Grand River Brewery - Marshall

Very nice place. With their beer, wine, and hard liquor all in one place. We were lucky and patronized on a nice, late summer day and enjoyed the patio. We didn't have any food on this trip. The waitress was sweet and attentive. Definitely will come back on our next Marshall visit.

The staff was very friendly and helpful when picking out what to drink. Really enjoyed the experience. The new slider menu had delicious sliders, we enjoyed the pulled pork slider. We picked out some items to bring home with us and they wrapped them up and packaged them really well, the BBQ sauce and Maple syrup made it safely home on the plane.

Ok, so this place was added to our stops after learning about it. We had already eaten at Dark horse... but the food here sounds so good that I want to go back. They also have brunch. It has a nice look in a downtown building with big arches. It's also a distillery but it's all from their other location in Jackson. We tried the whiskey and agave. Both were smooth and $29 for a fifth. There is a kids menu.

We reserved the private room for 40 people. The room was bright and spacious with easy access. The service was top notch; everything came out quickly, hot and delicious! Our drinks were refilled in a timely fashion and the tables were kept clear! I highly recommend it for a gathering place!

We came in last night, my wife and I. We had a few of our friends with us last night and we were really excited to eat here. Our server came over and at first glance I was not sure if he was gonna be a good server. He was the only one with a hat on, and looked to have a mullet. We started by asking questions about the building and he answered every single one. He was extremally knowledgeable about the buildings history and the history it had with the city of Marshall. So we asked him what his favorite apps were, and he described them perfectly. So we gave the Cheese Curds a try along with the Frickles I think they were called. They tasted exactly how he described and were amazing. The entrees were good but not perfect, but that isn't his fault. He gave amazing service, got us refills on soft drinks as soon as we hit halfway, and then asked us if we wanted another beer in a few minutes once those hit halfway. I do not know if I've had service that good in a very long time. Kudos to that kid. We will definitely come back and see him again. He is now our favorite server and we are coming back in soon just to get him name.

We came back on Valentines day and got Tyler again (per our request). He recommended the mushrooms and the Bacon wrapped fillet. Not a fan of mushrooms so we passed. However we did get the fillet. That needs to be a permanent item, and Tyler needs a raise or something. He is so knowledgeable when it comes to the menu!!! Great experience again.

Came in for Valentine's Day with my husband. We had a wonderful meal recommended by our server, Tyler, of filet and stuffed mushrooms. He also told us about some of his other favorites. It was a wonderful experience!

Our steaks were somewhere between med rare and med. Snow peas and asparagus was perfectly done. And the rice and beans may have been the best I've ever had. $50 dinner, worth every penny. Service was excellent.

Awesome burgers, beautiful historic building, very nice people. A bit spendy but worth it. Pretty quiet in the early Spring (we preferred it to the opposite vibe at Dark Horse). And they actually have something other than beer to drink. Even the bathroom was cool! Go there!

Everything is delicious! The food is so fresh. My first order online didn't go through, so I called to see if they had it. They were quick and professional. Getting it taken care of.

Incredible service, food top-notch, atmosphere was nice and comfortable! We started with poutine (WoW!!!), then had the fish swammy with mac-n-cheese (holy cow to die for); and a grand bacon jam burger with grilled asparagus! Quality food! Highly recommend! Plan on spending $50 without drinks.

This is a neat distillery / brewery in Marshall, Michigan. The bar tender was great and her recommendations were good. We had the Rueben fritters and they are excellent. My wife had a spring fling old fashion. (Made with lavender honey) It was excellent.

Best bartender around! Every time I stop there Lindsay is always top notch. The food is great the company is great at the bar and the building is spectacular. It definitely has that 1900's feel and I love it! Keep up the great work.

Had an amazing meal. Tipsy elephant was surprisingly smooth. Steak had a unique smokiness to it that was unexpected but quite good once I appreciated it for what it was (rather than what I expected)

Wow, the breakfast burrito is hands down the best I've ever had. I substituted the pork for chorizo and I highly reccomend doing so. It is filling, so come hungry or ready to share.

Pineapple orange mimosa is also yummm!

Passing through this fantastic town on the way back to Ohio and stopped in for a snack because it was busy which usually means tasty. We weren't disappointed. The wife ordered a five flavored flight of beer goodness and I worked on tasting their harder stuff too I settled on a bottle of mellow gin that will make great cocktails at our Ohio home despite being from Michigan ;-)

Will stop back in when in town on next trip and won't hesitate to recommend to anyone passing through.

Had an amazing dinner there last night. Service was spot on. April and Brandon were awesome, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Food was fresh and tasty. Couldn't ask for better. Will be back!
