Madame Zuzu’s

I was in Chicago for a conference and stayed an extra day to get over to Madame ZuZus for tea and plant based bites. As a lifelong Smashing Pumpkins & WPC fan, I have shopped online at ZuZus several times purchasing vinyl & teas. It was pretty cool to visit the spot in person. A trendy venue that had a little something for everyone. The tea was incredibly well prepared and there were several options. I enjoyed the grilled cheese & Chloe’s tomatoe soup and it was really good. The kitchen sink cookies were worth the whole detour to visit the shop! I took home some vinyl and really enjoyed looking through Billy’s vinyl vault collection. Super cool. The staff were kind and knowledgeable, but, took some time to acknowledge us once we came in and we didn’t really know what to do. That said it was lunch time and very likely that they were just busy. I would absolutely recommend tea lovers & pumpkin fans to plan a stop to ZuZus if you’re able or in the area. Oh! The Photo Booth was a really nice touch as well!

Breakfast sandwich was way better than I was expecting. That hot sauce it comes with is so good. Tea was also delicious. Plus Billy came in and was playing piano.

This place is really reasonable priced for Vegan food. Portions were good sized and things were very good. The teas were amazing. They also had live music at the time, which was really nice. Definitely will go againx definitely will and have been recommending.

Tea shop of my dreams…low key, friendly, wholly delicious. If I could take all the reasons I ❤ tea and make them into a place, this is it. I’d love it without the SP angle but that puts things on a whole other level ✨

Had a great time visiting! My boyfriend got to briefly meet Billy and we got some killer coffee. Loved the energy and decor in the space, staff was so kind and chill. Loved everything about our visit!

We had so much fun - My 2 brothers and I stopped in and had some wonderful food and celebration for WPC’s BDay! I painted a cool psychedelic guitar for his BDay with people signing the back - and they are all so nice! Highly recommend the Tea and organic food 🥘 ❤

Ok if you’re reading this you probably are checking out this review because of the owner… that’s all fine but as a Chicago native let’s set the record straight… this is actually one of the best cafés in the Chicagoland area. Good coffee, amazing tea selection, fresh local ingredients, reliable consistency and a good rotation of foods on the menu that reflect the diversity of its customers. It’s also innovative in that they try new vegan recipes regularly and are not afraid to kill off an old favorite for something new. Yeah you can go there for crystals, vinyl, rockstars or high speed 5g Wi-Fi… that’s all good but you’ll stay for the amazing staff, great cold brew/iced teas, and newest vegan concoction.

Really delicious food in a spacious and beautiful space. Very impressed by all the flavor in this plant based menu and the huge selection of teas.

Unique tea shop with a few eclectic shopping options. We didn't see Billy (except in a couple photos) but the Metropolis coffee selections were good and of course the tea was tasty and the pastries were a treat.

Never been a fan of Billy Corgan but my bestie is and I took him out to this spot and we both enjoyed our visit very much. It is interesting to see all the goodies they have . It's a huge space and a good place for a good Convo or a show. I ordered the creamy mushroom pasta which was zesty and excellent. Great choices of tea

Very nice place. The helpful staff answered all of our questions. The sweet foods were wonderful (don't let 'vegan' scare you from the desserts). I like that there's a performance space that showcases local artists. Fer instance? "The Smashing Pumpkins" are playing there; how cool! ;). Plenty of games, pictures, art, merchandise, people watching, WiFi, a long corridor to the bathroom, and plenty of parking. Oh, you can also sit outside (weather permitting)

Love this place. Plant based food with gluten free options. They have meals as well as sweets/pastries. Also a shop with an eclectic mix

I loved it! We went with My GenX Group and saw Billy. However, we left him alone. We came for the Sunday Musical Brunch. The music and good was on point. Some of us bought desserts to go.

"Today is the greatest..." but really! I finally made it to the new location!! I had visited the old Madame Zuzus and have been (im)patiently waiting for this one to open! I finally made it over there and it did NOT disappoint. Wonderful tea selection and delicious local fare. I went a bit overboard trying hot and cold teas. I also got some tea bags to go! Also tried the beautifully colorful avo toast and a tasty soup... I can't pronounce. To finish they were having a buy 2 pastries get 1 donut free deal. Which was a godsend because I was eyeing everything... I settled on the monster cookie, chocolate muffin and got the choco donut for FREE.99. We sat outside on an unseasonably warm autumn day and took it all in. So happy to frequent this new location and cannot wait to return!

Great experience. Southwest Creamy Mushroom Pasta was excellent! So are the cookies! Reasonable prices. (considering the rent!)

Enjoyed our visit. Good food and child friendly.

We got grilled cheese, Tomato soup, muffins and avocado toast. All was fantastic. I’m not a pure vegan but enjoy the food for environmental and health reasons. This place gave me a new reason to eat vegan: Because it tastes good!

Our kids got to read “Little Blue Truck” which they love since they sell books there. They also got to have a bit of freedom with the venue having a lot of open space.

It is excellent. Highly recommended. Love the atmosphere, the food, the service. Everybody there is great. Please go check this place out. If you already haven't, you will not regret it

Very nice "Insane Grill Cheese"! Super chill staff put up with my "is Billy on tour?" question (even though I'm sure he gets that fifty times a day). Billy: catch ya next time. Nice tiling job in the bathroom :D Your band was the anthem of my teenage years: was an honour to check our your place :) Still have to check out your new album! May you continue to inspire... umm, nah screw that: may you continue doing what you enjoy :)

A very cute cafe in highland park with tons of space and merchandise. Near the metra with lots of tables for working. Would recommend!
