Lake Pointe Grill

Jambalaya was perfection. Seafood platter okay, but had too much spinach. Salmon cooked well, as was the root vegetables. Brownie was a bit undercooked, but heavenly. Raspberry cheesecake was the yum.

Came back after one year (traveling through Springfield), and food is still delicious. Erica was an excellent server--bubbly and awesome all around.
Had the special, pork pad Thai (medium), was definitely spicy, but still delicious.

My boys had the Mac n cheese, that was awesome, too.

Bathrooms were clean and women's had the baby changing station.

Great place to meet and eat before performances at UIS! Always good and a nice variety of foos for all palates. And the waitstaff was friendly and accomodating!

Absolutely delicious food, and a great environment! Many good memories here, it is an absolute shame that it will be closing it's doors after so many years.

All three of us ordered something different and all of our entrees were exceptional!

First time here. Had the shrimp & grits. Excellent flavor, just the right balance of spices. Color this southern gal surprised, delighted and stuffed! Stopping here next time through Springfield.

Very nice food. Very good service. We had reservations. Filled up quickly. Variety of menu items. I had falafel pita. The low country green beans were lightly sautéed.

This restaurant has all the stuff that a good restaurant is supposed to have: good location, good parking, good staff, nice ambiance, but what makes this place truly outstanding is the food. Nothing prepackaged or pre-cooked here. The wood-fired pizza oven is in the corner of the dining area. When you pull up, you can smell the smoker cooking in the back. This is probably my favorite, closest restaurant to my home, but I'd go miles out of my way to go here.

Corned Beef, cabbage and potatoes from Lake Pointe Grill are so good. Food was delivered so quick and was still piping hot! Thank you Lake Pointe for saving our 8th wedding anniversary!

Had the Jumbalaya and it was delicious! Happy to know I can take my family of nine and still sit together.

We've been coming here for 2 years relatively consistently. The food is much better quality than the typical diner fare around Springfield, with a more thoughtful approach of ingredients and menu choices.

It isn't 'fancy' per-se and the atmosphere is very relaxed, but the food is good, staff is always pleasant, and we always walk out glad we came.

The food was delicious! The chips and dip were so good. The salsa was the best I ever had. My husband had the stuffed meatloaf with real mashed potatoes and green beans. He really liked it. I had the Michigan Ave. Pizza. So good! Eric the bartender was our server. He made the experience so fun and made the best martini. I would recommend this place!

Pizzas are fantastic, satisfactory wine selection! Even the house salad was good!

Ive been to Lake Pointe many times since it first opened. The food is consistently great, service is always good. The prices are reasonable and they usually have specials. Its not a quiet little place when its busy, but everyone is pleasant. The menu has a variety of items, pizza, salmon, great salads, meatloaf even.

Had Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp was wonderful. Use to get same thing at Mario's but last few times don't think it was homemade. It would be worth the extra time and miles to go to Lake Point. Had 5 in our group didn't catch the waitress name but she was really good and would hopefully have her again next time I go in.

Super causal or moderate dressy is cool too. The menu has something for everyone at multiple prices points. There are enough wood fired pizza options to keep you coming back for quite some time. The specials are always well thought out and have a nice presentation. Full bar with drink specials. The outdoor patio is seasonal. Nice selection of appetizers as well. Service is typically on the attentive side. There are occasionally wait times on weekends in the summertime.

We love this restaurant. It is always a treat when we get to stop here on our way through Springfield. The wood fired pizzas are great but their tuna is amazing. My husband loves the stuffed meatloaf. Expansive menu, attentive staff and great food.

The place is good good food it was not crowded usually their are but we want for late dinner . Service was quick foods came out fast it was tasty I had horseshoe its the famous dish in Springfield they carrit it only here you can't find other city its taste at the bottom in top of your choice of any kinda of meat 🍔 I had the beef burger in top of it fries 🍟 cover with molte cheese 🧀 , here will be the point who have the best home made cheese 🧀!?? Well go around Springfield and find out you will not be disappointed they all good but always their is the very good ones!! Please let me know 🙏 when you find the one..

These guys were great. I was passing through while traveling from Chicago to St Louis. Called from the road, and they had my pizza got and ready when I walked in the door. Good atmosphere with quick and friendly service. A welcome respite from fast food options.
