Dr. Richard Terp

This is the first time I am writing a review for any medical care provider, and I am compelled to do so because Dr Terp and his team consistently provide far and beyond the best medical care I have ever received. After he was recommended to me I was skeptical considering how much they sang his praises. How quickly I changed my mind!

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The dental hygienists are wonderful. Dr Terp… where do I begin? He has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have been to in any capacity. He takes his time to explain what he is doing when conducting the exam, he is incredibly friendly and helpful, so much so that I honestly look forward to my appointments. I am about to move 30 minutes further away and I will still drive the extra distance to keep coming back.

Whenever I have to opportunity I recommend Dr Terp, with a level enthusiasm that probably comes off as strange until I hear back that people love this practice as much as I do. Clearly, I couldn’t recommend any higher!

Dr saw me on the same day when I called for an emergency appointment because of the pain I was in. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable, the staff were all pleasant and helpful and I was surprised but very impressed when Dr. Terp came out to the waiting area to introduce himself and let me know that I was in good hands. Within the first 10 minutes of being there they brought me be back, took x-rays and the dr was in explaining to me what my issue was and what my options were, and, most important, he did what was necessary to get me out of pain! To make it all even better a couple days later I received a welcome card from the dr and his staff! I am so overly happy that I found this dentist that I know will be the one and only dentist I will be going to from now on. Thank you Dr. Terp and staff for everything!

I’ve been going here for over 2 decades and Dr. Terp and his staff are always consummate professionals. I’ve never had a bad experience and the whole team is focused on your comfort and getting the work done right. Can’t find too many dental offices like this around anymore!

I have seen this dentist twice. It's the first time I have seen a dentist in 6 years, so I was really scared especially since I have disc displacement in my jaw and I can't open my mouth very much. The first time I went and told them about my jaw they were very considerate of the condition. They even got pictures done without causing my jaw much pain at all. The next time I went, I had a filling (in my very last molar) and they somehow got the filling done with minimal pain to my jaw as well. They gave me moments during the filling where I could rest my jaw so it doesn't lock up. I'm very impressed by this dentist and how well they can work considering my situation. The filling is also good. They are very kind and I would definitely recommend this dentist.

Best dentist! His staff is outstanding too. His office manager Kelly, could not be more helpful and accommodating. Marina is a great hygienist.
Dr. Terp not only is an expert, he is a straight shooter and will not perform work needlessly. I so appreciate him and his team. Heck, I drive in to Des Plaines from Algonquin. That's how much I value him.

Back in 2008, I was in the unfortunate position of having extreme pain. I learned I had four wisdom teeth needing to be removed. I had previously not taken proper care of my teeth and had no Doctor for regular treatment. I did a search and Dr. Terp was the nearest-and more importantly, available Dentist in the area. Fast forward to 2014 and now I have a wife, child and live an hour away from his office. I continue to seek out his service for my family squarely because he is of the up most professional, kind and candid and maybe most of all-has the best team on his staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

I haven’t been to the dentist in a while but I had to go since I was in horrible pain. Dr. Terp was quick to get me in on the same day and help me out. He explain to me what was the problem and cause of pain. Amazing dentist and staff. Will come again. I highly recommend coming here. Best dentist around!!👍🏽

Dr. Terp is wonderful ! A true meaning of what a family practice should be. He is very informative, helpful, and,nice! He is willing to help you make the best decision with major dental work and will refer you when there's a job he can't do to his best ability. He checked my,tooth and when he saw it was something that needed more work than he can do he gave me all the info i needed a long with a great referral and didn't even charge me to look at what was wrong and,to see,if,he would fix it. And xrays!!! I drove all,the way from Elgin to see him and wouldn't hesitate to,do,it again!! I think I,found my family's dentist for,life! Also *****((FYI he does free school dental check ups!! ))******

Is the best! Everyone is friendly and makes your visit comfortable and relaxed . Loann is a perfectionist when comes to cleaning your teeth, she is awesome!

He is fair and a great dentist. Good office hours and easy parking. Staff is very amicable and willing to help out with dental paperwork.
