Sea Sand Stars Science & Nature Center

We visited here while vacationing in nearby Gulf Shores. This place is such a hidden gem. The kids absolutely loved all the activities and the planetarium was very exciting for them. The center is located behind an elementary school which made it a bit difficult to find without knowing this. Admission was only $5.00 per person.

I've been twice with my kids. Once with their class and once with my whole family in the summer. It's a really cool little place. Very educational and the staff seems to genuinely enjoy what they do.

Great experience! Planetarium presentation was educational and fun. Address is wrong on Google. It’s 4900 S Wilson Ave, Orange Beach. It’s in the back of the OB Elementary school.

Very educational.

The biggest waste of funding! As a frequent visitor of this area, and alumni of one of the best colleges in this area/state for Marine Biology, why would you have a great educational facility in a resort area and keep it closed! Only Orange Beach students and local schools have access - and only during the school year. When you inquire, the staff/representatives are rude. Orange Beach schools, whom separated from Baldwin County- and need financial support could be bringing in great revenue, if they would educate themselves on tourism and donor funding.

Not open for the public anymore and nothing tells you that until you get here and ask a worker.
