So much history packed into this historic building. We stayed for an hour but could have immersed ourselves all day in the preserved works of local and regional historical life and events. Eric thoughtfully considered our interests and guided us to artifacts we would enjoy most. Very glad we went and will definitely be back for more!

This was a delightful little outing with my family. The picturesque schoolhouse contains a wonderfully eclectic collection of locally donated artifacts and items spanning from a 500 year old dugout canoe to a washboard donated in 1994 when a local resident finally purchased a washer. My children were assured that everything was interactive and “touchable”…. except the taxidermy otter…he might bite! We were welcomed by the docent who enthusiastically shared information with us and allowed my son to ring the school bell! After perusing the somewhat quirky and fun museum, we went directly across the parking lot to try our hand at horseshoes under the shade trees.

What a wonderful, educational and delightful place to visit! We were greeted with a warm welcome from Eric Daily, museum guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered our questions with a smile. The museum is filled with so many interesting items, there is something for everyone and it is hands on! This museum is free, donations are accepted but not required. I highly recommend a visit to Orange Beach History Museum!

We stopped in on a whim because it was something FREE to do on our trip here, and it was better than some paid museums we’ve visited! The guide Eric was very knowledgeable and willing to share info on all of the items in there from sea creatures & wildlife, to the schoolhouse & local history, to WW2 artifacts. If you really take the time to stop and look, there is a lot to see in this little schoolhouse ☺

For a small, local museum, it's very informative, giving a great history of the surrounding area, going back many years.

This is a really special place with a ton of interesting history and antiques. Eric is super knowledgeable about the local history and more! I really enjoyed learning and talking with him and hearing his stories. I even got to take home a piece of Indian clay pottery and an arrowhead! Highly recommend. This is about an hour worth of your time and you will love it.

We loved this museum. While the museum was small, it had a lot of history from the area. We enjoyed chatting with the young man behind the counter. He was also very informative. We highly recommend going to this museum if you are in the Orange Beach area. We were there about an hour.

One of the most unique places my family has been in a long time. Very small building but has a lot of history. Eric was very knowledgeable about all of the orange 🍊 beach history and even let's you in on some of the secrets of his life. Definitely a go to stop when you come to Orange Beach, Al.

My friends and I visited this museum while on vacation in Orange Beach, and even though it is small, it is a very interesting place to stop. The young man who works there was extremely knowledgeable about every item in the place, and there were many "hands-on" displays, which I loved. The only thing that I could possibly take issue with is the name of the museum, as it is not strictly "Indian" and "Sea". There are so many other interesting items there, including textbooks and encyclopedias from the 1800s, antique typewriters and WWII memorabilia, just to name a few. This little place is a hidden gem, and I would highly recommend stopping by if you get a chance!

Nice little museum. If you would like to read about how Orange Beach became Orange Beach, then this is the place to go. Lots of newspaper articles, photos, shells, etc. They even have a small area to play horseshoes and swing by the parking area.

This place is worth a visit when you are in Orange Beach. It’s a locally run museum, that you are aloud to interact with the contents in the museum. Friendly staff that have great experience in museum.
