Lower Huron Metropark - Turtle Cove Family Aquatic Center

After not having been here since 2008, I came here today with my family and it was SUCH a nice experience. Everything was very clean, the lifeguards were very alert and vigilant, it was busy but not insanely crowded, the line for the slides was only about 10 to 15 minutes, and I didn't see ANY litter anywhere. On top of that, all the staff that interacted with my autistic, non verbal 12 year old were SO kind to him. We all had a blast. It was great to see this place actually went uphill since my last visit!

What a great place to come for family-friendly fun. They have a huge splash pad with slides and a giant dump bucket, and tons of water featured for the little ones to enjoy. The bigger pool is amazing. The shallow end has a walk-in, gradual slope that mimicks a beach entrance. There are bigger slides in that pool. One where you use a tube to go down, and the other is a body slide. There are also water spouts in the shallow end for the little kids. The changing rooms and restrooms were very clean and well kept. There is also a food stand on-site that serves hotdogs, chips, and drinks. All in all, it was a great experience. We had a great time and spent several hours here, soaking up the sun and having great time

Perfect way to spend a hot summer day by yourself or with the kiddos! We love to relax in the lazy river, play in the splash pad, and take on the big water slide! It gets very busy by noon and on the weekends, but you can still have a fun time. I love to bring my own food for a picnic on the plush leafy grass!

Super fun!!! The aquatic center has everything you want. Big pool, lazy river, splashpad, and water slides. The entrance is reasonable in price. For the little ones there are free water flotties to use. The parking lot is huge and free, but access to the state park is paid. You can spend a whole day without getting bored. have fun!

Turtle Cove is awesome.
My entire family loves it. The swimming area. Turtle water run. Its all great.

Clean, a lot fun the kids had a good day, no food choices to get can always get it before coming and go out side to eat and go back inside

Beautiful, peaceful and clean park. Spaces for everyone...water park, playgrounds, campgrounds, biking and jogging trails, kayaking, fishing and just relaxing. I get the yearly pass.

We thought the prices were great for our experience! The pool never got deeper than 3'6, so I felt comfortable with my i year old swimming around. The slides were his first water slide experience and he said they were a lot of fun!! Over all great! We packed snacks and drinks in our towel bag and no one said anything.

Fun! Fun! Fun! Water slides splash pad huge pool. Extraordinarily amount of lifeguards. My grandson's loved it. They stayed busy for hours.

Great place for taking your family to an aqua park and spending the day. Highly recommended!!!

It's too bad they are not allowed to stay open for the weekends after Labor Day for as long as weather is permitting them to - at least Saturdays and Sundays. Maybe we can do something to change that, as September and sometimes beginning of October brings temperatures of 80s and 90s.

Great splash park spot for the kiddos. Friendly staff, friendly patrons. Good times.

There was a long line to get in and coulda been faster if the second window was open, but either way. We had a blast! Everything was clean! Def worth a visit :)

Beautiful day and the park was great. Food wasn't open so if you go to leave to go to the food truck make sure they give you a wristband to come back.

Amazing place for kids. Splash pad with slides and splash bucket. Lazy river - floating on the inflatables in 3 feet deep very lazy river. And the shallow pool is ideal for small kids. A lifeguard every 20 yards, attentive and friendly. Perfect spot for a family day (plus the new space playground near by, just amazing)

Great place to visit. Walked the trails. Others in the park were very friendly and respectful.

Perfect place for families. There is a kids area and the pool is no deeper than 3 ft. Along with a lazy River and two water slides.

Me and my family had a great time. We used one of the park grills and we were right next to one of the parks! The kids stayed on the swing and slides. Definitely will return! We didn’t get to partake in the water park it was a 2 hour wait the day we went ☺

Great place for a great price. They have a pool area, 2 large waterslides (one with tube and one just body), a lazy river, and a kids area with small slides and a bug bucket. We had a blast! Would definitely recommend!

We took the kids on a weekday. It wasn't to busy, and the kids had a lot if fun. The offer a couple water slides, the pool for swimming, a lazy river, and a kids water play area. It's not extremely big so I could imagine it does get pretty busy on the weekends. Tickets for kids over 48" and adults were $11 per person.
