Wash House Restaurant

Our family of 3 enjoyed our dinner at the wash house. This is our second time dining here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We made a reservation at 7:15 and we sat immediately upon arrival. Our service was prompt and courteous. We ordered the wedge salad and Caesar to start, unfortunately they were out of the Caesar, not sure how that happens. The wedge and our entrees were delicious.

Went for our anniversary and was not disappointed. Really nice location, the property is part of the draw as it is well manicured and you get the feeling your in for a good time before you even get through the doors.

The lighting is dark and decor is dark wood and intimate.

We ordered the cobia tostadas for an appetizer and they were very tasty, fish cut in chunks well seasoned with fresh herbs and tomatoes.

The wife ordered the 8oz fillet(comes medium rare)and it came with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Asparagus was cooked so it still had some snap to them. She was very happy with whole meal.
I got the chateaubriand (cooked medium rare) same tasty asparagus and garlic mash but came with a sauce which complimented the meat very nicely.
Definitely a place to take some of your special guests. Great experience.

We have always enjoyed the food but would like to recognize the manager for his efforts last night. When we made our reservation a couple of weeks prior I requested a table in a particular area. Upon arrival, we were not seated anywhere near that location. The young lady who seated us disregarded our concern. We decided to leave things as they were and not disrupt our diner over the mistake. Within 5 minutes the manager confirmed that our reservation indicated the request and was overlooked by the Wash House. He immediately moved us to the requested area. We would like to thank him for the special effort to ensure our dining experience was great.

Our whole anniversary experience at the Wash House Restaurant was extraordinary! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a cheerful person who just so happened to be our server. She was fabulous throughout the entire meal. Unfortunately, I’m terrible at names, but she was a taller woman who had two daughters (1 & 7). She was phenomenal on telling us about desserts as she actually sold us on getting the Key Lime Bread Pudding. Exquisite!

One of my favorite parts was being greeted by the amazingly talented Toby Law! He and the rest of the chefs at Wash House Restaurant create the most delicious food! We got the Chateaubriand and the Pork Shank. Everything from the meat to the vegetables were magnificent.

Don’t forget about the beef roll appetizers and the desserts! I can’t recommend this place enough!

This place fires on all cylinders, as soon as you walk in you're hit with a feeling of home. The ambiance of this place is very down to earth, everything about our visit was awesome, the service, the food, this place just gets it right. From cocktail drinks which were delightful, she had a French 75 and I the Sazerac, down to the wine we had with our main dishes, she had the 8 oz filet Oscar style, and I had the grilled Halibut that was melt in your mouth like butter. And the deserts were just divine. I had the Key lime bread pudding and she had the creme brulee. Both equally good but if there was one thing the crust on the creme brulee could of been a bit thicker. This place needs to be on your list. Happy we got to try it and will be back

Omg, my husband took me here as a surprise diner and I loved it! They do have major issue with parking… but everything else was amazing!!! Drinks, food, service, atmosphere…. Everything!!!!

Wow, don't let the name or the unassuming appearance of the building fool you, this place serves some of the best meals in the gulf region. On a Tuesday night at 7:30 it was packed. The Chateaubriand was some of the best I've ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant but would suggest you make a reservation.

Excellent experience overall. From the servers to the food everything was awesome!

My date and I will definitely be back. The food was wonderful, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was phenomenal. Thanks Derrick and staff for making this night incredible for us.

My new favorite restaurant in Fairhope! I was skeptical about shrimp and grits, but I should not have been. BBQ shrimp was tasty and service prompt.

Very nice place, they do have some mayor issue with the parking lot but all together is amazing. Food delicious, service very attentive, great atmosphere!

It's such a treat when I have dinner at The Wash House in Point Clear. We head there for birthday dinners, date night, holiday dinners. Great atmosphere and their steaks are to die for! We alway run into friends at The Wash House. You can't go wrong with date night dinner. Very romantic!!!

Great charming restaurant for a lovely romantic evening or celebrating with family/friends. The food was chefs kiss! The service amazing..a great way for my husband and I to start out MiniMoon.

We got lucky. We didn’t know we had to make a reservation but someone just cancelled the 630pm slot so we were able to get seated! Ambiance was great and butter that comes with bread was heavenly and Entree (8oz Filet) melted in my mouth. We also tried Key Lime bread pudding, it was delicious, I tasted key Lime pie, kinda like cheese cake not so much bread pudding tho. It made our date night perfect. 💞

Fantastic legit local to the area food. Doesn't look like much from the outside but I would eat dinner here every night!! Trust me as they say.

The service was great and the food was even better. I had the black and blue salad with the potato soup that was to die for. Hubby got the shrimp in grits. Worth every cent spent. Great wine selection as well.

My wife and I started out with Gulf Crab Cakes and Oyster Lettuce Wraps as appetizers. Both were fantastic

My main course consisted of Grilled Lamb Chops, which included roasted parmesan fingerling potatoes, grilled broccolini, and himichurri sauce. My wife got the Chateaubriand, which she loved.

Our main courses were fabulous and paired very well with a bottle of Domaine Serene 2017 from Willamette, OR. The wine selection here is extensive, with plenty of options.

For desert, we shared the Godiva Chocolate Pecan Pie (which was to die for). We paired it with, what else, two little glasses of Godiva chocolate liqueur.

All told, our dining experience was very fun. The wait staff were attentive but casual, and the decor inside was kitschy in the best of ways. The outside is nondescript and understated as though one is stepping back in time, to a restaurant from decades past.

Wash House restaurant is located down by the bay on our favorite road, which runs all the way up to Fairhope's Municipal Pier Park.

We like to stop at other piers along the way, where we sit on benches out by the water, holding hands, and watching big fluffy clouds along the horizon.

The Wash House is a great option for visiting friends staying at The Grand Hotel, which is only a hop, skip and a jump away from Wash House Restaurant. Our friends from out of town like Wash House (and they are even pickier than we are). The area is up and coming, with lots of fun things to do, places to see, and shops for shopping in nearby Fairhope.

We just had the rehearsal dinner here, for my son and his bride, and it was the perfect venue! Fine dining in a relaxed, warm atmosphere was exactly right for our event. The food was amazing and Miles and the staff were so helpful and great to work with - I highly recommend!!! 😊

Fantastic food and good service. A good time had by all.

My husband and I LOVE this restaurant. Service was great and the restaurant had a lively atmosphere the Saturday night we went. We both ordered the wedge salad (amazing), the swordfish (also amazing) and the turtle cheesecake (absolutely fantastic).

The food was delivered to our table quickly, and it was challenging to eat it all. Well worth every penny spent! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
