Veterans Memorial Park

Fantastic walk, particularly for those with limited mobility on the south side loops. The bridges might be a challenge but they are optional. The upgrades and maintenance has been great but I wish there were more trash cans. They've recently replaced the dam and the pools are low and the paths are dry (save for a few icy spots). The north loop is still flooded and I'm not sure they can dam that area but the south loop is plenty big.

A little place to look at people fishing watch the baby geese kids playing fishing picnic reading benches eating ice cream.

One of my favorite parks. We go here to fish, walk, and watch sunrises. Its such a pretty place.

Perfect place to park for a quick lunch.

Lovely park, always well kept and the hard work the county put in truly shows. There are brand new signs in the center and the antique guns have been refinished. The bridges are a bit bumpy, so maybe not entirely wheelchair friendly, but besides that it is an absolute lovely little nature walk spot.

I had a interesting time at this wonderful place...NOT! Was looking for my finances cell phone BC he decided he wanted to throw it out our vehicle window...smh On a positive note we did find his phone and it works...thanks to me myself and I. So I guess everything was alright in the end but whatever...I dislike ALL the traffic that's my only flaw with this place....

They did a great remodeling job. My father. Grandpa and uncle's plaques are still there right by the bridge. Other than being between the busy causeway it's a good place to walk and check out. Love LOVE the willow tree.

Beautiful and Honorable and the fountain lights are lovely at night!

Its a great place to take a walk or just enjoy nature. Several memorials and plaques with soldiers names line the sidewalk. There are usually geese around depending on the season and possibly other wildlife

I love the walkway & bridges!! I take my grandson on "adventures" here since he was18 months old. I had a placemat made from a pic I took by the cannon.

Lots of history, take the time and show your respect it's simple your free and full of great choices. Remember you own the world, you just got to take it. Enjoy life every minute you breathe.
