Coolest experience ever. Me and my girlfriend decided to go with the guided cave tour. We were the only people who showed up that day and essentially got a private cave tour. Our guide was fun, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to be around. Well worth the price!

Awesome! We were visiting from Michigan around New Years. We loved this self guided tour. We got there first thing when they opened. We were able to take our time and admire all of the beauty of the caves. It's definitely worth the stop, in our opinion.

These caverns and facilities are amazing. The drive to the facility itself is beautiful. Once you arrive, parking is free and you are easily able to start your tour. The tour is self guided, but there are many plaques offering details and information as well as pointing out key formations.

Once you complete your tour, there is a very nice gift shop with a small museum portion attached. The museum features things local to the site and caverns, such as fossils and bones.

All and all, very fairly priced and very fun. Should you go, be prepared with comfortable, good shoes, and clothing appropriate for the cool underground.

This place is off the beaten path....dirt roads lead you to a really beautiful place. The walk down into the cavern is nice but coming back up is a good dose of cardio. The rock formations are well lit for photos and walking. The gift shop was nice with many unique items. Well worth the trip...just follow the navigation. You won't be disappointed

Visited the cavern during a road trip to West Virginia. It's not huge compared to some other caverns but it is worth the visit. My 11yr old wasn't into it at first but before we finished the walking in part of the loop he started pointing out things to look at and taking his own pictures. There are signs in various places giving information about the formations and there's one formation you're allowed to touch. We did the 45 minute tour but want to go back for the 4 hour one to see more. I bought tickets online 30 minutes before arriving and had no trouble getting checked in. The staff was very friendly also. A couple came in after the last tour time and they agreed to stay late to let them tour since they'd been on the road for 5 hours. That’s service.

An extraordinarily large and amazing cavern. Worth visiting and exploring.
I only paid $12. You can have a tour guide or walk on your own. Nice gift shop also

Stopped by as it was on our way home, and since it was 88 degrees outside, we knew it would be a nice cool spot to stretch our legs. It is reasonably priced to tour on your own at your own pace- love that aspect. It was not crowded and we took our time in seeing all the different formations. Liked the informative signs throughout and it was about a one hour walk. Very well lit up and not too tight to fit through the rock areas. Great to see if you have an hour or longer if you want to checkout the gift store. Nice employees too.

I did the wild cave tour with Connor and I can't say enough positive remarks. Connor was knowledgeable and experienced in Spelunking. I also enjoyed learning about the history and science of the cave. The meal after the cave tour was a great way to hash out the day and just reflect. You also get a shower and it felt so nice to rinse off , after some fun times. I definitely would recommend this place to friends and family.

This place is a MUST in WV. Beautiful, informative and the cave is stunning! You can also get souvenirs and gifts. The gift shop is not only selling merchandise, it has a lot of info and pieces of geological interest.

A must see if you’re in the area, pictures don’t do it justice. Just seeing how far you are down in the one area is amazing! Lots of fun facts along the way, but it is a self guided tour (which I appreciate)! It is cold, and slick in areas.

Places amazing. The people are friendly, very clean, very excellent price. Price a small natural history museum included in the price of the cave. Very nice clean shop with a sorted offerings and the caverns were amazing. I would do it again in 26 days when I pick up my son,.. a lighted space relatively easy to walk through. Very informative. Very fun! Definitely will do it again. I've been to square boons and Indiana and Mammoth caves in Kentucky. This place was a gem.....

This was a completely awesome experience. The cabinet itself is large and fairly open, which really cuts down on the claustrophobic effect. It is self-guided tour so you have the time to stop and look around and really enjoy the experience.

Totally worth it. Drove 90 min out of the way to see this. Used a Groupon but normal price isn't bad at all. 45 min would have been fast walk thru. We spent 90 min at least, took great pictures and admired the wonder. Didn't feel 52° 👍
Highly suggest it.

It was cool and I'm talking in both ways. Went there on a steamy hot July day. Felt so good. Beautiful caverns. Friendly staff. Cute store dogs. Lots of souvenir shopping. Fairly easy walk when for seniors. Lots of handrails. Beautiful and educational. And cool!

We visited on a Saturday in early April around noon. There is a pretty long gravel road to get to the parking lot but as we were entering there was a worker fixing all the pot holes just after a large rain storm the day before. It was still overcast.

There were a lot of people here when we arrived. Over a dozen cars, which we were not expecting. There were also nice picnic table area outside with trash cans on the hill in front of the building as well as a llama enclosure adjacent to the parking lot. A lot of people wanted to see the llamas.

The store front itself was very large. They had all the souvenir stuff that you would expect. There were a lot of snack foods as well. In the back left corner there is a small exhibit of cool dinosaur bones and other relics to look at which was pretty cool. We spent about 10-15 mins looking around. The bathrooms were to the back right of the store. It had a interesting toilet arrangement to saw the least.

The tour entrance is located right in the middle directly adjacent to the front counter. Before you enter they give you a quite talk about what to do and what not to do and then you're off on your self guided tour. It was nice to do a self guided cave tour as I don't think I've ever done one before. We had just recently been to Mammoth Cave NP in Kentucky as well as Shenandoah Caverns. There are quite a few steps and where the steps end there is a area with a low ceiling and wet rocks. So be careful. All the interesting formations were labels and had signage so you just need to stop and read which worked for us.

For what we paid for it was a decent experience. We were told it would take about 45 mins to see everything. The pace my youngest 7 year old walked at I think we completed everything in 15-20 mins. I don't think we missed much and of course the trails are set up so you can go back and loop around if you wanted to see something again. There were quite a number of people down there with us. Everyone was pleasant and let others pass etc. I think the coolest thing was seeing the original entrance. Apparently it was like 12 stories up but it was so dark and just a light at the end of the tunnel it was hard to tell.

Not sure we would visit again but definitely worth the first visit. We also purchased a Groupon online which was a great deal as well. We probably wouldn't have know about this place otherwise. Great place to stop to take a break if you're traveling on route 64 for awhile.

Fun experience for families, couples, or solo. Explore caves, see animals, pan for gems. Gift shop on site. Can purchase ticket online in advance, or at the gift shop. Horses, llamas, goats.
