Second solo trip.. Loved this campground. Camp managers were so kind, helpful, even brought me some firewood at no charge when mine was rained on. So beautiful, quiet, and lots of pines. Awesome fishing spots.

My favorite campground. I really like the new hosts. I really appreciate that they enforce the 10 pm quiet time. Years past other hosts would allow loud parties well into the early morning hours.... not what I wasn't to hear enjoying the outdoors. Campground is very well taken care of, and nice sized lots.

Host this year are absolutely amazing Char and Wayne. Clean and large sites. My husband and I with our 3 boys stayed 2 weeks it was so relaxing and beautiful stayed right on the river dropped in and floated a hour float. Side note the fire flies were absolutely amazing at night check out the south side of the rover at night and there are literally thousands!

Beautiful National Forest Campground near Hesperia. The rustic campground offers a bathhouse with running water and flush toilets. Water spigots are located in the park for your convenience. The campground hosts, Ed and Denise are fantastic! They do an excellent job at keeping this park looking amazing.

Beautiful campground. It's not the high dollar glamping some look for, I honestly couldn't ask for anything more. The sites are clean, the people were friendly, and the sound of the river that was right next to my site sung me to sleep. The song birds were my alarm clock in the morning as well. I will be staying many more nights here

Always a good time here! Amazing natural river tubing carousel. Some great hiking paths and river views. The managers are super nice and helpful, and work tirelessly keeping the bathrooms clean!

Primitive campground, and very nice , quiet and clean . Camp hosts do an excellent job here, plus very helpful and knowledgeable of the area of course . Most sites are level and shaded , variety of sites and sizes for all types of camping , RV to tent . There is not a shower house but there is a restroom building , men’s / women’s are separated. Offering regular flushing toilets , which were kept very clean . There is at least one fresh / potable water spigot (maybe more ) located behind restroom building . No dump station . We towed a 29’ (Incl. tongue) travel trailer through here having no issues. Would recommend checking with camp host for max size RV . The river runs along one side if campground but no sites are near the water . And we could not see the river very well , but it’s not a long walk to get to it. We would return here , bc it’s clean , quiet , well kept and looked over by attentive camp hosts .

People who complain about getting kicked out because they're being too loud... trust me, they're being too loud. Read the rules people, it's quiet hour at 10pm. That's one of the reasons we come, for the peace and quiet. The hosts are amazing, they keep the sites and bathrooms very clean and they're super friendly and helpful!! We have been coming for years, this place is truly a diamond in the rough!! ❤

Ed and Denise were wonderful hosts! Beautifully kept up. Clean bathrooms. Running water inside the bathrooms. (No vault/pit toilets) No showers but upgraded from most national forests. Quiet. Serene. Will definitely be back!

Great campground, the Google Maps directions may not always work, if it tries taking you done any forest service roads you're on the wrong road. You'll want to take 168th Ave off of Garfield Rd and follow the signs. The campground is just off the river with hiking trails nearby. The rest rooms have running water and are cleaned regularly and there are trash dumpsters on site. Cell phone service is poor to non existent in the campground so you'll want to download any maps before going into camp, but once you are there this is a great place for some peace and quiet.

Beautiful campground!!! We have camped here every year for the last 10+ years... The sites on the right when you drive in are a short walk down a hill to the white river.. We always have tubes with us as you can go in the river from a couple of different spots at the campgroung and tube down river about a 30 to 40 minute ride and get back out at a marked spot and its still close enough with a short walk back to your camp site..
Its a rustic campground but they do have flush toliets, water and an ice machine where you can buy bags of ice.. The campground hosts have bundles of firewood and will deliver it to your site..
The campground and bathrooms are always clean, but there is tons of trees and you still can have some privacy from other campers..

I didn't stay here but I did trek around the trails and through part of the campground. It looks pretty awesome and your right near the white river. It's weird that Michigan campgrounds don't stay open past Labor Day. I would totally camp here in the fall. Big sites and beautiful trails!

This is the perfect campground if you want a quiet, no frills camping experience.
No electricity or water at your site. No playground. Phone service is practically non-existent. But the sites are large and quite a few have a asphalt pad. There are lots of hiking trails and a river nearby. I liked it alot!
