Gander's Family Restaurant

A great family restaurant with good food and good service! Gander's has offerings for every family member with an extensive menu and great prices. Their kids menu has a great list of foods that even the pickiest eater will find something they like. I had the bacon, cheese, and mushroom omelet and it was fantastic! Give Gander's a try, it's local hometown food that has just about something for everyone.

Awesome! Service, atmosphere and food all in one. Jessie, the host, was sweet and great to talk to. Highly recommended if you’re looking for some homemade food with lots of options!

Great family restaurant with hearty meals at a very affordable price. I like these family restaurants because they preserve some of the classic American dining experience! I had a nice smothered chicken breast with coleslaw and mashed potential with gravy, and everything was delicious! Staff was super nice too!

Awesome tiny family restaurant with extremely generous portion sizes! You definitely will not leave here hungry! Their menu prices are extremely reasonable. We just stopped on a road trip from Texas on our way to Bay City. We just happened to exit here and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality and hospitality of the restaurant!

Would not hesitate to recommend stopping here to anyone!

I do not have good enough words for this review! My daughters and I came in after only getting off the exit to get gas and a quick bite from Subway although we weren’t in any rush. They couldn’t make their mind up on what subs they wanted once we got in line so I seen this place. That was the absolute BEST indecision that they could have had! We ordered pancakes, eggs, sausage with cheese omelette, hashbrowns, wings & fries. Now, for the review..

Pros: The moment you walk in, you feel like you’re at Grandma’s house up North 😍 And it is sooo very clean! The ladies greeted us immediately then were so friendly and patient & kind for our entire meal without being overbearing. The food came relatively quick. Now listen, THIS FOOD WAS SO GOOD!! The pancakes were fluffyy! The eggs were perfect! The hashbrowns 😋 were cooked golden and tasted like fresh grated potatoes 😍🤩 Their French fries were of great quality and fried perfectly! The photos don’t do this restaurant enough justice. The prices were super fair!

Cons: They don’t serve grits 💔💔 If you know me then you understand 😿

Overall, I’m excited to share this gem with my family and friends anytime we are in Luna Pier, we’ll be sure to make time to stop here 🥰

We had a great meal at Gander family restaurant! The total bill with Tim was around $80 for three of us, and our food was absolutely delicious! The flaming cheese appetizer really is exactly what it says it is. It comes to your table on fire! French dip was great, and the Greek omelette was the best ever! Our service was very good and the facility was clean.

My wife and I were just passing through and we decided to stop at Luna Pier to have a look at Lake Erie and get bite to eat. There was a little liquor store open and we asked the clerk for a suggestion on places to get a simple lunch and he suggested Ganders. Our server at Ganders was friendly, nice, and attentive, and the BLT and fries were tasty. The prices are definitely reasonable. We may never pass that way again, but if we do we’ll probably visit Ganders again.

We visited this restaurant this morning and got a taste of quite a few different things. All of it was absolutely delicious! Service was fantastic and unbelievably quick. The prices were unbeatable. Will definitely return! (Kids also gave it a 10 out of 10)

Everything home cooked . Food was awesome. Excellent little diner on the route from Cleveland to Detroit. Jesse the server was a sweetheart. Will stop again on the next trip

Absolutely delicious homemade breakfast! The coffee is fantastic as well! The staff is friendly and my cup was never empty. If you're in the area, be sure to stop here for breakfast!

This place is a hidden gem. We found it by the road sign and took the long way around to get to it. Definitely worth the stop!! We will be coming back. The food is amazing and came out fast and hot!! The service is by far the best we’ve had in a while.

I'm sorry that the new owner of the truck stop cross the road is money-hungry and rip off drivers now with 20$ for parking.

We decided to spend the afternoon in Luna Pier and found this wonderful diner close to the beach and just off I-75. Excellent food and wonderful service. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed and had a booth by the window.

Speedy, but not rushed service. Our server was amazing, sorry, I forgot your name, but she gave some awesome recommendations and shared a little bit of the history of the restaurant.

I'm sure we'll be back.

If you're looking for a mom-and-pop type of setup here's the place to be. Great food and great service
