Service: they never checked on us at least one time, like : do you need more water?
Is everything ok? More napkins? I seen other reviews mentioning same thing
Atmosphere: I guess this is their way, no complaints

I got to visit Dung Gia Restaurant with my cousin. Have to say the quality is unlike anywhere else. So, let me get into it! The food, oh the broth of the pho is one of the best I have ever tried. And I have traveled and had home cooked pho. The quality of the food in my opinion is the best I have tried. The service was really good. The waitress really helped my cousin and I and even offered up recommendations. I like it when the staff at a restaurant offer up Rec’s as they are a hidden resources. Atmosphere or ambiance like I call it, it was very laid back and causal. And the decor really made the experience even more worth it. Overall, I would recommend DGR to anyone who wants a great bowl of Pho and an excellent broth.

Cute little Vietnamese restaurant, runned by family I'd say. Started off with beef spring roll and pork eggroll, springroll with peanut sauce was so fresh and healthy! Eggroll very crispy with amazing taste. For entrees I had server help me out, I took Vermicelli rice noodle with beef, very healthy option, with lettuce marinated beef and plenty of noodles, also chicken soup is included. I also tried grilled eggplant which was great presentation and mixture of tastes. Huge recommendation to little neighbourhood place! Service was fast and helpful.

Good broth in their pho. Spring rolls are mid. Seems to be family ran so they’re a bit understaffed, so don’t expect fast service and just take your time.

I've had pho and banh mi all over the Chicagoland area and this is my favorite barring none! They have an expansive menu of stir fries, sandwiches, entrees, and pho. The BEST Vietnamese coffee!!! Go there, order ANYTHING, you won't be disappointed.

The Pho Broth was Hot, Aroma of Pho is just enough for the western taste bud. Though, traditionally I prefer a stronger, but.... The soup Broth was flavorful. The Filet mignon was awesome as well, yes... I can eat under one sitting. Fits my taste bud.

Great local restaurant. I got the bahn mi and my girlfriend got the pho! We were both highly satisfied with our choices and the fresh flavors!

I ordered Bun Rieu Tom Cua and my dad got the special Phở. Both were very good, especially since I don't see a lot of vietnamese restaurant offer the Bun Rieu Tom Cua. Their Sa tế is also very good.
The broth was tasty and there's so many shrimps and meat in each of our bowl.
The restaurant is neat and chilll. They played soft music matching well with the store vibe.

Great menu with lots of options. Good prices and a friendly staff. Will come back for more.

I recommend trying the Vietnamese Pancakes!

It has been a while since I visited a Vietnamese restaurant. The service was excellent, friendly staff. The food was somewhat different the what I was used to but it was very good. The seafood bowl was not as spicy as I would have like but very tasty, I little cilantro might have gone a long way (I'm partial to cilantro). Seemed like all their clientele were Vietnamese which speaks volumes for the quality of their food. If I return to the area I will definitely be returning.

A nice little place for pho and bahn mi. We had the pho this time. The broth tastes like it should, and it comes with the usual side of bean sprouts, chile slices, and cilantro. Generous portions for $10-$15 depending on the type you get. Is there better Pho in downtown Chicago or other major cities? Sure there is, but I'd come here any time.

What a gem! We enjoyed an array of delicious food, at very affordable prices. Great pho, a wonderful tofu/eggplant entree, served by an enthusiastic man with a radiant smile. I am delighted that they don't use disposable wooden chopsticks, which are such a waste. Their sturdy, re-usable chopsticks are refreshingly sustainable in a world filled with single-use stuff. Another reason I'm happy to eat here as often as I can!

I usually eat in and get their pho which is great. I ordered pickup this time and got the vermicelli noodles. They were fantastic too! Now its going to be a hard choice next time. Also, make sure to try their spring rolls (very fresh) and iced coffee! I love the fact that they are so close in downtown DP. The service is super friendly. Its definitely a laid back family run place.

I've been here twice and both times it's been a great time. I love Pho and their flavor is perfect. I've tried other appetizers so far I've like them all. The Vietnamese pancakes are something different and really good. The waiter is funny and very friendly. He adds the homey touch to this place.

Great food and staff! The atmosphere was very cool and getting to sit next to a fish tank was very fun for the kids.
