So thankful the campsite was open so late in October. Only a hour and twenty minutes away from Acadia NP. Campsite had beautiful scenes of the water. Was able to walk down to the beach and experience the sunset. While we didn’t get to meet the owner, she was so nice and personable on the phone! Will be coming back when planning our next ME trip.

Lori, the owner of this amazing oceanfront campground, is so friendly. She is always so happy to see you and makes you feel welcome. The ocean views are amazing. The campsites are the perfect size, mostly shaded and clean. The pit toilets are clean and sanitary. This is the Best campground in Maine. We come here every year and look forward to coming back next year!

I can't say enough great things about this campground. For starters, Lori is the most kind and down to earth person I've ever met. She was so accommodating when our schedules were tight and we were only able to stay one night. The campground had a beautiful beach, and the views were amazing. The campground was great, lot 14 was a nice private spot with no one beside you! Electricity at every site, bathrooms were so clean! If you're in the area and looking for a place to stay, this campground is a must!

Thank you for everything Lori! Can't wait to visit again! ❤

What a lovely place! Just walk down a ramp to a small ocean beach, or lounge on a chair on the bluff to watch the spectacular sunsets. Lori and staff are so friendly and helpful, and the facility is clean and well-kept. A variety of sites, lots of privies and drinking-water faucets. Highly recommend!!

Thank you Lori! We are sitting by a fire on, regretfully our last night of the season. Can't wait to come back!
Facilities clean and thoughtful
Staff lovely and welcoming
Views amazing!

I can't say enough about our experience from the first phone call to book a site, so happy we chose to come to this hidden gem. If you haven't taken a dip in 55 degree salt water and then taken a HOT OUTDOOR shower...you're missing out. Thanks again! Semper Paratus!

This is my favorite ever campground in the US. We’ve traveled across the country twice in our camper. Everything about this campground is great. Simple, clean and in a beautiful setting. Love the outdoor showers! And my dog can enjoy the beach with us. No better hosts than Lori and Paul to the point that now there’s a lobsterman who comes around and you can get lobbies straight off the boat and cook them over your campfire in a pot provided by Lori along with crackers and picks. Highly recommend this gem of a place!

This place was absolutely delightful. The reviews about Lori are true, she is a wonderful host and owner to this beautiful campground. The water was amazing, I would recommend jumping in. Very clean. Close enough to Acadia if you are thinking of visiting park locations. We will be visiting again and again!

Favorite campground in my life history. Friendliest folks, clean, spacious, peaceful. Live lobsters delivered to your campsite. Outdoor showers. No light pollution at all. More stars than you’re likely to see in many places. Not easy to get to but SO worth it!

Enjoyed my stay here! I took some photos and biked around in nearby Deer Isle & Stonington, and I appreciated the proximity to that area. The beach was great. Electricity was appreciated as well for my dying phone I needed to use the next day on my bike ride. Most noteworthy though was Lori's helpfulness.

She not only gave me directions to nearby sunrise/sunset locations and cautioned me from biking over the bridge, but she later saved me when I had unknowingly driven away to Deer Isle during an oncoming rainstorm, and I realized I didn't cover my tent with a rainfly. Thankfully I'd left it behind at the campsite! I called Lori at HQ to see if someone could quickly throw it on. She was genuinely eager to help and volunteered to do it herself. I came back to my site with a rainfly on and a dry tent!

Thanks Lori - you rock!

This is an interesting, campground and interesting owners. Have Lori tell you about how she built the campground herself. The campground sits on a body of water called Eggemoggin reach.
Drives and pads are chat. Sites have power only, but that seems to suit campers. Would return again

This place is very special. Short walk to a private and beautiful beach with sunset views. Amazing owner, just a great person, we loved her and my kids loved her too. Everything is clean and not a spec of trash to be seen anywhere. You can tell they love this place as much as the campers and have so much pride in their property. All the other campers were friendly and respectful. We already booked again for next year!

