Been going there since before I could drive! Always listen to what I'm concerned about and treats me with respect. Would send anyone there for help with their vehicle.

They did a FANTASTIC job on my 2017 Ford Focus! It was a job to considering that Rudolf tried to take my car out. It's all better now thanks to Gil's Collision.

Kevin and his team were lovely to work with. They were extremely transparent as to process, timelines, and expectations. Even when parts seem to be held up by supply chain and delays out of their control, they were always on the phone with me explaining what was going on.

Repairs to the damage of my vehicle were done perfectly and definitely will be recommending this shop to anyone in need.

I discovered this family owned collision center in January when I needed a repair after an accident. They told me afterwards to come back anytime if I had any problems. They did great work, had great communication and were timely with the repairs.

Just recently I went back when my dealership must have not tightened the underbody cover properly after an oil change causing it to skid across the pavement while driving. The team at Gil’s took my car in once I arrived, after calling ahead (same day) and fixed it immediately. I was in and out in <15minutes. Great place, highly recommend them!

I've been taking my vehicles to Gil's for close to ten years now and won't take them anywhere else. The prices for the work are the most reasonable around, the quality of the work is great, they carry BG products which are hard to find and everybody is nice and helpful. I've read the negative comments on this blog and have determined that those folks have mistaken Gil's for a dealership at the Troy Motor Mall, probably the Dodge dealership because that is where I quit going for service.

My son's car was cosmetically damaged by a fire. The staff at Northwood Collision repaired his vehicle in a reasonable amount of time. They were thorough and even managed to match the paint job by blending colors on the hood. It looks better than it did when we first purchased the car. Kevin kept me up to date with his progress and roadblocks. I will definitely continue to use Northwood Collision for any other repairs needed on our other cars. They are honest and care about the final result!!!!

I have been taking cars to Gil's for years. Always a great job at a fair price. The owner, Kevin, is the man to know if you have any car issue. Body work, repair work, detailing -- Gil's does it all and does it all very well. Highly recommend.

When it comes to rating and reviewing things on a 1-5 star system, I don't take the far ends of the spectrum lightly. In this case, Gil's Northwood Collision is most deserving of an outstanding 5 stars.

I've taken all of my vehicles to them for all of my body repair and mechanical repairs and maintenance (outside of manufacturer service work) for several years and don't anticipate this changing anytime soon.

Kevin and his staff are fantastic and are always willing to explain/show everything as much or little as needed to make a well informed decision before performing any work. They never try to push extra work that isn't legitimately needed or requested.

I don't easily trust auto mechanics and have been burned many times in the past by shoddy work, but Gil's has earned my trust and respect. They stand by their work and on the rare occasion that I've had an issue persist after I left, they have done whatever was necessary to make things right.

Wonderful, wonderful experience! Keith gave a detailed look at the damage, an accurate and reasonable quote, and stuck to the timeline (even beating it by a few hours). Other places we looked into said they needed to replace the parts, costing us hundreds more, but this place was able to repair it by bending the original parts back into shape; something other companies said wasn't possible. Now our car looks brand new again! Our family will definitely be going here for all future repairs. 5 stars!

I dropped my vehicle off for mechanical work on a Sunday night.
Unfortunately the next day my son was in an accident and I towed it to Gil's. The mechanical work and maintenance was fixed and my son was back on the road while our collision repair was at Gil's. Before the insurance company ever came out the parts were ordered for the collision repair. They managed my claim great! We are all back on road.
I have been in the automotive industry all my life. I would not trust my vehicles with anyone else!

I have been taking my car to Gil's for about three years now. Kevin the owner has always explained what was wrong and what was needed to fix my car. Straightforward and simple. You can tell he is a "car guy". I will be going back because I get an honest answer to the problem and quality work.

He actually didn't end up repairing our car because it was as specialty job. A basket case restoration that I half finished myself.

Kevin was very nice to deal with though. He spent 40 minutes with me explaining why our project wasn't feasible, and he went out of his way to refer us to people who could help us. I visited 5 body shops in south oakland county looking for someone to take the project, and Kevin was by FAR the most honest and upfront. That's really all you can ask for. I actually called him for a reference on some mechanical work for another car after the fact, and he was again very helpful.

This is a dying breed, an owner operated business that actually cares about the work they do. I'd rather be told no and given an honest reason why, then left frustrated. When (not if) one of our other cars is involved in an accident, you can be sure Gil's will be the first and only place we'll take them. It's clear to me they care about the work they put out, as much if not more then the money.

We had Kevin work painting on three different cars. Painting and replacing bumpers on one car. All the work was first class and on time. Cost was right in line with my expectations.

Our go to place for any kind of service on our vehicles. We have been going here for over 8 yrs. They are helpful and honest and do good work. We have never had any problems or an unkind word. They are good people and we bring our friends and family here too.

Brought my car here to get fix,and i would highly recommend this place, they're fast, and their work has a lifetime warranty. The paint match perfectly with the original paint. Not to mention, the owner Kevin and his staffs are very friendly.

Repaired my son's 2008 Dodge and did an awesome job. Looks like new. Would definitely recommend this place.
