Absolutely delicious. The food was amazing. All the staff we interacted with were super friendly & courteous. Love the way the dining room is set up for a great atmosphere. Highly recommend the Fig & Wasp cocktail (with a 2 oz pour) & the Blue Crab Cakes. It's worth the trip for those two alone.

We ran across this town and restaurant on instagram and decided to check it out! It’s a nice Saturday afternoon destination with a couple other stores & a bakery to check out before dinner! Reservation are super easy to make through Google maps & we had no wait when we got there. We ate the pasta & salmon! Both were delicious! Then we got a slice of the coconut cake for dessert! Well worth checking out! There’s not a ton to do in the town, but around 2 hours before dinner makes for a nice day!

I went to The Waverly Local on a Sunday for brunch with my daughter. We enjoyed the live music and small town Southern ambiance. Before even eating, I had fallen in love with the place because they had done such a good job restoring the old building in which the restaurant is located. They respected it’s history while breathing new life into it.
My daughter and I sat at one of the massive booths. I love a spacious booth! Still the cozy feel, and nobody is going to spill out onto the floor.
On Sundays at The Waverly Local, they serve a breakfast buffet rather than a traditional menu. I recommend the potatoes. My daughter had the coconut cake for dessert, and I had some of the icing. It was rich, fluffy, and delicious!
The cocktails looked tempting, but I was driving. I’m sure I’ll eventually park myself outside on the patio at the vintage military truck bar for a few drinks though.
The service at the Waverly Local was fantastic, from the hostesses at the door to our waiter. Everyone was very friendly, and I am looking forward to returning and trying their typical menu fare.

The food is good for the most part. I've had something that was over salted and the steak portions are usually good, but I have been given a very small steak a couple visits ago. Cocktails are nice, and it seems that they make a good atte pt at stocking good beer selections.

We had a wonderful time at The Waverly Local. Drinks were good. I went with the drinks our server suggested and she did a great job. Our appetizers were good, salads were good, my husband's steak was delicious and service was on point! Although my entree didn't turn out quite like I expected it, our server went above and beyond to make it up to us. And the dessert was incredible! We can't wait to go back.

i have been here several times now- once for dinner and several other times for brunch. i have never had a bad experience. the food is absolutely exceptional and worth every penny, especially the brunch buffet. our servers have always been great too. i will be back!

Yum! Everything about this restaurant was fantastic. Great food, fun atmosphere, very clean and pleasant service.

Wow. What a great discovery. Just up the road from Auburn and keeping with the eclectic feel of small town Waverly. The setting is fun and welcoming. When we drove up it was evident the restaurant is not a secret. Good thing we had reservations. The Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Our waiter was attentive but didn't rush us. We told her we were there to take our time and relax which she responded. The food and presentation were fabulous. I had the blue crab cakes and my wife the pork both were delicious. We will be back.

Had the privilege to dine here with friends and family in June 2022. A lovely, cozy place on a VERY warm Southern evening. And it was a great way to discover some proper Southern cuisine! Love from Italy!

One word - AMAZING!!!!!! I am so glad we found this place. The atmosphere is perfect, the staff very engaging, and food was SO GOOD!!!!! Can't wait to go back!!

Wow! This place is off the beaten path but well worth the drive out of town. If you are anywhere near Auburn, AL it’s a must stop! It’s like a seen from Twilight Zone! One minute you’re driving through the country and then happen upon this amazing place, packed full of happy people. Caps and flannel or dinner jackets, it’s all appropriate! The atmosphere, service and food are outstanding!

The Waverly local did not disappoint nothing short of amazing. The spiced pecans for starters where great. I had the fresh grouper on a bed of fresh greens with seared potatoes it was outstanding. I will definitely make a trip from Birmingham again to eat this fine cuisine. The dry martini was excellent. The vegetarian salad I was told was great. The coconut cake was to die for.

Been here twice. Both times exceeded my expectations. Everything we have tried has been done to perfection. The Waverly Local has captured a perfect blend of gourmet southen food with a casual atmosphere in a quaint southern town. This is my new favorite.

My wife and I just had THE best meal ever! Everything was so good, and the service was phenomenal! Chef Christian and his staff are absolutely the best! We will be coming back soon and often. Best little hidden gem in Alabama!

My wife and I have been to many amazing restaurants, this place is easily in our top 3. As far as service goes, no one even comes close. In a word, the Local is Amazing!

Fantastic little place in Waverly. We had the pimento cheese and bacon wrapped Wickle okra. Mind blown. For dinner we had pork, lamb and shrimp and grits. Delicious. Wait staff also phenomenal. Would highly recommend.

Great food, service and ambiance. The chicken and steak are great as well as the okra app a one I love the coconut cake!

We ordered pork rinds, pimento cheese, Roasted chicken, mushroom pasta, crab cakes, salmon, coconut cake and drinks. Everything was incredible and the service was fantastic. We will definitely be back there and recommend it to others.

We loved it and had a great time last Friday evening! Beginning with our seating by a very personable and lovely hostess to our drink orders and delicious food. Our server was knowledgeable and quick to anticipate our needs. We had the Bacon-Wrapped Wickles which were outstanding and the Blue Crab Cakes which were amazing! We'll definitely go back!

The best in the business. Built to last. Consistently, the best restaurant in the Auburn/Opelika/Lake Martin area (and one of the best in the State of Alabama). Worth the drive.
