A very cool place to visit and a must see. Just know that you should have good walking shoes on. The hill you have to walk up is a killer on the legs and back but, if you can't make it up there it's worth it. When you get to the top of the hill just know there is more steps inside to go in the 2nd story.

Cool structure, but we are still asking why it exists?

A great historical replica fort that I have been going to as long as I have been alive. It as take some abuse from people who do not appreciate the uniqueness of it and the great outdoors that this area has to offer. A great place to bring anybody who wants to see a great view of the surrounding area.

Quick little stop for a bit of history. 15 minutes is plenty of time to take in this site. Definitely worth the stop. I’ve never seen anything like it any where else.

Beautiful stop on my #DiscoveryMichigan tours in Muskegon State Park. It's the highest point in Muskegon County. This is a recreation of the 1930s original, which burned to the ground in 1962. The original was build part of President Roosevelt's New Deal in the CCC - Civilian Conservation Corps.
