Been going there for years now. They have great food and amazing wait staff. and also the line cooks are just as amazing. They are quick. Highly recommend going there.

When my wife and I get to Cloquet to visit my Son and Daughter-in-law, we go there. One of my all time favorite restaurants. It is a busy place, but no waiting. Large portions and great prices as well. You won't regret stopping there. Not open on weekends though.

Best breakfast around and good size portions. I drive from duluth to eat breakfast here. Highly recommend and the staff is always friendly.

Always the best classic food that reminds me of what my grandma used to make. I judge most places based off of their biscuits and gravy, and Family Tradition has some of the best I've ever had! We definitely will be coming back again and again.

We wanted a real breakfast after a few days of camping and headed here from Jay Cooke State Park. The people were friendly the food was perfect, couldn't have asked for a better breakfast and service. Dont skip a cup of coffee. Will be back someday. We had to make q small plate for the pups they were also hungry from all hiking.

Found this little gem on our way up the north shore. Stopped in for breakfast on a Friday and they were packed but we got seated in a short amount of time. The crew really hustled the whole time we were there. They never missed a chance to refill your coffee and when the food came it was hot and fresh and the portions were very large. We'll be back.

We stopped in for breakfast to fill up for road trip up north. They're busy today due to memorial weekend. You seat yourself. We're greeted right away. Servers are fast. Our breakfast are so good ☺ The locals are so nice.

This little restaurant is fabulous.
The waitresses are so friendly.
2 times going there and both times the food was fantastic.
You definitely don't go home feeling hungry.
They are very busy there.
It's has that home away from home feeling.
I hope they find enough staff so they can extend their hours.
Will go back again soon.

This was an all around amazing experidnce!! The service was impressive. Eating out with a non-verbal autistic 5 year old can be difficult to say the least, the waitress took such good care of him (Offering crayons and serving him first). The rest of us were well taken care of as well. Made cherry cokes with cherry juice and cherries, YUM!! The food was very good. One in our party of 9 ordered a Big Jobn, after he got full he passed it around to everyone to try, he still had plenty of leftovers to bring home. Glad we choose this restaurant to eat at before we all parted ways, good way to end a great long weekend. Will stop again!!

This is a great place. We went looking for somewhere serving breakfast all day and they did not disappoint. We both had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Everything was excellent and the portions were generous. Probaby the best sausage gravy I have had in a long time. Coffee was good. Service was great. They have a great staff that is not shy to interact with their customers. We would go back.

The absolute best food and service in town. Had their omelette , the price was great, and it was delicious! Their waitress was a joy and kind. What a place. Nice job 👍

Not fancy, but great food. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Clean restrooms. Overall, just what we wanted.

Best restaurant in all of Cloquet.
Generous portions of homemade traditional food. Amazingly friendly service. Clean, cozy, nostalgic... this place has not changed over the years, and that's why I love it.

If you are looking for a classic 70s or early 80s classic dinner/restaurant this is your place. Huge portions great home style food not your typical off a corporate food chain menu and items. The only thing it was missing was the fog of cigarette smoke. But honestly I will be eating here again. Service was friendly and fast just like it was 40 years ago.

This is how it used to be when people were better and valued each other. From the food to the service it was amazing. It was as comfortable as home. John Johnson, Owner, does not leave his business to chance and you can almost always find him there working. I ran into some friends I haven't seen in a while and the time flew by without feeling rushed to give up our seats or that we were being a bother. I remember when Cloquet had places like Rudy's, The Pantry, Country Kitchen and more where there was so much more then just food service going on. It really was a Family Tradition and I have really missed all of it....