We tent-camped here a few days ago and had an absolutely wonderful experience with this campground. Lots of plus points:

-gorgeous beachfront location
-at the same time nestled in the woods
-variety of campsites
-super quiet both during the day and at night
-owner Lori one of the coolest people we met on the trip
-bathrooms conveniently located around part
-bathrooms super clean and well maintained
-showers CLEAN and hot
-firewood on site
-the whole place has a warm welcoming feel
-good crowd: everyone nice and respectful
-did I mention Lori? She is dedicated to making sure everyone is having a wonderful experience

Cons:
-honestly none I can think of

We’ve stayed in a few campgrounds over the years. This was by far the best of the bunch and will probably ruin us for all future campgrounds :)

Thanks Lori, we miss you already!

Wonderful place. From the moment you arrive, you know. Lori and everyone at the campground are very welcoming. The entire place is spotless. Outside showers are such a treat. Water from their own well tastes like springs. Surrounded by nice mature trees and enough space to feel comfortable. Everyone is relaxing here and the kids are welcome 🙏
Dogs too. Garbage cans, dog poo bags. Water spigots are conveniently located around the campsites, never too far. The beach is gorgeous. Very natural and many small areas to sit or lie down. I was able to paddle board easily in the reach. And as a bonus. The sunsets are breathtaking. Envoy.

I wish every campground could be like this. They deserve every 5 star review. Incredibly friendly, clean and just the right size. The sites are spaced far enough apart that you don't feel like people are camping on top of you. Trees on most sides, but the sites still get a good deal of sun. The beach is fantastic. The bathrooms and showers are spotless - (love the outdoor showers). It's clear that they care to create a comfortable campground instead of trying to maximize every square inch at the expense of the overall experience. I hope we can stay here again at some point.

A wonderful camping experience. Our tent site was private, flat and spacious. We were in walking distance to the very clean bathrooms as well as drinking water. The showers were hot, clean with great water pressure. There is also a dish washing zone! We loved seeing the fireflies at night and being able to enjoy the beach during the day. Our children loved the rope swing! Close proximity to Stonington, lighthouses, and lots of nature preserves to walk. Lori is amazing! Thank you for making a warm and inviting camping experience for all!

For me, this was the perfect campground. My wife and I were looking for quiet and friendly. The outdoor showers are really cool, and that anaconda of a rope swing is awesome. Lori is a great host, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We loved the campground so much, we booked a few nights this fall as we were heading out. If you are looking for a fun stay with a really beautiful beach (rock beach, this is not OOB) this is the perfect setting. I see many more stays in our future.

Stop searching now and make this your camp spot. If I could give 500 stars, I would. Lori is such a warm welcomer - she made me feel like I belonged in a big way. Everything is spotlessly clean. The out houses included, no smell issue at all. Lots of space between sites. Beautiful beach to swim on. Hot outdoor shower to clean off. Everything about this place is beautiful, perfect and done with love. Can't wait to return. Great for van lifers, affordable place with power at every site. Bring your weboost.

We have gone to 18 campgrounds this summer with our new camper. This was, by far, our favorite. To start with Lori greeted us upon arrival with a jubilant welcome, making us feel at home right from the get go. She gave us some unbelievable news, there was a cancellation and we were able to get an oceanfront campground(#9). It was by far the best site in the campground. The views were fabulous. If you ever come here try to get site #9. You will have to reserve more than a year ahead. We tried for next year.
The campground is extremely clean, the bathrooms are big and really the most attractive bathrooms I have seen. I try to not use the bathrooms at campgrounds but these I wanted to use. The showers were wonderful. There are two outdoor showers and you can see the stars if you shower at night.
All around the campground there were special touches, like you can order lobster and they provide pots for you to cook it in. (with the ocean water you collect)
Bravo!!!! Congratulations to the hosts!!

We stayed here two years ago during a warm October. It was a wonderful three weeks and we can’t wait to visit again when we get back to the east coast.

Lori is a wonderful host and made us feel like family. The facilities are great and were exactly what we needed (clean showers with ample hot water, self-serve firewood, plenty of information on local activities, and a peaceful beach). It’s a perfect base to explore the quiet side of Maine. We loved the Blue Hill Peninsula and hope to return soon.
