Double J Campground

We stopped for one night while traveling. Staff was super friendly, allowing us to book upon arrival, escorting us to our site, and even guiding us to park conveniently close to the electrical hookup, which was the only one of their full hookup options at that site that we needed. The bathrooms were beyond clean, and we were able to conveniently fill our propane on the way out. Would definitely stay here in warmer weather to checkout the nearby Lincoln attractions and use the park amenities.

Great customer service and amazing setup for class A vehicles. Definitely took the time to accommodate the requirements for big coaches and their sites are very nice. 45' with a toad and had plenty of room. Nice grounds keeping in the entire campground. Definitely worth the side trip off the freeway. Right by the Corvair museum on old Rte 66 :)

Very nice park plenty to do for all ages. Nice dog park. Didn't use laudry or bathrooms but sure they are well kept since, everything is nice. Close to interstate but unless you are a light sleeper it isn't a problem. Office workers super nice. Have only nice things to say and would definitely return. Prices good!!!!

My husband and I stay in our 5th wheel. The property is large with plenty of walking space. There is a game room/ bar in walking distance. They have a nice laundry room and bath houses are clean. They have a putt putt course, but it was closed for the season and needed repairs. The campground is around 7-9 mins feom food, grocery and Walmart. About 5 mins away are 3 nice antique malls. All and all no complaints. Would recommend and stay again.

Highly recommend!! Wish we could have stayed longer. Very well kept campground with lots of activities, super clean bathrooms, close to town and beautiful scenery.

Very nice campground! They have really spruced up the campground. New rock, trimmed trees. Long pull through sites, walking trail, playground, new dog fenced in play area & so much more! Highly recommend this campground.

NICE! Maintained, ample sites with fire rings, picnic tables (they could be cleaner) and mature trees. Lots of play things for the littles, and covered pavilion for groups. Easy to find, close to attractions. We will be back next year.

A really nice campground. Very well laid out. Laundromat. Very clean. Didn't get to use the pool but it was clean. The people running the place are very nice and accommodating. We will return again!

We stayed at the Double J campground while we took in the Lincoln sites at Springfield. The campground was great. Very clean and hot showers. Nice dog park. We would definitely stay again.

Great campground just outside of Springfield. Close enough for day trips, far enough that there is no light pollution. Everyone on staff that we've spoken to has been kind & helpful. The shower house I used was immaculate. Lots of activities for the kids, pet friendly with at least two dogs runs & a short, easy walking trail. Long-term campers sprinkled around the grounds. Quiet, peaceful...you can hear the highway traffic but it quickly fades into the background when you breathe it all in.

Great campground for our one nite stay. Clean tiled bathrooms. 2 dog parks level sites can’t find anything wrong here. Great owners really take care of this place.

This is an RV Park. Might have some cabins for rent, but we travel in an RV, so we wouldn't have a need for one. The camp is lovely and has a pool, showers, wifi, laundry and possibly other amenities. Quiet and peaceful nestled between a field of corn and a field of soybean.

Just left Double J Campground in Chatham, Illinois. (By Springfield, Illinois). This is a very nice campground right next to I 55. It is right by the highway but we didn't really notice noise from it. The roads and sites are a small river gravel which works great. No dust at all! This park has a huge, double sided dog park, mini golf, swimming pool, large playground plus recreation area, pavilion and walking trail. Highly recommend stopping here if passing through for a few nights or even longer!

Great place for Grand Design Unrally!! Owners were so helpful and considerate. Good level sites. Lots of shade! Full hookups. Would definitely stay again.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds we’ve stayed at. Well maintained with a friendly staff. They offer a lot to do from basketball courts to a well kept pool and lawn chess. I would highly recommend this place. Some pull through sites are a little close together but manageable. We would definitely stay if we came back through Springfield.

Spent last there while we were traveling through. Had a mix up on the reservation, the girl I talked to made it for the day I called and not the day we were arriving. However, they happened to have a site available and took care of us. Clean park, nice size pull through sites, tons of things to do. Overall an excellent choice.

Convenient location right off highway. We stopped here for overnight on a trip and were very happy. Nice large site w/ grass & trees. Kids activity area was really nice too! Will definitely plan a stop again.

Very clean, level campsites by the highway bit not too noisy and watching cars wiz by is more interesting than you'd think. Close enough to Springfield

Can't say enough about this place. Friendly helpful staff. Solid gravel driveways, pool wifi, cable, even pizza delivered, mini golf, showers, laundry facilities, storm shelters, an a actual small store. Lots of spots for pull through rvs. Very peaceful an a great place to kinda get back to nature. Best rv Park for a 100 mile radius. Few minutes from downtown Springfield! Owner's and staff are great.

We stayed here over the last week. The place is incredibly clean, very well maintained. Bathrooms are very nice, which is important because we have a popup without a bathroom. I wish the bathroom was more centrally located, or there was a path to the bathroom from all sides, instead of having to walk so far to stay off the wet grass, but that's not too big a deal, I'm just nit-picking. There is an awesome dog park. The pool is big and crystal clear. The people were very friendly. The campsites could have more space between them, but overall a great experience. I highly recommend.
