s been around a while and not a new chain restaurant the weight staff was amazingand the food was great

I live this place. Not only do I love the fajitas, but another one that's my absolute favorite is the enchiladas swisas! The flan is also the best! But one thing I absolutely love is the staff and their service. I've been coming there for over fifteen years and love to call this a favorite haunt.

I had not been in awhile but I’m pleased to know Casa Maria is as wonderful as ever.

From the atmosphere, to the service, to the food, the patrons, AND (at least for me) the BAKERY!

They have Tex Mex for ppl like me who can’t handle much and they have more authentic Mexican dishes as well.

If you don’t know Spanish, the google translate app is super cool.

My mom rates Mexican Restaurants based on salsa & margaritas so they also got my Mom’s seal of approval 😁🤟🏼

&& Always get guac. 🥑 (it only lets me pick one “mealtime” so I said dinner bc we came in the evening. But after I filled up on chips, guac, and salsa, a breakfast plate caught my eye. I had the kids breakfast (I didn’t realize at first but I’m STOKED they still served it for me!! I LOVE BRINNER! 🤤) Thank y’all!
My parents had dinner. I also got a green bag of yummy sweets to go.

It was my first time here. We had a breakfast meeting. Our server was very attentive and courteous even though she was dealing with a crowd of 18. The tacos were delicious and the pan dulce from the Panaderia attached to the restaurant was delicious. I tried the empanadas de pina, 😋

I love this place. I had the pozole and it was EXCELLENT. Fresh crispy warm tortilla chips with a good salsa. The pastries are great. Comfortable large booth seating. Would be a great place to take about 6 people and enjoy the booth seating. The people are super nice. I will visit again!!!!

This is a secret gem of authentic Mexican food. Skip all the tourist traps and give Maria's a try. BEST SALSA IN AUSTIN! There is a bakery attached that will blow your mind.

My boyfriend and I have been eating here for about ten months now. Every time it's amazing, fresh, and always has been affordable. Perfect venue for large groups, families, or a date! Right next door is their in-house bakery where you can get some dessert after your meal. :) 10/10 experiences every single time! Now that they've got Toast to take payment, Casa Maria has a reward program too.

Another South Austin staple. I've eaten here countless times throughout the better part of 2 decades, and it never disappoints. This is always a go-to recommendation when I'm in the area. The food is great, staff is always welcoming and warm, and the bakery is on point.

As a restaurant, this place is great. But as a bakery, it's amazing. The tres leches cake was among the best I've ever had.

This place is awesome. The best places are always on the outside of cities. This was about 20 minutes out of Austin and where our hotel was. Yes, the bakery attached to it has incredible and delicious things that will add pounds to your waist. The restaurant had one server who spoke English but the service was still excellent, the food was amazing and we all felt full when we left.

Service at the restaurant was quick and friendly. The bakery also had an amazing selection and some beautiful heart shaped cookies for valentines day! Everything was priced appropriately and I loved that authenticity of the place. 100% recommend.

This restaurant shows a very eccentric scene. With its authentic Mexican staff the palatable Hispanic cuisine shows a very delicious mantra. This establishment has been open for decades and seems to be very jubilant and attracts a very lively crowd around the holidays. The mariachi trio on the weekends apparently seems to lighten the hearts of the customers.they’re very well known for there big red margaritas and have a happy hour for there house margaritas during the week from 3-7. This is a very family friendly environment and I highly recommend this atmosphere for people who enjoy a timid but intriguing vibe.

This place is old school as it comes. If you si eastside you remember Joe's Bakerey then you like it here. Breakfast is on point and service is great.

Such a clean awesome authentic Mexican place run by hard working folks, But again, for real it was super clean, and I mean no one enjoys to eat at a place that is dirty!

Casa María has been my go to place for my breakfast. Everyone knows that my favorite tacos are potato and eggs. Sometimes I’ll joking ask for one taco with potatoes & eggs and one taco with eggs & potato. Everyone always greets you with a smile.

I Iove the carne guisada tacos at casa Maria. I usually call my order in for pickup and they always have it ready by the time I arrive.

Update: this place is still so good!

Stopped here for breakfast as I had to wait before my next appointment at 10:00. Came in and was greeted and seated quickly with no problems. Staff was friendly and helpful. Ordered breakfast tacos and had bacon and egg and ham potato egg. both were very good and tasty and the sauce was excellent as well. Kept my coffee cup full and came around and checked on me regularly. Very nice place large lots of seating no problems at all Good service. I would recommend them at least for breakfast like I had. If I'm ever this way around lunch or dinner time then I'll probably stop and try them for that as well.
