The Rouge Salon and Spa

I haven’t had a hair cut in 2 years since I’ve been so scared from the last time I went to a salon and it got cut way shorter than I wanted!! I happened to be going to holland for my birthday trip and on a whim decided I needed a hair cut and looked up the “closest” places to holland… this place popped up even though it was a 40 minute drive😂. I was determined to still get my hair cut and Lindsi was my stylist! The moment I walked into the salon it gave me good feelings and I am so thankful that lindsi listened and reassured me she wouldn’t chop my hair ❤she was so kind and listened and is just overall really good at her job ❤ it turned out so pretty and honestly this is the first time I’ve felt comfortable with a stylist and have actually loved my haircut!!!! Too bad this place isn’t close to where I’m from, but it would be worth making a day trip out of it 😊 I can’t say enough good things about my experience! I will be back!! 😊

Hayley has transformed my hair! If you are a dark blonde that gets regular foils, make sure to book with her! The salon is so clean, inviting, and most of all, relaxing! I cannot recommend enough!

As a grand valley student, having a high quality salon just a few minutes away is such a blessing!! All of the woman who work there are so kind and friendly. It is an incredibly happy and bright atmosphere inside the salon. I personally get false eyelashes put on by the beautiful Kate K, and I could not be more happy with the service. I got my hair done at the salon awhile back and they found that the plan to lifting my hair didn’t go quite as expected (the hair ultimately is the boss haha) and they were so kind and had me come back free of charge to get it where we all intended! It turned out beautiful and I loved my experience!

Love the Rouge and all the services they offer! The stylists use great products, offer great cuts and colors, the men’s room for great men’s cuts, and not to mention Ophelia’s boutique connected to it to find a cute outfit to go with your new hairdo! Seriously go check them out!

Rouge Salon has been my go-to since 2021 because of the friendly atmosphere, inclusivity to all clients, and professionalism! Corrin is my go-to stylist, but I’ve sat in multiple stylists’ chairs before and have only had positive experiences. I love the ease of booking appointments, the flexibility during the visit, and the personalized care for each client based on their wants and needs. Rouge goes above and beyond in customer care: they offer a variety of beverages and sensory-friendly accommodations, are flexible about whether you chat with your stylist or bring other things to do, and offer a peaceful “mindfulness moment” before beginning your service.

Because this is an Aveda salon, prices can look higher than other local salons on paper. However, the quality of their service and products reflects the initial higher cost. I’ve never felt like I’m being “upsold” on something I don’t need during a visit - every product I’ve chosen to purchase and take home has improved my long-term hair care. With this improvement, I’m able to take longer between appointments, and my yearly cost ends up being close to what I’d pay for more frequent appointments elsewhere.

While I’d recommend any stylist, I will always have an extra kind word for Corrin. Her appointments will leave you feeling happy with the final product and confident in your own beauty. Corrin does an excellent job of helping you figure out what cut/color/look is most flattering for you while still celebrating your own personal style. She’s saved me from a couple disasters because she took the time to find out what I liked best about each idea I came in with and workshopped it to my own needs.

Long story short, book your next beauty appointment at Rouge!!

I have gone to the Rouge twice now and saw Corrin both times. I can not recommend her services enough!! She does amazing work, especially if you are blonde/looking to go blonde. The atmosphere of the salon is so cute and welcoming, looking forward to my next visit!!

I called this morning to see if I get low lights and a cut. I got to met Danielle, she did a fabulous job. I have white grey hair. I just love my new cut and color, it looks so pretty. Thank you so much Danielle.

I’ve been wanting bangs for a while. I really wanted them before vacation and I was getting dangerously close to cutting them myself. Rogue offer bang trim appts and Katy did a wonderful job. They are exactly what I wanted.
