Jackman's Fabrics

Been buying upholstery fabric at Jackman's Lindbergh since "forever". Drove there last week to get material for latest project, only to be told they no longer carried upholstery fabric at that site and I would have to go to Fairview Heights, IL. I was Beyond ticked off, but finally got the energy to make it across the river, through "Orange Cone Canyon" today. And WOW, was it WORTH IT! The store is VAST but well organized. I was actually too tired to Move, but I was greeted by store associate Kristie, a wonderful, knowledgeable young woman. I simply gave a vague description of what I wanted, and before I could say, "I need a chair...", she had several bolts lined up for my selection and I found exactly what I wanted. Great store, personnel and pricing. Considering sewing classes for my granddaughter and myself.

Miss Debbie is the bomb, so knowledgeable, very nice lady. She taught me so much in such a short time. Wonderful service

Staff is very friendly and always helpful. Kathy in sewing machines is great. Very knowledgeable and eager to help. Great teacher which is why I specifically went to Jackman’s in Fairview heights to buy my babylock multi-needle embroidery machine. Mary Suzanne was also extremely helpful and patient when I kept changing my mind on accessories. You can tell they love what they do as they always have smiles on their faces.

Many different fabrics and textures, drape fabrics, sewing machines, quilting machines, friendly knowledgeable people. Classes and sewing machine repair too! Great place.

Best fabric selection we could find around the St. Louis area. Reasonable prices too very well organized and the staff really cares.

I ran into Jackmann‘s today, and I was greeted by one of the warmest sales person there Patricia!! She has waited on me several times and her knowledge of her department is outstanding. As a designer sometimes I’m not sure what I’m looking for but she’s always willing to help me search for the right fabric!!

I love this store. The ladies are always very helpful. I was impressed with the owner because he went out of his way to make my husband feel comfortable while I was shopping! BUT , I truly appreciate their commitment to your success. I recently called the Fairview store right before closing, in a panic because my 6 needle just quit sewing. The ladies answering the phone quickly got me to the right person & he told me what to try to fix my machine. AND IT WORKED! He took the time to help me even though I had purchased the machine "used" from someone else! I can't thank you enough! I highly recommend this store!

This store is absolutely huge! It has a wide variety of fabrics, something for everyone. The prices are fantastic, I just happened to catch it during the Labor Day sale. Staff is very helpful and friendly. It was a very enjoyable experience. I would definitely go again and recommend it to all of my friends and family.

I live and work in Maryland Heights, MO and I was not able to visit the Fairview Heights store, but I did receive the best customer service I have ever experienced in my 18 years of shopping and buying products in the St Louis metro area. Katy was very helpful, professional and she went above and beyond to help me in my fabric shopping experience.

Jackman's is the place to go if you are looking for a huge selection coupled with great customer service. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable and it is very apparent why this family owned business has been in operation for 119 years. Would highly Recommend over similar chain stores.

I was recently at the St. Louis Jackman’s store for the first time. They were fine, not overly helpful. I then went to Fairview Heights Jackman’s, which is where I usually buy material, and I was instantly reminded of how personable and helpful those clerks are. They are fabulous!!! I’ve made 18 quilts and all my material has been bought at Jackman’s in Fairview Heights. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!!!

The staff were so pleasant and friendly. They greeted me right away and wanted to know how they could help me. They were not pushy with selling me a machine and were very patient showing me how the different machines worked. The selection of fabrics is out of this world and they have toys and encourage kids to play. Best experience!

This store has the most helpful, knowledgeable, and friendliest employees of any craft store I have ever been to.
Also, I have seen the same faces for years.

It is obvious that they only hire people who know what they are talking about.

If you have been there a few times, they remember your name, and you feel like you are visiting friends when you go in there.

Amazing experience...staff was very friendly and more then (may) I help you they actually assisted me in finding everything I needed...two women helped me but I only remember 1 of their names. Both were very nice, Mary was the 2nd to help me. I Will definitely be going back. Mary even took the time to show me so many things and even talked about the sewing classes you can take there. Well done Mary we need more associate like you.

The staff at the Illinois store are absolutely the MOST helpful and patient people! They say that once you purchase a machine there that you are family..they MEAN it. No question is too simple to ask (I've asked many) and they really take care of you. I only wish I could work less and spend more time taking the many classes offered during the week. You can't make a mistake shopping here or taking classes.

The staff is very helpful. I was probably asked if I needed assistance at least 4 times!! It's a well-stocked store, full of fabric, notions, ribbons and sewing machine parts. They also offer classes - I'm looking forward to my daughter being old enough to take one!

Susan was soo helpful! This was my first time attempting to reupholster our bed and she helped me with the whole process. Could not recommend her or this store more.

Super selection of fabric, notions, magazines, etc. The staff is always friendly and ready to lend a hand. Mike is the machine repair technician—he is awesome! I took my Janome in for service and told him I had a problem with skipped stitches when free motion quilting. He serviced my machine and called to explain why I was getting skipped stitches. Not enough tension on my FMQ foot! He is so nice and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely take my machine back to him for service.

Great place if you are into fabrics and stuff. They have a huge variety you can choose from. The staff are very nice and very helpful, giving great advises and suggestions, also from their own experience.
