Settlement Quarry Preserve

Nice little hike and great views. Going straight when you come to the fork is easy, but we looped around, and it came out to right, and that could be more difficult for people, lots of tree roots. Love the painted map at the top pointing out everything you see in the view ahead.

Looking for easy to moderate trails with some level trails in the mix. Perfect walk with our 2 dogs on variety of terrain, woods, open areas with several great views from granite boulders with plenty of places to sit and chill. Enjoyed reading the history of the quarry. Well marked trails.

Straightforward hike that leads to a unique quarry area, where nature has long taken over, and wildlife is abundant on the ground and in the skies. Well kept trails, and great visibility on the coastal side makes for a relaxing hike while keeping it a bit different than a normal stroll.

Beautiful nature area with old quarry that created beautiful landscapes full of history!

Beautiful views and some important Maine history. Be sure to take the Glacier Trail thru the forest, then take the main trail back to the parking lot. Both trails are easy and take you thru beautiful forests full of different ferns and mosses. It's a great place to take the kids.

Cool place to take a hike. The signs once you are hiking could be better, I ended up walking a lot longer than I wanted to trying to find our way out, it was really beautiful though. Challenging as well.

Relatively quick and easy hike. Well maintained and great views. There's a ring of benches built into a recess out of the wind, near the summit, if you bring a picnic.

Annual ritual of hiking up here to overlook beautiful Webb Cove. Lots of history here be sure to stop here.

It was a really nice place to share with a 3 year old. Fairly easy trails, nice views, and great nature! We'll definitely go back more next year!

Easy hike in wth the pups on forested trail with modest incline. Open expanse at the top with trails extending out and around. Spectacular views. Interesting with posted explanations about the quarry and what you were seeing.

This place was absolutely wonderful offered breathtaking views and historic information plaques the trails were wonderful and easy enough for a beginner ....Plenty of parking available ...bugs were not bad!
