I LOVE training under my instructors Jackson and Dustan. Wing Chun has been a blessing for the past month. Not only am I learning how to protect myself and my family, I'm getting the exercise and dexterity I so greatly need. The appeal of an old school garage training makes me feel like I'm getting a very personal experience. You can tell the passion that they have for the art in every session. Wing Chun Boxing Academy is a wonderful place to learn. Sifu Dustin and Jackson Carrol are excellent. I called Sifu Carrol and explained that I was interested in becoming a student. He invited me to attend a class that day. Upon meeting Sifu Carrol and his son Jackson I told them that I had no previous martial arts experience. They assured me that was not going to be an issue. Sifu Carrol allowed me to participate in the class. I became a student that day. I have been attending class ever since. I’m very impressed with their knowledge, skills, teaching methods, and the time they spend with me to make sure I understand everything. Questions are encouraged. Answers are given and demonstrated. The students exhibit the same characteristics as the Sifus. All have taken the time to help me. If you are interested in self defense, wing chun in particular look no further than Wing Chun Boxing Academy.

I have studied many systems of martial arts in the past 50 years. No matter where I studied I always felt that something was missing. Through books and magazines I became aware of the arts I wanted to know more about. The deeper knowledge. What you can't get from videos or books, which are great study aids, but can't replace the experience of a real, knowledgeable instructor. Having recently moved to Huntsville I became aware of the Wing Chun Boxing Academy. This school claimed to teach both of the arts I have wanted further learning in, wing Chun and kali. After meeting the instructor and some of the students I knew that this is the school I was looking for all these years!! Mr. Carroll is well trained in many systems of martial art and applies that knowledge and understanding as he strives to pass this on to his students. Besides teaching martial arts, mr. Carroll is also a school teacher and has used his knowledge and experience in teaching to further benefit his student's, by teaching progressively. He knows what works plus how and why it works, as well as when it should be used. Each student works according to his or her own abilities. If you want no nonsense martial arts instruction you will not find a better place in the Huntsville area.

A spectacular place for anyone looking to learn how to protect yourself efficiently. Age does not matter, I've seen many different people of all shapes and sizes come to learn and seen all of them take many helpful lessons away from their first day. Not only do you learn a very efficient, practical art, but you also learn how to be a better person overall. People can receive serious training in a safe environment and you will learn more than you'd ever believe you could in just one class. If you've never studied a martial art before, that is okay! This martial arts school will teach you how to save your butt in a real altercation. Wing chun, as I have come to learn it, is the most practical martial art out there. I have seen females (beginners at that) quickly grasp the techniques and concepts and heard their stories about how training at Sifu Carroll's school saved their life! This is real self defense designed for people who are at a disadvantage in a fight, such as a smaller, weaker person. The students there are like family and welcomed me warmly when I was a newcomer. I drive over an hour to learn this awesome self defense system and it is worth every minute and dollar. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to protect themselves, regardless of age, size, or gender.

I was traveling from Ohio to New Orleans and happened to see that Sifu Carroll's school was opened and called to see if my friend and I could visit. We were welcomed with open arms and were made to feel very comfortable.
He allowed us to participate in his Wing Chün class...not just observe...which was very kind of him. We both learned a lot and thought he was very thorough in explanation of the techniques being taught and their possible applications. Bottom line, I was very impressed, as I have been involved in various martial arts over the past 30 years.

The Wing Chun Boxing Academy is the best Martial Arts school that I have ever been in. I have been in Martial Arts for most of my life and met SiFu Carroll in 2015 after a brief phone call. The moment I touched hands with him, He did not boast or brag but began educating me on my flaws from all of my previous training. The classes are well planned and every student who shows up gets something from the class from novice to the most senior student. SiFu Carroll does not just sit around but is constantly helping other students and will answer your question. If you ask the question you are given the answer. SiFu Carroll is also a devout Christian and does not use Christianity as a sells pitch as so many schools do. I could go on and on about my experiences with the school and SiFu Carroll. I travel from North Carolina to train in this school because of how it is operated.

Huntsville Wing Chun Boxing Academy is well organized, begins on time and ends on time. Sifu instructs on time management without students looking at a clock. There isn't a shot clock on defending yourself or your family. Sifu builds on defense as last resort, constantly communicating, extinguish conflict and work on building strong character. Training is held in a family environment and everyone is treated that way. Sifu is excellent teacher, constantly building and investing in leadership of all ages to strive for Intelligence, being Trustworthy, being Humane, having Courage, and being Stern. I have been in Wing Chun since 1978, have written for Wing Chun Illustrated, I have been a professional Muay Thai fighter in Thailand, have served in the US Army, been a law enforcement officer, etc. I can tell you that Sifu Carroll is truly a professional instructor of the highest caliber, deeply cares about teaching true self-defense and the wing chun system to those that truly want to learn. Many have passed through his doors. Only the dedicated stay and pay their dues through hard work and determination. It takes hard work to achieve true skill. Some leave when they find out that they can't learn self-defense in a day or two. It just does not work that way. Some leave after a few lessons to open their own schools and try to compete with him. Would you try to compete with your own Doctor after a few visits? Surely not. Being a professional instructor takes years of sacrifice, dedication and hard work. Look no further, Sifu Carroll is that instructor. He has also appeared in Wing Chun Illustrated several times. A local educator himself, a family man and a veteran of the US Army.

I have been learning under Dustin and Jackson Carrol for a little under a year now, and I can honestly say I couldn’t be happier with my experience, before I started martial arts and was reading up on it I read that having the right instructor in any martial art is the key to succeeding and it is more than apparent the amount of knowledge shared between them is extensive beyond belief and use the most practical methods and are willing to change their current methods if a better one is proven to them which is what every instructor should do and teaches a good life lesson as well. Also I do not feel as if they are withholding any information back from me which is one of the big things that scared me when looking for an instructor, but Mr. Dustin made it abundantly clear that if he withheld a single bit of information from me and I get into a life or death situation and don’t come out on top, that he would consider it his fault and also explained that if every instructor withholds a little bit of information, that eventually through generations an entire martial art can be watered down and this was all very great to hear and I fully believe it through their teachings. I would recommend anyone interested in learning martial arts to train there!

a smaller person to be able to defend against a stronger, larger attacker. It is extremely effective. You don't have to be a great athlete to learn wing chun. Especially under the instruction of Sifu Dustan Carroll. He creates an intelligent and enjoyable atmosphere for training. Been here for 2 1/2 years and loved every minute.

Sifu Carroll is indeed a Very skilled teacher and martial artist I really enjoy his class. This ain’t your mamma’s martial art, Sifu Carrol and Sifu Jack will teach you how to defend yourself. There is no such thing as a fair fight. Sometimes good people have to flip the switch and become ruthless to protect and defend themselves and their family. You will learn this here, Sifu Carroll is a very talented teacher and Martial artist. Wing Chun, Kali, and SEAMOK. You will be able to defend yourself upright and as well on the ground. Your goal when you go to the ground, is to take care of your ground attacker as quickly as possible. You arise kicking and punching on your way to your feet taking out and preparing. for other attackers, and kick their a$$.

The classes are great. Not only is the instruction good, but the instructors are personable & really care about your learning. They are quite intuitive, not only teaching to technique but also to personality traits & tendencies really challenging one to grow in both skill & self awareness. Really enjoy these classes & thankful to have the chance to surround myself with good instructors.
