Try one of the pies in brandy sauce! Yummy 😋 😋. We shared the cherry pie 🥧 in brandy sauce, but have also had the apple and peach. All are delicious! Their meals also hit the spot. Chicken fried chicken was moist and delicious. Full list of southern sides to choose from. You won't be disappointed.

Texan pie shop is my go-to pie place. There are so many flavors it is impossible to try them all. There is every kind of fruit pie, traditional pecan, pumpkin, etc., there are endless snicker, chocolate, peanut butter, strawberry cream cheese, etc. So MANY PIES. My favorite is turtle pie, to die for. The food is comfort food and the setting matches. Wheelchair accessible though it will be tighter navigation when crowded.

Loved my chicken fried steak! Had it with fried okra and Mac n cheese. We had the Elvis Pie: Oreo crust, chocolate layer with peanuts, bananas, peanut butter silk, and lots of whipped cream. Soooo good! Great service too.

This place is incredible. All the food is fresh and fantastic. And the desserts, the list is long and fabulous. We were too full to eat them there, so my wife and I each took two home with us.
Hint: have the Guy Pie.

Pies out the yin yang. This is the spot for birthday or holiday pies or if you are just craving a slice! We haven't had a bad one yet. KEY LIME, PEACH & BUTTERFINGER are our favorites!

Lunch was decent, dessert was even better! We had the chicken fried steak sandwich (wish gravy was incorporated into the sandwich over the mayo option) and the chicken fried chicken (big portion). As for pie, we got the coconut cream and the German chocolate ones to go (inhaled this when we got home)! Overall, we had a great time there. Even though our food left us desiring a bit more flavor, this could just be personal preference not growing up with these dishes, but was still great value for the amount of food you get. Our service was great and we would be back though to try some of the other dishes!

Great food! The desserts were delicious too! The Club sandwich was typical classic with turkey, ham and bacon on wheat bread, my partner had the chicken and dumplings which looked good, but could have been a little more generous serving. Onion rings were good, cornmeal base with a touch of heat. Would definitely go back!

We tried the Texan Cafe today for the first time during lunch rush. Awesome customer service. The fried green tomatoes were off the chain. The chicken fried chicken with mashes and carrots was delicious. We also had the blackberry cobbler with ice cream was very very good.

This place! The food, THE PIE, the music, staff, and the customers…all so good! One even offered me bite of their millionaire pie as I had never heard of it! Will definitely be back and highly recommend if you’re looking for the perfect small town cafe 🥧

Came here with the family to try their pies. We tried 7 flavors. Surprisingly their chocolate flavors were very good! I loved the chocolate toffee pie and their German chocolate pie. Both had amazing, creamy and accurate flavors based on their theme. All of their pies have flavors exactly as their name specifies. The apple pie here is also very good. Friendly staff as well. We appreciate their service!

Great food, we had appetizers that were great. I ordered the pork chop dinner it was cooked perfectly. Fantastic cobblers.
Huge pie selection! I highly recommend this restaurant.out waitress has great customer service skills. It was a party of six of us. She was on top of all of her tables needs.

Simply amazing - the food AND service! We all had the special chicken pot pie lunch, fried mushroom appetizer and don't forget the grilled pie with homemade ice cream! Can't wait to go back!

Texas Cafe a true gem! Our party had chicken fried steak, fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, sides of fried okra, salad, baked potatoes all delicious perfectly prepared. Vintage memorabilia highlights the history of Hutto, TX. Great variety of entrees and delights for dessert. Family friendly with excellent service.

The best local home cooked food in this small town. With their extensive menu there’s something for everyone! From southern favorites to seafood. They even have special in-house created dishes, and salad dressings. Don’t forget dessert! An array of pies and cakes displayed for all to see on the bakery side.

Really great homestyle food. Generous portions. My favorite is the fried mushrooms. We were a party of 7, 5 adults and 2 children. Everyone loved their food, the appetizers and dessert. Will definitely return when we visit again.

The meatloaf is awesome, especially since they don't add ketchup (sugary red sauce made to get kids to eat their vegetables or other healthy food) anyways, if you like a savory meatloaf and mashed potatoes, you've found it. I'd say it's one of the best around.

It always seems the hole in the wall off the beaten path family owned restaurants are the best. Texas Cafe and Pie is no exception. Right in downtown Hutto TX. The service was great. Menu is definitely comfort food with all your Texas favorites. My wife and I choose to split the Cobb Salad and Bone in Pork chops. Cobb salad is very big and the chicken on it is better than chick f la. Pork Chops had great seasoning. Once your stuff the have approx 25 different home made pies to choose from. I will saw we had Apple pie with brandy sauce. Without a doubt was the best apple pie I have ever tasted. I could have just eaten the crust and would have been happy but then top that with the perfectly cooked apples and I was in heaven. Liked this place so much I purchase a shirt. Will definitely be back as soon as we can get that way again from Houston.

Great little restaurant! Had a very quaint Texas charm about it, and the food and service were amazing. I had the chopped steak, and my husband had the chicken fried steak. The only problem was trying to figure out what kind of pie we wanted (I got the chocolate meringue, and he had the chocolate cherry, and both were delicious)!

If you’re looking for delicious and authentic comfort food with a smile, this is the place! Our waiter, Shellby, was wonderful. The food was delicious, and the macaroni and cheese tastes exactly like Luby’s, but better! The cobbler was warm and delicious! All around wonderful eatery!

Great food! Their fries and Mac and cheese are great! I also had the chicken fried steak. It was amazing! The apple pie was easily one of the best I've had. Highly recommend this place. Our waitress also said kids eat free Tuesdays. So that's the day to go!
