Tolman's Auto-Tech

We've been using them for car repairs for a few years now. And I won't go anywhere else. They are very honest and never price gouge. They communicate very efficiently on what repairs need to be done what can wait and what may be coming up in the future etc. I have never had any bill that surprised me as again they are very thorough in their communication and never try to push repairs you don't need.

I started going here about 6 years ago as a college student. I still use them for any car related issues I have because of how friendly and professional they are. They have always given me a fair price and are always very quick with getting the vehicle fixed and back to me. Really appreciate all their hard work.

Trans Service Plus, which is attached to Tolman auto, is where I took my auto for transmission work. Very knowledgeable, fixed my issue, and very prompt service. Highly recommend.

Knowledgeable staff, always excellent repairs, and most of all, fairly priced. If it's an easy fix that can be done at home they offer accessible information on how to do it, as well as sources for purchasing any needed material.

I’ve always had good experiences with Tolman’s! My car was making some terrible noises, so I called and got it in right away. Brian was so helpful explaining how long it would take and when he would call to let me know the status. He explained exactly what was going on and gave me multiple options to decide what my budget would allow and didn’t pressure me into the most expensive one. They finished the repair in a timely manner and gave me the option to pick it up after hours, since I was going to be at work when they closed.

My family has been in the car business 75+ yrs Gramps/Pops always told me LOOK at how there shop is ie.Cleanliness /Orderly/Equipment in the right place AND that’ll tell you ALOT about the quality of the work you can expect.As for Tolmans Auto as soon as you walk in….this place epitomizes Professionalism .I’ve been going to Tolmans ever since I got stuck needing an emergency break job(5yrs ago)they were backed up and still got me in same day (actually) morning and I my way. I read some people complaining about pricing WELL you get what you pay for.The Crew( Brian, Phillip)at Tolmans have Always been up front with pricing.To say the least, I’ve appreciated them telling me what I need to know/hear, sometimes not what I want to hear but there under the hood/vehicle not me. If you want it done right no other place to “Get It Done” BZ and oh this is Joe not Bob i forgot my google account #🤣

I’ve went through Tolman’s multiple times for car repairs/oil changes and they’ve always been very helpful and also great customer service! I’ve had my radiator replaced, wheel bearing, back brakes, tires, a tire repaired from a nail, serpentine belt, etc. They’re always so quick to help me and they get me in and out in a fair amount of time. Very honest people work here. They’ve told me what repairs could wait and what ones are more urgent.

I’ve had Tolmans work on all of my family’s cars. They are straightforward, professional, and tell you what you need to know to get your car back on the road.

I have taken my cars here for a couple years now. I am always super pleased with the customer service, prices, honesty, and work that occurs every time I bring my cars in!

My car was not running right, so I had them inspect it, and I was informed that there were quite a few problems that needed to be fixed with my car. They called and kept me updated the whole way and were transparent about pricing, etc. Despite the number of repairs, they finished the next day and the car has been running perfect since. Price was reasonable and staff was very nice and knowledgeable. Overall great experience, the ONLY people I trust with my car now.

The rear brake caliper siezed up on my Lexus IS and they had me out next day. They were a little on the pricier side but great service.

Brought my truck in with an issue that I knew had the potential to be quite expensive to fix and doing it the expensive way was the easiest route. Instead of doing that, the staff went out of their way to keep the costs to a minimum while still doing good work. Also did a great job of communicating the status of the work they were doing and the timing to get it done. Can’t say enough about the work that was done - overall very satisfied.

I have brought my cars here countless times and have never been disappointed. Tolman’s is one of the only mechanics I trust Here in west Michigan, they are very honest and upfront and great at what they do. Got my mustang fixed here after a front end accident and they restored it back to perfect condition. They have also worked on my girlfriends car, In addition they will be changing my belt on my Honda Accord. I can’t say enough about the service here. If your looking for great mechanics I recommend Tolman’s hands down.

When your college student's car breaks down and you can't take it to your trusted mechanic, you have to take a chance on someplace new. I'm so thankful we found Tolman's. They've been helpful from the 1st phone call to the last repair. Their prices were fair (the same as our mechanic quoted) and they've made the repairs quickly. I'm glad we now have someone who 'knows' our car and we trust to take care of issues as they arise.

My husband and I have been taking our cars here for over 10 years. They have always been very up front and honest with us about what is an immediate need vs. something that can wait. While I'm sure I might be able to find another place that charges less in some circumstances, I have been very impressed with the way they warranty their work and treat us as customers. You get what you pay for. I have recommended them to many family members and close friends who have all had positive experiences. As mentioned by other people here already, I have a daughter attending college and you have to find someone who can take care of your emergency needs when you are hours away. We reached out to Tolman's based on the ratings in these reviews. I must say I agree completely with those who have placed a 5 start rating. They were able to get our car in the following day to review. When Jim called he stated, "I don't have good news, it's bad". He not only walked me through the details of the repairs needed but what he also looked at to minimize the costs. His sincerity and the amount of effort he put forth to reduce as much as possible a very expensive repair is GREATLY appreciated. What was anticipated to be a 2-3 day repair based on part availability ended up being fully repaired in 24 hours.
If we have any concerns going forward this will be the place we will take it to. Again a personal thanks to Jim for everything he did to minimized the costs and the speed he was able to get the repair completed.
