Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel

Thank You Chicago!!! for a wonderful HOME ALONE Christmas. This was my first Christmas in Chicago and it was magical. Renaissance Hotel was great I was greeted with a wonderful man who Loved football we talked about the Christmas game in KC.( I wish I could remember his name.)
Dani Greeted me at check in. Dani made sure I had a great visit and accommodated my every need.
Renaissance Hotel was truly a Christmas story to remember, being so far away from home on such a special holiday. Every visit to the lobby was one filled with families gathered around the Renaissance magical White and silver Christmas Tree.
I can't think Dani enough for making me feel at home, I cant wait for me next visit.

Stayed here while visiting family! Confusing check in as they didn't know we booked the room through AirBnB but we loved our stay. The bartenders were VERY accomodating and the front desk customer service reps were more than helpful. Would recommend to others. We will be back!

Ran out of stars! AMAZING SERVICE! AMAZING HOTEL! AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I wanted to give more stars, my family and our pet really enjoyed our stay! They have been so awesome and understanding of our needs! Nadia was spectacular. Be sure to ask her for anything she can help with, and she is so lovely! Kathleen and Dani were awesome, and they really helped with understanding and helping us with our stay! Honestly, don't stay anywhere else. This was truly home away from home. They have refreshment hour in the evening, and the bartender was awesome as they have a bar! The breakfast in the morning was truly a chef's kiss! Araceli, Reece, and Jorge were our servers! Be sure to hang out with some friendly chit-chat! Renaissance is on my top list of places to stay, and since I have family here, I will always stay here when I'm in town! Thank you for all that you did! It's such a beautiful place. And P.s. be sure to take in the interior decor, it is spectacular, and there is a pool table to enjoy some downtime, a gym that is so clean and well equipped. The washrooms are so clean that the service is 10 stars!

Despite some initial hesitance due to mixed reviews, I was ultimately pleased with my stay at this hotel. The staff was welcoming and courteous, contributing to a positive overall experience.

The room provided was generally well-maintained and comfortable. However, the bathrooms seemed somewhat dated, detracting slightly from the otherwise high standard of the room. A particular area for improvement would be the bathtub - replacing the existing tubs with walk-in showers could significantly enhance the comfort and modernity of the bathrooms. The curved bottoms of the tubs were notably uncomfortable.

The hotel's steakhouse was a highlight of my stay, providing an enjoyable dining experience within the hotel itself.

On the other hand, the buffet breakfast, while adequate, could have been better. It didn't quite meet the expectations set by the other amenities offered by the hotel.

Following the advice of previous guests in their reviews, I requested a room away from the highway. This resulted in a quiet and comfortable setting, and I would recommend future guests to do the same, if noise is a concern.

Overall, despite a few areas for improvement, my stay was largely enjoyable thanks to the hotel's welcoming staff, quality steakhouse, and comfortable room.

This place is so amazing compared with pricing. Staff is so welcoming and available for any questions, and the room was so nice! Conveniently near town to go places when you don’t want to be cooped up in your room all day, and checking in and out was smooth and easy. 9/10 recommend and definitely coming back.

Very great stay, had a wonder nights rest with me and my buddy “P”, breakfast always delicious, the staff were very delightful and satisfying to interact with, also with a respectful guy named reece or luis ! will definitely come back to the Chi town 5/5!!!

Rooms were nice. Staff was friendly. Only drawback was they didn't give us our wakeup call. That caused a bit of unneeded rushing.

Stayed here briefly when I got divorced but I'm coming back for the service at Ruth Chris, great happy steak sandwich and fabulous staff, Martini and the great sober Mexican with a guy with a misspelled Ronald name.

Clean hotel with modern and well maintained rooms. It kind of reminds me of Aloft, but less eclectic. If I need to travel for work in the area again, this will definitely be my choice.
It should be noted too, the laundry on site is reasonably priced which is a huge plus for me.

This was a very nice place to stay, especially for the price. The room was clean and nice. The breakfast was good and the drinks at the bar as well. The staff was very friendly and we really appreciated that the front desk was on the ball with any issues/requests we have. Would we come back to stay here? Yes.

This is the reason you should stay here. This man has a quality about him every hotel should be looking for when hiring employees. I loved every second of my stay because of all the staff.

This hotel is perfect for business or quiet weekend away. Great place , good food, good people, complimentary shuttle, great prices. If you have a problem, tell them and they fix it quick. What else do you need. World class steak house attached to hotel and its also amazing.

Shout out to David and Vincent and the rest of the front of house staff! The hotel was full and they all managed to not only provide amazing service but they did it with a smile.

My experience at the hotel was pretty good but became Exceedingly Memorable and Excellent because of Angela at the front desk. I felt like I was in good hands and well taken care of. There was a sense of she was going above and beyond what is expected of her. I hope she gets the credit or raise for what looks like possibly doing the job of others as well. I will return and recommend this to many others because of Angela. Thanks again Angela for making my stay better and accommodating my needs.

We had such a great experience from beginning to end-but the highlight standout was our shuttle driver Tony! He got us to and from our desired destination with enjoyable conversation, exceptional customer service and a sincere wish that there were more humans like this in the world. Thank you for taking such good care of us, adjusting to our changing plans and entertaining and explaining our musings about this beautiful hotel. Much like our rooms had the word “untamed” lit up under the bedside table, our experience here this weekend was likewise in the best way. Above and beyond and the most respectful compliment I can think to give this fine establishment is stay untamed! And Tony your name badge should definitely say Untamed Tony! Thank you thank you!!

We loved the location, the service was good, and the room was ok. We would stay again.

We stay here frequently when traveling to Chicago for work.The rooms and lobby are always clean but the front desk makes this place a home away from home. Everyone we deal with has always been so helpful, friendly and go above and beyond to accommodate any needs we have. You truly feel welcomed here.

This room was an unexpected 💎! Last minute choice needed a quick grab and boy did we luck out! Room was clean, guest service was excellent, bed was comfortable, shower was 🔥! This room was amazing and we'd definitely stay here again. If your in Chicago and need to rest, I suggest you plant yourself right here! My Wife and I will definitely return! Thank you Renaissance 💘!
