The Gulf - Orange Beach

Service was fast. We got the shrimp taco's, cauliflower, guacamole with chips and the smoked tuna dip. It was all amazing. Everything tasted so fresh. Highly recommended and if in the area again will most definitely stop.

The view is gorgeous and the setting is so relaxing! Brenda was so kind and helpful. She recommended the fried grouper sandwich. I love grouper, but I have never had it fried. She told me to trust her and I am so glad I did! It was one of the best things I have ever eaten! And it was huge! I can not wait to go back again! Our experience at The Gulf was wonderful!

Food was pretty good and came out super fast, but the atmosphere makes the place. Such a chill vibe with amazing views. 10/10 would recommend. Take a book and a blanket and curl up on the outdoor sofa for a perfect post-lunch experience.

Lovely atmosphere!!!! The menu has so many options and the food is amazing. My wife had the red snapper BLT and it came with fries. We had 4 burgers and my little one had tenders. A couple things to note. Fries do not come with the burgers, and there are no cups of water. Only bottle water. For sale. Beautiful sunset. I want to give praise to amazing staff. Steven, the manager, really came through. If you look at the pictures I posted you will see that there was line to order food. I had already ordered and sat down and forgot to get drinks. Steven saw that I was trying to figure out how to get drinks and where to get them, so he asked if he could help me with anything. I told him I forgot about drinks, he told me I did not have to wait in line and I was able to skip the line and purchase a water. Great experience. Five star service, 10 star management. Thanks Steven.

The Gulf is one of my new favorites here on Orange Beach. If the weather is nice this is a great place to go. The food is delicious! The appetizers we ordered - fresh guacamole and chips and the smoked tuna dip with pita chips were fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the Tuna Poke bowl and the Grouper sandwich and the lobster shrimp roll were all delicious. The fish, fruit, and veggies were all fresh like just cut. Nothing was over sauced or heavy. For dessert , if the Creme Brulee cheesecake is on the menu, it's a must order! So delicious!
Service was good. You order pay and take a wifi sensor and they bring your food to you. The outdoor ambience is perfect! Lots of umbrellas for protection from the sun and sandy areas for kids to play in with all outdoor seating was perfect! You can watch the boats cruise in and out of the jetty. Added bonus. There's outdoor bars and a gift shop. Another clever thing is that they have about a dozen private bathrooms, which from the outside look like Porto potties but actually an individual private restrooms complete with toilet, sink and mirror and hand dryers, and decor in each one. Some are equipped with baby changing stations. Also noted that they had 4 or 5 charging stations for electric vehicles as well. We went around 3:30pm for a late lunch early supper and the timing was perfect, in between the crowds. We got enough food to cover lunch and dinner.

Awesome patio style entertainment area! Had the lobster roll and it was great wife had the blt fish sandwich and enjoyed it. Also got to watch the pirate ship troll us which was fun

We have been here many times, but this was the first time I ordered the Snapper BLT, and it was amazing!! Loved it, we got our order very quickly (10 in our group), and can’t wait to come back!

I’ve been here a number of times over the years and always enjoy our visit. The Gulf has a relaxed vibe with plenty of open seating options. There are seats at the bar, high top tables, picnic tables in the sand, couches - all with a beautiful view. Note that it is all outdoor seating. Music is always playing but never too loud to disrupt your conversations.

Food and drinks are always top notch. Not a large menu but a little something for everyone looking for seafood flare. My go to are the blackened shrimp tacos and a spicy blackberry jalapeño margarita. My only complaint is that I always want the margarita spicier!

We are Midwesterners and vacation in the area a few times a year. The Gulf is a place I will be recommending EVERY time! It’s easily one of the best restaurants in Orange Beach. The food was awesome and the atmosphere and view cannot be beat!

The customer service is absolutely top-notch, food is so amazingly good especially the fried coconut fish and shrimp hands down the BEST I've ever had, my husbands favorite is the Mahi Mahi tacos, you will not be disappointed with anything you order, and the atmosphere is the absolute best by far!

Great view! Delicious food! Amazing service! We were cold while having lunch and Cooper was quick to light the fire pit for us! What a great vibe!!! Cooper saved the day! Thanks for a great lunch!

We loved this place. Chill, amazing views, and so many seating options. You can be on the beach or near the patio. And the bartenders are amazing. They love what they do and it shows. Food was just okay, but we'd go back without hesitation. We were there late September and the weather and crowds were perfect, nice weather and enough people around for a nice ambiance. My guess is this place would be a madhouse over the summer. I think the place may be slow or even closed in January/February. Anyway, can't wait to return and spend full day there.

It was our first time to this establishment the food was delicious the staff was super friendly the view was beautiful I had the Mahi Mahi tacos it was more like 3 street tacos but perfect for my appetite and the wife had the gulf burger which was more then her appetite so I helped her eat some as well we will definitely visit this place again

Everything about The Gulf is fabulous! You will not be disappointed! Food is fun and delicious! I've never ordered anything that wasn't good. Great drinks from the bar with friendly bartenders. The atmosphere of the place is really what I love the most. Great place to hang out and watch the boats go by. If you are visiting this area, take some time and go relax at The Gulf!

I really liked the arrangement of this place. It’s very good truck style without the food truck. You go up to the window order your food and then they will bring it to whichever table you pick of the hundreds to choose from. The food was decent I wouldn’t say it was great but the entire experience makes up for it. I liked being able to sit and eat and watch the fishing boats come in from the morning fish. And also the pirate ship was a cool sight as well. You must come here on your next trip.

Awesome service and food. Drinks were great. Was a little cold when we were here(Jan). So they could use maybe 1 indoor section as its all outside seating. Atleast they had propane heat lamps.

I am grateful to live very close to The Gulf and have been frequenting this incredible Gulf-front restaurant since they first opened. Their service, menu, and unique coastal outdoor atmosphere have remained consistently top-notch, and they've only gotten better over time. With their expanded kitchen and bar options, fun boutique/gift shop, and direct waterfront casual seating choices (fire pit circles, umbrellas, big lovely tables for groups, cozy small tables for couples or friends), The Gulf is truly the best of Orange Beach. The views of Perdido Pass are inspiring and have to be seen to be believed. Oh, and they have held the "Best Fish Tacos" grand prize award in my heart for all these years, so be sure you try the mahi tacos when you are there next. They have fresh cilantro sprinkled over the top and the flavor just bursts! Thank you to The Gulf for being a breath of fresh air in Orange Beach!

Food was very fast considering how busy they were and the outdoor seating area cannot be beat. Lines for drinks were long, but just plan for that when visiting.

We absolutely love the atmosphere here! The specials are amazing, we love the tuna dip, and lobster & shrimp roll. Great for families and date nights. Jack was amazing at delivering our food and super sweet. We love recommending this spot to our guests and we will definitely be back!
